As I am looking through all the games and trying to find ones that I have on my wishlist that I have pulled up on my phone I was suddenly asked "do you plan on making money off of me?" I was shocked that a store owner actually assumed I was looking for games just to turn around and sell them for a higher price. I kind of shrugged the comment off just thinking this guy is a total asshole. After awhile I had found some games I wanted to buy, I gave him the games to hold on to as I continued to shop. One of the games I handed him to purchase had a price sticker of $20 on it. I wasn't aware of how much it was worth but he came back and said "I double check the price of each game I sell and this one is worth $50 so I'm changing the price to $50 because I see your on Pricecharting.com checking the prices as well." (Pricecharting.com is a website that tells you what the average price of a game is worth.) I asked him "so every game in your store that has a price tag on it is not the accurate price since you change prices at the time of checkout." He answered YES. I mentioned his policy is just wrong and he was an ass and walked out without buying anything. I will never step foot in this store again. Sad thing is I've been going to this store every time I come up to Manitowoc, WI. and have found good stuff and spent a good amount of money at his store purchasing games for my collection but never again. After years of shopping here, I stopped shopping here because of the incredibly anti-social and destructive behaviors I witnessed. While the selection of games, paints, cards, and toys is wide, there is no reason to subject one's self to the abuses of the staff, and there is no need for anyone to support such intolerable behavior. This has not always been the case here, but the quality of interaction with the staff has diminished drastically these last five years. Don't shop here; don't give them your money.

Two of my pops were damaged in the process of this wonderful woman handling them. My husband actually had asked her to stop doing it but she kept going for another minute? That's nice. Considering she didn't buy them before messing with them. She offered me $33 in store credit or $19 cash. HA. Laughable. GameStop would pay more lol. So I gather my pops and such but, she had two hidden behind her computer. I had to tell her to give them to me. Not sure if it was accidental or intentional at this point. Came from out of town, about 2 hours of driving, to visit the game stores in the area. We found a…read moreconsole we were looking for and bought it. Before leaving the area we tested the system and found it worked maybe 10% of the time. We called to ask about the refund policy, which they mentioned only worked for defective products. When we got there he tested it and of course when he plugged it in he got it to work first try. We didn't want to run the chance of getting home and getting stuck with a system that just wouldn't work so we asked again if we could still get a refund. Of course we were denied. We got home later that day and it hasn't worked since. It's been about 4 days of constant tests and trial and errors but it just won't cooperate. Only choice we have now to get maybe half our money back is to sell it for parts. Minus the extra things we bought in an attempt to get it working of course. Waste of 4 hours of driving and $200 + dollars. We don't live across country by any means but where we're from it isn't as big of a hassle to return something. It wasn't like we were trying to scam anybody or being bratty. But that's how they made us sound when we were trying to tell them what was going on. Now we're just frustrated and that we made the purchase but there's no help for it. Not coming back.

The staff are helpful and the selection can be great, depending on the amount of used copes coming into the store. When there are a group of college guys, two kids, and their parents there, it gets stuffy. I've walked in and immediately out several times for this reason. Parking is plenty as it's in a plaza. They also give discounts to the college students with ID. I like that they are more than a gaming store, they can also fix broken iPhone screens. They also hold gaming tournaments on the weekend.
