I contacted Gimler Plumbing and inquired about repairing a Grohe Product. I was told the owner was the only one qualified to address this issue and he had a two week backlog. I accepted these terms unconditionally.. Two weeks later the owner arrived at my residence and immediately presented a condescending demeanor and would not listen to the details of my issue. It seemed he had one foot out the door before even assessing the issue . After performing a simple "cartridge" replacement he stated that there is something wrong and he did not provide any support or solutions. He indicated that a $150.00 service call would be charged and became argumentative and demanded immediate payment. When I asked him to leave he became aggressive and provided some choice words not suitable for publication. His threats did not intimidate me having served as a Federal Agent for 34 years but this should come as a warning to those of you contemplating services from this provider. I called Gimler Plumbing to unclog a drain. They came worked on it. Then they told me they can't go through the vent or take the toilet off. They left without fixing ANYTHING. And of course they charged me $480.00 without fixing anything, Then they said they will be out 4 days later and charge me more! There are so many better reputable plumbers out there read more

Wow. AVOID THESE PEOPLE. You would think that somebody who drives a commercial vehicle would know the rules of the road. I was biking down a quiet neighborhood street on the side of the road, as there was no bike lane. I was trying to stay close to the edge as to not inconvenience passing drivers. Then a Gimler Plumbing truck behind me honked at me. I stopped at the stop sign, and he pulled up right next to me, less than a foot from me, almost grazing me. He then told me to get out of the road as he was "not trying to run into oncoming traffic" (there were no cars on the whole street) and asked me if my mother ever told me to stay out of the road... LOL. I think it is safe to say that this employee has some problems. I would highly suggest staying far from this business. I walked in to the retail store after being recommended by a local hardware store. I needed a six inch extension for my shower arm. Gimler sold me a 6 inch shower arm and a coupler for $31.00. I carefully applied teflon tape, but water blew out both ends of the coupler. I took it to Lowes for advice and they said the threads mismatched. They sold me some teflon based thread sealer to use instead of the tape, no success. I found the perfect part online, that was shipped to me the next day via prime. It was a purpose built shower arm extension from Lux. 16.00 and it worked perfectly. I decided to just throw out the parts from Gimler rather than mask up again for their store. read more

They came in highly recommended but had a bad experience with them when the main water line of the house broke. Pros: - They tried hard to fix the problem the same day and worked late into the night Cons: - First estimate was for $1600 and tried to bill me $3200 - They chose the wrong path for new pipe and as a result it took them a lot longer to be able to dig the hole because they had to route it below a wall. - They did not flush the line correctly and I ended up with sand in all the pipes/faucet/fill valves of the house. They tried to blame the problem on the main house valve owned by the city and tried to avoid taking responsibility initially telling me I would have to replace the faucets myself. It became clear that it was their fault when we got tons of sand out from every single faucet and toilet. They finally agreed cleaned the pipes with a vacum and were able to get a lot of the sand out. One of the faucets was not fixed and they don't want to take responsibility for it. - They broke sprinkler system pipes when they dug Overall: They tried to help but rushed the job and avoided taking responsibility for mistakes they made. They even suggested get recurring jobs to fix the things they broke in the first place. read more

So after filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Gimler Plumbing is now trying to say there was no smoke at the time they left the job...well they left the job at 12:30 p.m. and smoke was filling the hallway of my condo by 1:15 p.m....they are trying to say it was debris behind the wall which caused the fire when I "watched" the plumber fold up a Crate and Barrel cardboard box and place it behind the wall...they are trying to say there wasn't any damage to the materials that they installed due to the fire.....kind of hard to damage toilets and faucets when the fire was a "smoke fire" which ruined all ceilings, walls, carpets, clothing, mattresses, sofas, etc....they are saying the company I hired was up to me.....in fact it was the company that Gimler sent to my condo that evening....they did all the repairs and submitted the estimate to Gimler for the cost of repairs....again, the company Gimler sent.....and you have to love their closing statement....accidents happen.... I agree accidents do happen, however, I should not have an outstanding invoice which is over and above what the insurance company would pay. I should not be responsible for the remaining monies due..... DO NOT USE GIMLER PLUMBING....unless of course you are willing to chance that you know "accidents happen" read more

Gimler has been around Deerfield Beach as long as I have and I got here in 85. They are pretty expensive. but with the expense comes a job done right. I could have shopped around to save 50 or 60 bucks but I couldn't be sure who ever I found would fix what needed to be fixed correctly and I wouldn't be spending money again a couple months down the road. Made appointment:Gimler Plumber calls and says he's on his way. I see him drive into complex and he sits in his truck for 15 minutes. Fixes my problem in 45 min, I even commented how fast he did the job. Paid the bill, only to see he charged me for 1.5 hours , total service charge $180, plus supplies. My fault for not reading bill before I paid and signed, but I still expect businesses to be fair. Never Again and I'm sure our whole complex will steer clear of them in the future! read more

By far the worst service people I have ever dealt with! The owner is horribly arrogant and does not care if his customers are satisfied or not. He put a sink in our house that didn't fit,which he ordered, and put it in crooked. When called on it he blamed the countertop. Now a year later, the sink FELL OUT! When I came home Tuesday I found a strange 3 inch deep puddle of water around the pipes to my sprinkler system. It was after business hours however Patrick from Gimler Plumbing returned my call. He was able to answer all of my concerns and we decided he would come to the house at 7:00 am the next morning. He was on time (even a bit early) and determined that it was not the sprinkler system itself but a break in the water line before the system. He got the supplies he needed for the repair and was finished shortly. His work was neat and efficient along with his pleasant and cheerful personality. Installed a valve wrong on my water heater and when we still didn't have hot water the plumber tells us we needed a new water heater. I get a second opinion and find that the water heater is fine, just lack of power (110 instead of 240) going to the tank. Good thing I didn't listen to Gimler and got a second opinion. When I spoke with the owner on the phone about a possible refund since the job was done wrong he started yelling about taking me to court. Very unnecessary and rude. If you need a plumber. The girls in the office need to take a class in customer service edict. The office "misplaced" a payment made for a backflow certification and our water was almost shut off. Melissa treated me as though it was my fault the office can't keep paid invoices organized. Next time she makes a comment to her co-worker about the customer who is on the phone she should put the customer on hold; eliminating further insult to injury.
