We were in town for the night on our way up to Door county and went for a walk in their really nice downtown area. It was late and most everything was closed, but this place looked so cool we came back the next morning. I am so glad we did, what an amazing place, to call it just a store is not giving it its proper due. This is the coolest collectable/toy store I have ever seen. It will be a regular stop when we are anywhere near here. It's part museum and part collector's wet dream. Rows and rows and pegs of figures of every era and genre. I could have spent a lot of money here, and to that the prices are pretty reasonable. If you know anyone who's into pop culture or toys or action figures...wanna be a hero, take them here. We decided to visit some Halloween attractions in the region so we spent a night in Sheboygan and checked out some of the more interesting stores, and even though we didn't make a purchase (this time) I haven't been in a collectible toy store with more selection maybe ever. Freaktoyz is an absolute gem in Sheboygan featuring near everything the average person could think of in the toy, collectible gaming, and retro-video game worlds. If you are looking for that elusive figure for He-man, TMNT, GI Joe, Pokemon, pick your winner, this could very well be your place. I could have wandered this store for hours and easily emptied my wallet. Worth the stop even just to experience the place, and they definitely have their merch game down. As far as prices go, you may want to shop around the web a little, but most seem to be right around average collectible prices and even if it is a dollar or two more you get to walk out with it in hand. I love stopping that Freaktoyz when I have to go anywhere near Sheboygan. It's a throwback to my childhood with all of the retro toys and video games that they carry. They've also got a nice selection of used movies. Prices are usually reasonable (old video game consoles, though, are often on the high end) and the people working are friendly. I highly recommend it, especially if you're a '80s or '90s kid. read more

If you are looking for an action figure from any conceivable franchise and nearly any decade, this is the place. They had Simpsons stuff from the 90s, old Star Wars, Masters of the Universe, Care Bears, and on and on and on. This is a place to visit like a toy museum of sorts. My husband says that prices aren't a steal but they are reasonable. And if you married a nerd, you can take him here to really turn on the romance. A random job found me whisked away from Los Angeles to Sheboygan. I can't knock the town as it isn't their busy season right now and yeah I'm a biG city kid and proud of it. Freaktoyz not only makes me feel at home in its own weird wonderful way, but absolutely filled with nostalgia of my childhood. Their selection of toys--and I mean IMPOSSIBLE to find stuff if you're a sci-fi/fantasy/and 89s-90s lover--it's incredible. I'm not a collector now, but saw things that I would've died to have when I was young. If you are one, do yourself a great favor and fly/drive/walk/hovercraft your way here asap. It was their video game and console offerings that made my mouth water. As many old school and new generation games as you could imagine, along with ample accessories for all. I'm coming back to scrounge some N64 gear and a copy of Goldeneye. As if the store itself wereGreat enough, the employees couldn't be kinder or more helpful. It's the kind of place you want to hang out in until closing. This is another place that I have to visit when my girlfriend and I wander our way downtown. Freaktoyz is jam packed full of wares. From anime and manga, to action figures and comics, to dolls and video games and DVDS, you can get lost in the sheer volume of stuff found here. Usually, we leave with a few movies because they're typically like $3 each, and that's a great deal. My only complaint has to do with the cramped-ness. If there's more than a few people in the store, it gets incredibly claustrophobic and unpleasant to try and move around people and navigate the narrow aisles. But, that said, I really like it here. It's worth checking out, especially if you're a collector or a gamer. read more

Totally awesome, like my late 70s early 80s childhood revisited. Located on the main shopping stretch of downtown Sheboygan this little place is a destination if you love: comic books, video games, vintage action figures and the movies from where the action figures are from. My kids got to see some of the toys that kids played with some 30+ years ago. I got to see just how much they are worth today. And my X-Men #145 that is among the bestest comic books ever that I saved is $8, a 16x over its face value of 50 cents back in the day. I spent much of my time looking at the vintage Marvel comic books, from Avengers to Moon Knight, Dazzler, and Defenders. Really cool place to visit. You will not be disappointed. read more

So I lost my love for Freak Toys in Sheboygan County today and I will continue to share on every platform I can because it bothered me so much that a owner that mind you was walking around barefooted and eating while touching coke tables was to have been the one person that rebirthed used toys to Sheboygan is nothing but sellout to the collection community. Not only did he loose his knowledge of collectibles he also lost the meaning of the hoppy. When just asked by me if a damaged item that was priced extremely high from 20 years ago was his final price. The response I received was interesting. We are not talking about a 4 dollar comic. He stated with such sarcasm and with scripted response that this is a store! You don't go into Walmart and ask for lower prices or trades. How dare I do this. Oh and asking a young adult about product he would except a trade if I provided a holy grail of an item listed at $300. $220 more than what I was looking at. All I am saying is I was a customer when all you products were in wood bins and in plastic bags! You would talk to people and learn what they liked. Now you are just buying left over product in bulk and selling it to us small time Sheboyganers! You will run out of customers some day. This older generation person with money will not be returning. I will do what I can to help the new Falls collectible location grow in the area market. As a lifelong video game collector, I was blown away at the organization, availability and very reasonable pricing. While I was only able peruse their selection for around 20 minutes (in town with the family on vacation from Chicago), I immediately found two titles that I bought for my collection. Where to start... so first the owners are kind and are a funny married couple running a small successful business. They have a tv that is always playing something. They have thousands of comics all in alphabetical order. Also, they are all listed in the series that each comic is from. They have entire books of different series of comics and just have almost any series of comic that was ever sold. Next, I'd like to talk about LEGOS. Yes the childhood toy. They have a cabinet filled with minifigures from top to bottom . They usually have at least one prebuilt set and many more packaged. Also, need an action figure , we'll pick from any of the hundreds there. Marvel, DC, Star Wars, and even more nostalgic and new figures are there. But, don't forget about the games. SEGA, NINTENDO, and PLAYSTATION. You name it, they most likely have it. Lastly, the prices. You can get things for really cheap. Last time I was there (today) I saw a NINTENDO 3DS for only $110.00, which is a good deal if you ask me and you can find gameboy games for at least $3.00 dollars but most are $5.00, which really puts Freaktoyz at my number one store for nerdy things at low price. So, that's why Freaktoyz is an awesome place to stop by to. Even if you're just visiting Sheboygan, it's still a fun place to go. Freaktoyz is so much of a awesome and radical place that you could call it a nerd sanctuary. read more

I stopped in there two days ago (March 20). It was my second time in the store and I had gone back to pick up some comics that were getting hot on eBay and I had seen the week before at a decent price tag. I snagged the books, browsed for about a half hour and picked up another few comics, and then went to the counter. One of the comics that I had picked up that were the same title as the others was priced differently due to being in much poorer condition. The woman at the counter thought this was odd, and then proceeded to look up, on eBay nonetheless, the title and current going rate for each comic. She and the manager ended up increasing the price of the damaged comic because of how much the comics were selling on eBay. First and foremost, I believe it's a law that a price tag be honored at the register. Second, it's not my job as a customer to help you find hot books. If you can't keep tabs on the market and price your titles accordingly, then you're not doing your job as a store. Had the price been increased on any of the other comics, I would have walked out. I'm still wondering why I paid what I paid, considering the damage on the book itself. I've never had that happen before at ANY comic store I've ever gone to, and I won't be back at this one. It is unfortunate when a shop charges you eBay prices because they failed to do their own homework. read more

This is the bestest greatest most fantabulous store I have ever been to! Toys, comics, video games, & movies. I actually rate it at 4.5, The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is cause it's so small and cramped and no public bathroom, but I can deal with that for all the treasures inside. I could easily spend hours in that place, and I have. Seriously I should just give them my wallet. Really nice people there too. I really like this store. It's the kind of place where you feel like you can find a lost treasure if you take the time to dig through the selection. That's not to say the store is disorganized. But it is extremely cramped. On a busy day, it can be irritating to compete with just three or four other customers in the store, because there's no room to squeeze past them in the aisles. But it's worth it because the selection is pretty good, and the prices are fair-to-good. read more

My family discovered this store a year ago. We are big comic book fans and my two boys are always up for a toy store. This store offered both to go with warm, down-to-earth service. My boys found ninja turtle figures that I used to play with as a kid. They even had retro video games that are hard to find anywhere. All of this was available at a very reasonable price.
