We were obviously always going to check out this store, but what really drew us in was the ginormous (and handmade!! we came to find out) Detective Pikachu that was sitting in the window display! The owner was so kind and knowledgeable, giving us space to explore, but also inserting himself at the perfect moments to offer us some context on items we were looking at! You could really tell how passionate he is about his shop and there's nothing more I love in seeing in a small business! We chatted about that handmade Detective Pikachu, the adorable art on the walls featuring his own dog, and so much more! He was so considerate and just everything you want to see in a small business owner! The back half of this store is set up with tables for people to gather and play games, DND, what have you, and there was a group back there actively playing when we were in the store! Came from out of town, about 2 hours of driving, to visit the game stores in the area. We found a…read moreconsole we were looking for and bought it. Before leaving the area we tested the system and found it worked maybe 10% of the time. We called to ask about the refund policy, which they mentioned only worked for defective products. When we got there he tested it and of course when he plugged it in he got it to work first try. We didn't want to run the chance of getting home and getting stuck with a system that just wouldn't work so we asked again if we could still get a refund. Of course we were denied. We got home later that day and it hasn't worked since. It's been about 4 days of constant tests and trial and errors but it just won't cooperate. Only choice we have now to get maybe half our money back is to sell it for parts. Minus the extra things we bought in an attempt to get it working of course. Waste of 4 hours of driving and $200 + dollars. We don't live across country by any means but where we're from it isn't as big of a hassle to return something. It wasn't like we were trying to scam anybody or being bratty. But that's how they made us sound when we were trying to tell them what was going on. Now we're just frustrated and that we made the purchase but there's no help for it. Not coming back.
