I had a great experience with this company. They came out, explained to me what needed to be done, and completed the repair quickly in about an hour. We did not discuss price until after tbt repair was complete, however the amount sounded reasonable and they did good work. I would definitely recommend. They do only have hours until 4 pm and no weekends so it difficult to schedule if you work outside the home. read more

Called GANZ about a 2 inch PVC pipe (for sink venting) between the 1st and 2nd floor dripping water when raining. * Tech came and examined all other possibilities such as toilets and roofs. Then cut drywall to examine further. * Charged $98 total for dispatch plus half-hour diagnosis, but NO repair done as he explained to me that the leak could only be fixed when it is actually leaking/dripping water so that the fix could be tested. * Tech was punctual, polite, and clean. read more

Ganz Plumbing - Opening cut by GANZ tech to examine - Plumbing Near Me - Davie, Florida

Dangerous situation! On the evening of 3/6/23 we had to call 911 because our water heater caught fire and filled the garage with smoke. It was installed by Bryan and Juan of Ganz Plumbing Co., Inc. less than a year ago on 4/13/22. Luckily it was isolated to only the water heater. The next morning I called Ganz to ask if they could come out and check the water heater and have it fixed. Rose refused this request and would not schedule anyone to come out. She gave me the number to Rheem and said that I had to deal with them for any repairs. I spoke to her a second time and asked if they could please just look at it to see if it could be fixed and she connected me to Bryan who installed the unit on the telephone. I explained what happened and he stated that it could have been caused by the wrong gauge wire during installation. I again asked if they could please send someone out and they would not. I also informed Ganz that I had a licensed electrician coming to check the unit and also the circuit breaker for any damage. The licensed electrician stated that the cause of the fire was "localized faulty splices in water heater connection that had separated and melted causing arcing." These faulty splices were done by Ganz Plumbers as part of the installation of our water heater. They are responsible for the damage, the fire department having to come out, and our bill to fix the water heater. If this company has installed your water heater then you should have a licensed electrician come and look at the connections before you have a fire! They also did not install the on/off switch up to code and instead left the old plug connected to the unit. We trusted this company and they put our family in danger and now have not taken any responsibility. Very disappointing and dangerous situation created by a plumber we trusted to simply do their job. read more

I contacted Ganz Plumbing to see if they could come to replace an old toilet in my master bathroom. They came to my house the same day and took care of the issue. The plumber was professional and super courteous. The price of the service was more than fair. I will call them again whenever I need further assistance. read more

After a few disappointing experiences from other local plumbers, it was a pleasure to have a courteous and pleasant person( Rose) answering the phone every time. We dealt with Brian who came out to our home on several occasions. He handled a complicated Toilet problem which was resolve satisfactorily. He was patient, friendly and very professional. We can highly recommend this company. read more

A clog caused both toilets to be unusable in my 90 year old mother's house. Everyone I called couldn't be there until after the weekend including Ganz Plumbing. But then Rosemary called back to tell me she had found a way to squeeze Mom's job in. They came early the next morning, were very nice to mom and fix the clog and had everything back to normal in less than an hour. Mom was so happy! Next time we need a plumber we're calling Ganz Plumbing. read more

This is a top notch family run company. I had a major garbage disposal leak today in my mother's condo requiring a plumber immediately as the sink and dishwasher could no longer be used without causing a flood. When I called Ganz, the receptionist was very pleasantly, took my information regarding my problem and location then gave me a time estimate. Shortly there after the plumber called and asked if I could email a picture of the plumbing to be assured the work could be done correctly and efficiently. Brian showed up within the time frame given and completed the work very quickly. The entire cost was $240. A far cry from another company which quoted $400 and also had good ratings on Yelp. I live out of town so depended on Yelp to find someone for this job which is why I am reviewing today. Ganz Plumbing- the best! read more

No stars really, for a company that has a very convoluted pricing policy...$98 for first 1/2 hr and then prorated by quarter hour? And the receptioniist could not specifically say how much the prorated amount is! You have to do the math, and is it based on $196 divided by 4? Aka $98 divided by 2? So $49 for each 15 min, then why did she say with a laugh, "oh I guess about $24.00 a quarter". ? Huh? I called another plumber I've used for a past faucet repair for $95 which took an hour and guess what, now they will come out, give a FREE estimate and leave if you don't want them. Their pricing is BY THE JOB not by the hour. Much better since you aren't watching the clock while the guy tries to figure out his "ass from his elbow!" read more

Had a problem and called first thing on a Monday morning. The woman who answered the phone was curious and helpful, she told me that one of their trucks could come by before the end of the day, around 4pm. At noon she called me and said if I wanted she could have one of her guys to me in half an hour. I agreed and sure enough he was. The plumber "Kevin" was very nice and took the time to explain everything to me before starting with the estimate. A. Plesent people to deal with B. Got to me on time C. Workmanship looks great D. Very reasonable pricing 5 STARS for Ganz Plumbing read more

Its unfortunate they dont offer zero stars as an option. Stay very clear of owner Mr. Ganz... Extremely rude is as polite as I can be. Talks to you as if your a 2yrs old and has the personality of a soda can. Lady who answer phones however is pleasant. read more

Kevin from Ganz arrived very pleasant and great attitude. Completed leak in an efficient manner and excellent quality work. Very reasonable pricing. Rosemary was great over the phone. Highly recommended. read more

STAY AWAY!!! $400.00 for a $90.00 garbage disposal plus installation?? I understand there is a reasonable installation fee but $300.00 plus to install a garbage disposal? There are too many reputable plumbers out there. Unfortunately I relied on my realtor for a referral and it backfired. I ended up hiring an HONEST company and got the job done for $165.00. Beware of this company. I wish I had looked up all there reviews first as I would have seen all the 0-1 star reviews. read more

Tried installing a toilet on my own and ended up getting in over my head. Looked at one other company before calling Ganz but this other company was shady about their pricing. Mary was straightforward and up front. She was kind and answered my many questions over several calls. Coty came out and was very friendly and knowledgeable. He did an excellent job and explained everything to me as he did the work. I definitely would recommend Ganz Plumbing and plan to do business with them again in the future. read more

update again. They did a water heater for me, as I did not feel like doing it myself. (and YES I COULD) In / out / on time/ good job.... more highly recommended. read more

We had previously used Ganz for a job and were very pleased. They had stood behind their repair. All I can say about my latest experience is that it was most unfortunate. I agree with a posting about the excessive charges. Bills are not itemized. The plumber frightened me. That is the nicest thing I can say. Even posting this concerns me. I have never had such a negative repair experience. read more

After going through several other plumbers and plumbing companies who gouged me or cancelled appointments, Ganz is the only one I'll actually store in my phone contacts. They are wonderful from beginning to end. Their pricing is fair, and their people that come out to do the work are honest and courteous; example: I suggested replacing something, and the plumber recommended fixing it instead and saved me a ton of money. Because of this honesty and very reasonable prices, I've recommended them to all my family and friends. read more

Awesome!!!!! The plumber was very skilled and friendly! All around good home grown type of guy! The price was not bad either..... Everything in the house fixed in a short period of time! read more

Needed to have an old leaky toilet replaced and took a chance on Ganz Plumbing due to the excellent Yelp rating and reviews. It's been 2wks now and I've been meaning to post this to say that we are very happy with both service provided and total price of job. I work in customer service and always look for, recognize and appreciate good service when I receive it and from the beginning with Rosemary's pleasant phone etiquette to Al the Plumber's communication with me and doing a great job with perfectionist standards, I must say they exceeded our expectations and we will recommend and call them again if need be! I had an outside water spicket leaking (the handle needed to be replaced) & I got 4 quotes. The cheapest quote was $299.00 but I knew nothing about the companies & I felt the prices were very high. I called Ganz & they sent someone out (I didn't have to be there since it was out front). The quote was significantly lower & we set up the service. The repair is done & it came in exactly as quoted. Being a single woman I was concerned since you always hear horror stories of being taken advantage of. In this case I was very happy & will not hesitate to use them again. read more

Had an emergency and they showed up within an hour with the parts. Service man was really polite and handled the issue very professionally - In SFla it's hard to find someone to show up let alone fix the issue fast. read more

I was so very impressed with this company! The owner was very helpful on the phone. The plumber, Kevin, came out within a couple hours, called first as I had asked, and did an awesome job for a very fair price! I was actually expecting this to me a nightmare job but he fixed my leaky shower and was out of the house in less than 45 minutes! He took the time to explain everything to me and told me to call back if there were any issues as the new parts are under warranty. I couldn't be happier and I wouldn't use anyone else going forward! First let me say, their service is great. I own a condo in Davie and live out of state and they were doing work there today. Secondly, as a general contractor formerly from Florida and now reside out of state, they charge $98/hour for a plumbing laborer. This is extortion, use someone else and save over 50% on labor. Example: The plumber they have working for them is making somewhere around $20-$25/hour. They have overhead and profit to add on to this, understandable. Their overhead, for a well run company, should run around 15-30%. Profit for a company should not exceed 20%, if they do, they are taking advantage of the homeowner. So with 30% overhead and 20% profit, comes out to $39/hour. This is acceptable and industry standard for a skilled laborer. Feel free to look this labor rate up on RS Means which is the construction standard for estimating. They offer great service, but at what cost? You can find much cheaper plumbers that can perform equal quality of work at half the price. $98/hour is what doctors and lawyers charge, not plumbers. Take in mind this does not include materials. Consider this as well. As a general contractor, I price plumbers all the time. The most expensive plumbing contractor in my city costs $60/hour for two guys. At the $98/hr rate for one year results in a total of $203,840 (40hrs/wk x 52 weeks). How much do you think the plumbing laborer makes per year? $50k maybe. So Ganz Plumbing gets the remaining $153,840 per plumber per year. Ganz is either making a killing off us or he can't mange his business. Since he's been in business for 34 years, I'm guessing its the former. read more

Great company. Very professional and prompt. Fixed my plumbing problem in no time. Very affordable. Will only call them from now on.

Very professional group. Did quality work at a reasonable price. We had them come back to check on a leak that we thought they worked on. Turned out to be unrelated to the work they did but they corrected at no charge anyways. read more

When I woke up to find water all over the floor in my bathroom (the toilet was leaking water), I knew I needed help, but dreaded calling a plumber. I was worried about the cost, of course, but also about finding a company that was honest and fair. It's my only bathroom, so I did my research online and decided on Ganz Plumbing. They had great reviews and I also liked the fact that they are family owned and operated and have been in business since 1976. In South Florida, that means something! My first impression of the company was through Rose in the office, who was very professional and had a great personality. She told me that they could have a man out to me the following day. Allan came out the next afternoon and was also friendly, professional and efficient. He located the problem quickly and was able to fix it on the spot. I asked questions and he answered them happily, with no attitude issues at all or anything of that nature. No talking down to me because I'm female. He was absolutely great, with a sense of humor to match! Once he solved my toilet problem, he asked if there was anything else with the plumbing that I was concerned about. I had a spray nozzle on the sink in my kitchen that had been leaking whenever I turned the faucet on. All he did was look at it, remove the nozzle and screw it back on and it's been working fine ever since. No leaking. So, apparently, Allan performs magic, as well. Even better---the cost was much less than I had anticipated. Ganz Plumbing is, indeed, the fair and honest company that I was looking for. I've already recommended them to friends and family and I will use them from now on whenever I have a plumbing issue (not that I want one). Thank you Rose and Allan for taking care of me! read more
