Really nice ambience in this place, love the 80s retro music, very fitting. I picked up several Atari 2600 games and have an Atari 2600 console system on order. Advice to the owner, raise your prices! Quite frankly I expected to pay a lot more than I did for those 2600 games 1981 Atari, Inc. Thanks for the great deal, and good luck with the business.

Came from out of town, about 2 hours of driving, to visit the game stores in the area. We found a…read moreconsole we were looking for and bought it. Before leaving the area we tested the system and found it worked maybe 10% of the time. We called to ask about the refund policy, which they mentioned only worked for defective products. When we got there he tested it and of course when he plugged it in he got it to work first try. We didn't want to run the chance of getting home and getting stuck with a system that just wouldn't work so we asked again if we could still get a refund. Of course we were denied. We got home later that day and it hasn't worked since. It's been about 4 days of constant tests and trial and errors but it just won't cooperate. Only choice we have now to get maybe half our money back is to sell it for parts. Minus the extra things we bought in an attempt to get it working of course. Waste of 4 hours of driving and $200 + dollars. We don't live across country by any means but where we're from it isn't as big of a hassle to return something. It wasn't like we were trying to scam anybody or being bratty. But that's how they made us sound when we were trying to tell them what was going on. Now we're just frustrated and that we made the purchase but there's no help for it. Not coming back.

I brought in a collection after being told they pay 80% of value. During the appraisal, several cards were misquoted--PSA 10 listed as a 9 value, holos marked as non-holo, near mint cards priced as played. I caught these errors, and while they were corrected, I felt concerned for a less attentive customer or kid that trusts their local card store to have the necessary know-how to accurately price cards and gets undercut. When I was given a final offer, I accepted under the impression it reflected 80% of their own stated value. I later did the math and saw it was actually 72%. I messaged the owner, who said he "wasn't sure what happened" but offered $20 to make it right. When I asked for the full difference, the response turned curt--he emphasized the deal was done and he'd prefer not to renegotiate. I appreciated being able to pick up any cards they didn't want to purchase at 80% (which turned out to be over half the accepted cards), but even then, I was passive-aggressively reminded that I'd "already accepted a deal." Both owners came off as dismissive and deflective, which made the whole thing feel less like a misunderstanding and more like a tactic. Writing this disappoints me. I bought cards on my first visit and wanted to support the shop long-term. But the experience was too awkward, and I won't be returning.

Magic, Pokémon, X-Wing, Warhammer 40K (which is always 20% off retail), and a wide selection of popular board games. It's also great for dice, sleeves, deck boxes, and miniatures foam and cases. Magic singles are another hot item. The gaming area is awesome. Plenty of tables are up for card games, board games, etc... There's also still plenty of room for miniature gaming tables. I think there are at least 3 always set up. Tournaments/events are run regularly and professionally. The 40K tournaments embrace all aspects of the game, which I especially like. The owner is awesome. If you happen to be in a game and it's getting close to store close he has no problem waiting until the game is finished up. He is knowledgable in every game system he sells. He isn't pushy when it comes to sales either. I live in an area where our local store closed down. Oshkosh is about 45 minutes away for me but I never regret making the trip!

When a recording as unknown as The Art Bears "Winter Songs" comes available, I know I'm not going to find it in the Exclusive Company. Hell, I'm not going to find it most anywhere in the United States. Scarce recordings are, unfortunately,, best found online. It's just the nature of today's market. But... I have found some great stuff here, and for a much better price than I would find online. That alone makes it worth it for my twice monthly jaunt to The Exclusive Company. I found Captain Beefheart's "Trout Mask Replica", for example, or Zappa and the Mother's "Just Another Band From LA". I'm a big Lou Reed fan and found "Berlin" and other recordings there. My point is that it's fun to browse around and find stuff at this brick and mortar store. It's great that they've remained in business when so many similar stores have closed their doors. And this is the best way to support your local scene and buy their recordings at a local store like this (yes I know it's a regional chain... but you get my point)... Go there, enjoy the wares! One other thing, why did Beefheart call it "Trout Mask Replica" ? That ain't no trout I've ever seen....

After rudly being told to leave I went into the store in an attempt to help my friend sell his materials. He then proceeded to tell me they were my friends and I had to get out. After further discussion he proceeded to accuse me of "going around and stealing records" in order to pay for a drug addiction. I have never stolen a record in my life! Being falsely accused like this is not how you handle proper business!

They are mainly a comic book shop but they also have lots of collectibles, books, graphic novels, t-shirts, some costumes, and other geeky knickknacks. It is a fairly large shop for being in downtown Oshkosh. The prices are what you would expect at a local comic book shop. They also currently have an amazing collection of Pops for sale but that wont be up for long. The staff is also very knowledgeable and friendly. They take part in Free Comic Book day every May. If you are looking for a place to get comic books and collectibles you should make it House of Heroes.

I poked around on Yelp and found Eroding Winds, so we ventured out to see if it was a thing. The Yelp presence in the area can be hit or miss. There are places listed on Yelp that don't exist, and lots of places not listed at all. Sure, we could pick up the phone and try calling to see if someplace exists, and while that can be hit or miss as well, we're the kind of people who are fine with the journey, even if the destination turns out to be a bust. Eroding Winds was indeed open on a Saturday, and we ended up buying 7-10 used albums. They had a wide selection of new and used albums, and on the floor were also collections of discount albums, even as low as $2. The cheaper records might not be in pristine shape, which makes sense, but for $2, we were willing to gamble on some! They also signed us up for some sort of loyalty program where you get an average of the amount you've spent back on a future purchase. We'll be back.

Mostly rock/pop and metal, with some smaller but healthy hip hop, jazz, and country sections. We found a couple great soundtracks here too. There are some CDs and cassettes as well and their merch is pretty sick. Staff were great as well and threw some free stickers into our order. Great place!
