I bought a used game for my kids birthday. I was out of town when it was delivered. When we finally could try it it was 5 days past the return deadline and the game would not work. They only give 7 days to return it. I contacted them to let them know I was out of town and could give them proof. They said sorry no. They could help me troubleshoot. I replied to say yes please help me troubleshoot and also asked if they test the games before they sell them and could I possibly get store credit or swap with a used game that works.They totally ignored that answer, didn't help troubleshoot and just said sorry we can't do anything. It was probably AI robot just responding. I spent $30 between the used disk and shipping for something that doesn't work. I will not buy from there again. At least on eBay you talk to a real person and they are helpful. read more

The corporate business has crossed the line. They do not stand behind their own terms & conditions printed on the receipts of the products they sell. I took an employee's recommendation & they told me that if I did not open the game & It stayed wrapped, It was returnable within 15 days. They did not stand behind those terms. I would never buy anything from a Game Stop or believe anything an employee says since they do not honor their own terms & conditions. Buyer beware. Never take recommendations. That little boy claimed to be Manager was also bragging how he became Manager by dodging people, adding warranty on games without their consent. I looked up the game price at PS market. So i knew how much the game would cost me. When I went to the counter he asked for about $10 more than the game price. On a $70 game, $10 tax! Surprising, right? I asked him to breakdown the price, and I found out he added the warranty. When I asked him that I don't want it, why would you add it on without asking me? This was once the best GameStop in my opinion but after they fired all of the good employees, they hired people who don't care about their job and don't know anything about gaming! They are just there to sell and get paid. The passion is gone. This stores phone line has been down for a whole month now... and they aren't even sure if they are doing a 9pm release for Call of duty: Modern Warfare because apparently they can't get in contact with the store manager. Lol if you find this review before the release of COD, Goodluck getting it at the same time everyone else does. This is the only GameStop in this district that is absolutely clueless on what to do when it comes to working. After some bad experiences with gamestop employees in the past, this place is an oasis of professionalism. The customer service was excellent as those working behind the register gave me tips about upcoming games to purchase. As each customer would enter through their doors staff made sure to greet them and exchange pleasantries. I ended up getting two games and will continue to frequent this gamestop and only THIS particular gamestop. read more

It's really sad to see my local GameStop go to such a poor excuse for a store. I have been going to Walsh chapel GameStop for 13 years. This year has just been a headache after headache with this store. I used to be excited to go to midnight releases or just to pop in and look around. The team before did an impeccable job of being knowledgeable and friendly. A lot of the time they would just make small talk with customers or make harmless jokes that everyone can laugh about. It actually felt they enjoyed their job and serving the regulars that came in. Every time I come in now, I get greeted by angry tones and rolling eyes. No sense of customer service at all and just seem like they want to push you out of the door as soon as you come in. There have been times where the store will open late and there will be people outside waiting. (including UPS workers). I don't do store reviews and I will probably won't do one every again. I honestly hope that a manager reads this and gets the store back to where it was before. I absolutely love Gamestop and I love waugh Chaple. But honestly, I would rather dive 15 miles the other direction to pick up a game then going down the street. read more

The trade in values are WAY too low for games that I bought for $40+ from the store, the store buys them from you for like $3 and then turns around and sells it to some kid for at least $20. My mom came in to sell my iphone about a week or two ago and they quoted her $180. I told her to let me see if I could get it elsewhere for more. I came back today to just sell it to get it off my hands and they told me $75, I told them my mom was quoted $180 and she just didn't come up with that price off the top of her head. She even described the person who helped her named Will and the current employee text him and he said he didn't "personally remember her." I told him that's not fair because she was quoted something and they weren't honoring that and all he said was "there's not much more I can do." There is one employee who is male with a forearm sleeve tattoo. He never greets me when I walk in the store and makes me feel unwelcome. The store often smells funny and some of the other employees come off as socially awkward too. Worst GameStop I have ever experienced read more

Mostly good Gamestop. Would be 5 stars, but I got there 30 minutes before close one night and the employees had locked the doors. They weren't cleaning up shop or anything, they were just playing games. When I called they said they had "closed early because it was slow." From my understanding this practice is not allowed at Gamestop, and it was just a case of lazy employees abusing the fact that there was no real manager around. Other than that one experience it has always been a cool Gamestop, although they seem a bit understaffed during their busiest hours. read more

Ive been going to this Gamestop for my whole life. The staff there is always very helpful when it comes to knowledge of games and consoles. They always are very friendly and welcoming. The only issue I have with this store, (it actually has nothing to with the actual store or location, thats why I still gave the actual store a 5 star rating), is the amount of you get from your trade ins. You could buy a game and open it and return it 10 minutes later and only get about 75% of the original value. Again, this has nothing to do with the store or staff. I would say this is one of the best Gamestops I've been to in the Anne Arundel county and the surrounding areas. read more

This store is AWESOME!!! Everyone is great!!! I recently had an issue trying to purchase a game online for a Christmas present for my son. My wife and I looked all over the internet to find the best price on the game we wanted to buy. GameSop had the best price. We reserved it and were emailed saying not to pick it up at the store until we got an email. We got the email the next day and I went to the store to pick it up. They told me that that had been a sale just for the previous day. I explained what had happened and the manager gave me sale price even though it was over. I live in Bowie but always go to this location because they are fantastic, have a bigger store, and have more inventory than the Bowie store. Keep up the great work guys and I'll keep spending my hard earned money on our video game addiction. = ) read more
