I would rate this place a bit higher if the smell wasn't so bad. The service is good and the staff is kind. Over all the staff is not as rude as many of the reviewers say they are. Had an all to common experience with game stops lately until the last store. Go online and their hours are listed arrive at the location and either they have changed hours or they closed early. Until last night the staff at this location actually stayed open until at least their closing hours. Me and my son were looking for a specific tittle for him. first store closed 20 min early and next store with the tittle was 15 min away we arrived 4 min to spare they were open and helpful great service and clean orderly store. I unfortunately have to give this GameStop 3 stars because of a game that never came. I talked with an employee who was able to track down a game I had been looking for for quite a while that was only at the Nellis AFB. The game was supposed to get shipped to the store via a transfer but somehow it went to Fashion Show instead. For a couple weeks I kept calling back and waiting for it to come in to that store but there were never any updates. Eventually I never heard back from the employee and just looked elsewhere for the game. A few months later I stopped in asking someone else whatever happened to this supposed game. This person took my number and told me a manager would call me back but no one ever did. The store itself is okay, but I can't recommend this place for a store-to-store transfer. Alright, if I could give zero stars I would lol, so I will copy and paste my Gamestop survey so everyone knows on yelp as well. "We weren't greeted at the door, nor did we get offered help. An employee at the register slammed a game down and started huffing and puffing once we approached the register when we were ready to checkout. I had a $5 coupon that I was saving to use later, and the employee decided to use that coupon and added on 3 GPG's without even asking us. The coupon cancelled out the cost of the GPG's and we didn't notice since the pad reflected the original amount. I understand that he has to hit his number goals, but at least ask us if we want to pay for additional protection. Also, next time ask for permission to use our coupons before applying them since we pay for the membership and save points for them. I won't be coming here again, I can clearly see they took me for an idiot for their own personal gain. Extremely poor service and even worse practices. Y'all owe me a damn coupon." I like this game stop. My bf comes here all the time and gets the hook up big time from Owen and Jason, so they are all good in my book! They even had the new 360's on time! Not like a ton of others....Kudos to you guys...you rock! Hopefully any mediocre experiences in the past will be just that...a thing of the past. I do agree with Taylor in that they have a good selection of games and accessories to select from and the trade-ins are a great thing now that the new 360's are out, people are going to want to upgrade w/ Kinect coming out, all of the new features, games etc. we are all going to need more storage and you will find decent-great deals on trade-ins. As to the toys...I did see some Prince of Persia when I was in there, and a few others to boot. Plus they always can pre-order stuff just like they have available for the aniversary or collectors. Tucked away in a side area of the Wal-Mart shopping plaza, this Game Stop is long and narrow when you first walk in. Everything was fairly organized on my visit, but it had a strange odor. I had done one of those online order-to-pickup things for a Christmas gift, so I knew exactly what I needed. There were two customers in line. I circled around the clearance area to make sure I didn't miss out on anything (side note: sad face for K2-SO magnets being on clearance only a couple weeks after Rogue One), and by the time I went back up to the register there was a line of six people. I decided to kill more time and saw another employee walk out of the back. "Is there anything I can help you with?" she asks. I said, "No, thank you" and figured she'd open up another register and it might be worth waiting in line at that point. Nope, she circles the store and goes straight into the back. With a line that long. Glad this isn't my usual Game Stop, so good luck everybody else. read more

I came for a PS5 release event and the store manager decided he would hand out the cards to people before opening and let them leave and return later to pick up at their convenience and let everyone in line who was standing out there and present at the time of opening receive nothing! read more

Gamestop (AKA Funcoland, EB Games, etc.) has been a nationwide game store chain for years. They certainly have no shortage of stores around the Vegas Valley, as well. This place is all about video games, so the associates are generally pretty knowledgeable about the subject. They are usually nice guys as well, so that's always a plus. Typically, any time I go in the store I am asked if I am looking for anything, and while I am usually not, they don't seem to have a problem with people just there to browse. Gamestop carries just accessories and games for pretty much every video game system from the Playstation 2 up to the modern age. They have a solid selection of used titles, so you can often get some bargains on that end. Likewise, the chain has a frequent buyer program where you can save money and gain extra money when doing a trade-in. What systems they carry games for, though, as far as slightly older ones go (PS2, Gamecube, original XBOX) tends to differ from store to store. I have one major complaint with Gamestop however - they severely downsized their on-hand merchandise in recent years. I used to be able to come in this place and get memorabilia/toys/etc., plus cheap movies people had traded in. Now it's pretty much games/systems/accessories only. I liked the way this chain thought outside the box, but now they're back to "just games." Likewise, there aren't a whole lot of bargains/savings on "new" merchandise (though this is typical of most stores that sell games.) If you have a Gamestop by you, they are definitely worth checking out, just don't go in expecting an out-of-this-world selection and prices. read more

The customer service and people are great here! It's nice to see a genuine helpful smile from behind the register. After I bought my game, I accidentally left my 3 day old iPhone 6 behind in the store. I went back a few hours later and my phone was safe and sound in the hands of the man behind the register. And to whoever found my phone on the floor and gave it to the staff, THANK YOU! So not only is the staff honest and helpful, so are the customers in the store. These people turned this horrifying experience into eye opening one. It's good to know there are still honest, good people out there. I will definitely be a repeat customer! read more

Seems like most reviews have it right. Terrible customer service with poor manners. They need to have a better understanding of store hours. When an establishment is open they have to service their customers. I went in to trade in my console and games and purchase the ps4 pro and they refused to service me because they were closing in 15 minutes. Are you serious? If an establishment closes at 9 and refuses to service customers before closing then they should close early. I have worked retail at an electronic store before if you come before closing you should be helped period. The half bald guy had a terrible attitude and started lying about the time frame it takes to reset a ps4. This place has lazy employees. read more

I wanted to sell my Xbox 360 to them and they wouldn't take it because I didn't have the controller that came with it......I sold that controller to them 3 days prior and offered to show he receipt.....shook his head and wouldn't accept it. Told me I could but the controller back and then sell it. They gave me $3 credit for the controller and told me I could buy it for $25. Are you kidding me. I went 2 times to this place and they're a bunch of rude nerds. I just wanted to trade it in to REINVEST IN ANOTHER GAME. So impolite and unhelpful. Seriously , don't work a customer service job if you don't know what customer service is. STAY away from this store. A friend of mine bought a "new" game from here thinking it was a pre-owned game. A little less than a week later, he went to return the game still thinking it was pre-owned when they told him that it was actually new and they would not refund the full amount. The reason why we thought it was pre-owned was cause it never came with shrink wrap. To me, a new game is one that has the shrink wrap over it. I don't care if the disc was never played, new is when there's shrink wrap over the case and no one but you and machine that placed it in the case handled the disc. People: Just buy and sell your used games online. read more

Just purchased a brand new x box one s with a new controller ans a few games total $450.00 - I have a 120" screen tv and have no idea how anyone can read the font on a smaller tv for the xbox- instead of going to a pawn shop or buying on craigslist to save hundreds of dollars I chose gameatop thinking customer service was going to be best-FALSE. I cannot read a single thing on this gaming system - the guy that helped me said Nothing about this - which if you look online thousands of other people saying the same thing-it gives me a horrible migraine- i called to see if i could exchange it for a ps4 and they told me they do no do returns or exchanges on new consoles-15 hours after original purchase- DO NOT BUY ANTHING FROM HERE EXCEPT USED VIDEO GAMES- the business model is designed to fuck you over. I spend alot of money on shit for my family but I wouldnt waste another dollar here or take a chance getting frustrated about making such a bad decision as in trusting this corporation. My brother lives in a separate apartment but since we came together, waiting in line for several hours, they would only sell us one. Unacceptable.
