If you ever need a true professional, ask for ENRIQUE CHAVEZ at Proven. He's a Certified Master…read morePlumber and hands down the most knowledgeable, reliable, and professional plumber we've ever worked with. Enrique immediately came and diagnosed a hot water heater leak that I only suspected and had it replaced within an hour -- even taking the time to drive out and get the part himself. The next morning, when a new flood appeared in the same spot, he came out on a Sunday and quickly discovered it was a completely unrelated leak from our main water entrance. (Back to back leaks? Toll Brothers developers are developing a huge area next to our street and have literally been geo-forming the earth--jack hammering through layers of karst that our homes are sitting on. We have seen emergency plumber trucks up and down our street lately...) Back to the good news! Because special adaptors were needed, the repair couldn't be completed that day -- but Enrique was back first thing Monday morning, crawling under an 18" space to replace half the distribution pipe connections. He explained every step, answered every question, and even gave great suggestions to improve our plumbing system long term. Professional, punctual, and exceptionally skilled -- Enrique goes above and beyond. Proven Plumbing & Air is lucky to have him, and we're lucky to have found him. Highest recommendation possible! I also want to give a special shout out to Yelp users for their excellent plumber recommendations! We couldn't have found Enrique with you, thank you!

Honestly the work is good...as it should be from a master plumber…read more The issue I have is the issue I've had with literally every plumber ever. They've got you over a barrel when they come out and start throwing parts. This was an install of a drop in kitchen sink and faucet. He told me his hourly rate was 135 bucks. I was expecting to spend about 400 maybe 500. The final bill was 850. I feel I was overcharged on both the parts and labor. He charged me starting 45 min before he got there but still included a "truck charge." The removal and replace of the sink took 2 hours. To me the "clock" starts on the labor at the agreed upon arrival time. When I'm getting charged 439(!) bucks for parts on top of the sink and faucet itself, that extra charge for labor is quite unwelcome. I mean the sink and faucet itself that were "nice" were like 500 bucks. So almost that again just in parts. ‍ His answer in general as I look at these reviews is that he buys his parts from a plumber supply not Home Depot etc. I would have to research each individual part to see if its price point is "fair". A perusal of solid brass fittings and pvc p traps on the Lowe's site shows the price I paid was about doubled. He acted quite insulted that I wouldn't know just how much better his parts were and implied they were all but unavailable at big box stores. literally doubling what I expected to pay was quite a shock to say the least. It is what it is. If I was able to do it myself, I would've. Live and learn Learn a trade kids lol

Reasonably priced for the services provided. I believe Braulio went above and beyond by showing what he found with the old heater. He provided advice on how to deal with issues in the future. Walked me through the new system, what things were different from the old system and how to flush the heater. Nobody wants to deal with repairs like this, but professionals like Braulio make the process a little easier.

I can't recommend Standard Plumbing and Braulio highly enough…read more As a single mom handling this kind of stuff on my own, I'm very aware I could be easily taken advantage of price-wise - and I never once felt that with him. Braulio was straightforward, fair, and clearly knew what he was doing, which made it very easy to trust him. The first time I called, I was in full panic mode! Water from my son's shower was leaking through the ceiling downstairs and I was convinced something major was wrong. He came out quickly, took the time to actually figure out what was going on, and it turned out to be a much simpler issue than I expected. Separately, when I first bought my house, I had been told there was an issue with my fireplace and got a quote from another plumbing company that was in the thousands. When Braulio looked at it, he realized it was something much simpler and far less expensive than what I'd been told and this really stuck with me. This weekend my water heater went out, and I texted Saturday night expecting I'd hear back at some point. He responded first thing Sunday morning with clear options and pricing, no pressure, and is already scheduled to come out Monday morning with everything ready to go. He's responsive, honest, and efficient, and he just makes the whole process feel a whole lot less stressful. It's rare to find someone you can really trust, and I'm very glad I did.

I asked multiple companies for a quote and Zach was available same day. He initially didn't want to provide a quick quote without seeing everything in person, but I pleaded and he eventually gave me a range of estimates based on what he knew and they were all reasonable (relative to the Austin market) . It frustrates me as an impatient homeowner when I can't get immediate quotes, but I think the need for companies to see everything in person is probably a good sign. He doesn't want to just tell people what they want to hear to get in the door and then surprise them when the price changes because something about the project made it more difficult. He was then willing to answer my technical questions about potentially repairing my existing water heater and even some local parts stores I could look at for the components that weren't working for my existing water heater. We also talked about CoA rebates, heat pumps, and all the options for water heaters. Companies have a lot of incentive to gatekeep this kind of information and Zach was willing to just help me out as I formed a plan that took my current budget into account. I ended up replacing my own water heater, but I am a stubborn, frugal person. Zach's customer service, availability, and reasonable quotes are appreciated. If my financial situation improves, I'll probably be giving him a call next time I have plumbing needs.
