A couple of updates. First, I decided to call Sony directly, and they offered to replace the unit at no charge. Fantastic customer service right from the original call. Second, I received a call from Gamestop corporate today and they said they'd handle it, even offering to send out the replacement unit before I had an opportunity to package up and send the broken one. I have to admit, that as much as I am annoyed at my original contact with Gamestop (who doesn't understand the difference between a return and an exchange anyway?), the escalation of the issue and the additional effort of management warrant positive comment. I'll post when all is said and done, but it looks like they're turning the ship around, and that's all that matters in the end. read more

Had to wait 40 minutes to purchase a gift card- 40 minutes behind one teenager making decisions and canceling them and on and on and on! There was only 1 cashier and my son was going to a bday party so we had no choice but wait. Super disappointed! read more

I love this GameStop. Everyone who works here is awesome, I wanted to point out one particular individual though. Mike is usually the guy who helps me and he is super acknowledgeable on many different genres of games and always points me in the right direction. Secondly he's a great dude. A couple years back I fainted there because of dehydration, mike put me in a chair, got me some water and took care of me, so for that I will always be a customer. I went in last weekend on Easter Sunday and I meant todo the review then but got busy. Anyways I went in and Shawn helped me super cool and chill really helpful and patient with me very kind and funny. I got home unfortunately the disk wouldn't read I called and Layne helped me also super patient, calm and cool even over the phone he helped me troubleshoot my ps4 and it worked so thank you !!! Michael and Ben are always so informative and friendly! They are perfect models of great customer service. I've bought most the games I own from this location and I never fail to have a nice conversations with either of these gentlemen. A week or so ago I found out from an online source that GameStop stores would be having a very limited quantity of the limited edition Majora's Mask New 3DS XL on pre sale. Now 1-2 weeks prior to this announcements the limited edition Majora's Mask was released for preorder on many stores online but would sell out in 5-15 minutes after being released. So you could understand my excitement when I heard GameStop had limited quantities. Maybe this would be my chance to get my hands on one of them after trying so hard for days trying to get my hands on one! I rushed over to this location as fast as I could hoping there would be just 1 left for me. I came in and YES! Luckily for me I found out about this pre sale early and was one of the first few customers to have been able to preorder the system. Michael ordered the system for me and had rung me up. He congratulated me and everything and you know what, that congratulations made my whole freaking day. I got my system pre ordered perfect and guaranteed along with great customer service. First and last time i come here, came to return a scratched game I bought in another location earlier but came here because it's closer to me and i only had time to go to this one, but I forgot my wallet and only had the proof of purchase with my debit card number the printed paper had and my phone with my bank account statement showing the transaction that clearly shows i made the purchase. I thought common sense will prevail and they will look at my bank transactions that I visibly logged in in front of them and match the card number with the one on the receipt but no, common sense seemed to be out of stock here, that idiot named patrick wouldn't even bother to put two and two together to see that it was me that purchased this game. The most grating part was when he tried to give me the bs speech that it's against the law to sell to a minor under 17. Its mandatory jail time and job loss. Lol stfu , i understand the minor part but when a 30 year old shows you proof of purchase with another proof of purchase on top of that with his own bank account, maybe use your brain and piece it together DipS**t. Went in on a Friday night and it was incredibly crowded.... I had a broken controller and a controller the would not pair with my Xbox. They explained to me that I was pairing it wrong and were really nice and helpful and didn't make fun of me....at least not to my face! I only play one game and have no idea of game culture and was pleasantly surprised at the experience... read more

If I could give zero stars I would! I called about 3:45 and asked if they had a specific game and if we could do store pickup. Having issues with the website. He said sure I gave him my boyfriends GameStop account info and he said he'd hold. I told him he would be in after work between 4-4:30 to pick up. No problem. My BF texted me at 4:20 and said no game. I called him and he said he called when he got there. The guy answered and said he'd be right there to get the credit card info. He comes back like a minute later and says he's on lunch. My bf asked how long he would have to wait. He was told 20-30 min. He did t want to wait so he asked if they could hold it until tomorrow, he was told no. It's bullshit! Why not tell him the first time?! Or don't answer the phone, put a sign out or do something. This was our first experience at this specific location and it will definitely be the last! read more

Great store. I'm in here almost once a week. Strange how many negative reviews I'm seeing. I've had hundreds of transactions at this store, without problems. Once you realize that most of the transaction "script" and trade-in rates are universal to all GameStop stores (corporate mandates), how can you fault workers for doing their jobs, and doing them well? read more

This review is based on the EXTREME POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE I received from this place. What's really sad is it was for MY SON who wanted to come in check out games for his WII. We walked in the store and we we're the only ones in the store. The white girl and a bald headed black guy saw us walked in the store. They both completely ignored us, didn't say hello or welcome us. Then they kept the conversation between themselves. Me and my son walked around for at least 20 minutes. They both did they're absolute BEST to ignore us and didn't asked us if we needed any help. This was about 40 minutes from the store closing and I WOULD say they're just didn't want to put in any work anymore for the rest of the day. I mean if you're gonna be that LAZY you might as well just close the the damm door already. It's one thing for me to deal with this crap but for my 9 year old to experience that kind of LAZY WORK ETHIC FORM THE WORLD, YOU set a bad example. I told my son don't be LAZY like these people when and what ever job you may have in your life. I'll remember when I shop at ROSS, VONS or get food a chipotle to STAY the helll away from this place. they people that work there are so knowledgeable. i went there at x-mas and of course they tried to sell me the newest most expensive playstation, but thats their job. i went with a used p2 and i love the used game selection and the fact that you can return them within the week at no extra charge. and believe me, i have a lot. i've also sold them used games at a good price. the only part i didn't like was there always seems to be a huge gang of hoodlums in there playing free games and being loud as hell and blocking the door. read more

DO NOT BUY HERE!!! SHADY RETURN POLICY!! Husband bought a PS4 4 days ago, is was defective. When we walked in today to return it, the "stand in" manager tells us NO MONEY BACK! Exchange only. WHAT??? Anyone should be able to change their mind on an item in a reasonable amount of time. This was a "no brainer". PS4 was broken, give us our money back already. We don't want the headache with Gamestop and their lousy policies. Yeah I can call Sony too, but that whole headache just would make me regret even more EVER BUYING ANYTHING AT GAMESTOP!!! Once they get your money they will NEVER give it back, They'll happily give you more broken merchandise to deal with though NO PROBLEM ...they'll make your headache turn into a migraine after your done hassling with them.
