Freaktoyz is an absolute gem in Sheboygan featuring near everything the average person could think of in the toy, collectible gaming, and retro-video game worlds. If you are looking for that elusive figure for He-man, TMNT, GI Joe, Pokemon, pick your winner, this could very well be your place. I could have wandered this store for hours and easily emptied my wallet. Worth the stop even just to experience the place, and they definitely have their merch game down. As far as prices go, you may want to shop around the web a little, but most seem to be right around average collectible prices and even if it is a dollar or two more you get to walk out with it in hand. I have been to this store many times, always had a positive experience until today. I walked in and…read morewas greeted by the typical "can I help you find something?" I said no just looking. As I am looking through all the games and trying to find ones that I have on my wishlist that I have pulled up on my phone I was suddenly asked "do you plan on making money off of me?" I was shocked that a store owner actually assumed I was looking for games just to turn around and sell them for a higher price. I kind of shrugged the comment off just thinking this guy is a total asshole. After awhile I had found some games I wanted to buy, I gave him the games to hold on to as I continued to shop. One of the games I handed him to purchase had a price sticker of $20 on it. I wasn't aware of how much it was worth but he came back and said "I double check the price of each game I sell and this one is worth $50 so I'm changing the price to $50 because I see your on Pricecharting.com checking the prices as well." (Pricecharting.com is a website that tells you what the average price of a game is worth.) I asked him "so every game in your store that has a price tag on it is not the accurate price since you change prices at the time of checkout." He answered YES. I mentioned his policy is just wrong and he was an ass and walked out without buying anything. I will never step foot in this store again. Sad thing is I've been going to this store every time I come up to Manitowoc, WI. and have found good stuff and spent a good amount of money at his store purchasing games for my collection but never again. Being asked if I was there to "make money off of him", assuming I was a reseller and randomly changing prices on inventory while checking out is not a place I would like to visit and support ever again, so he can take his STOCKPILE of GAMES and shove it up his greedy ass.

Unlike the old gas station they were using in Belgium, the new location looks like an actual retail store. They have a nice selection of retro games and some current gen games, both with fair pricing. Like the old location, there's a section for novelty items and retro toys/action figures.

I get the convenience, but it sort of cheapens or sterilizes the experience. It loses something when you can't see tickets pour out. Speaking of tickets- the prizes are SERIOUSLY lacking. I didn't really care about playing anything, because there was nothing to redeem that I actually wanted. There is a little build your own stuffed animal thing that's pretty cool though. I think this is good if you have wee kids, but older ones and adults will be bored.
