Some North middle school parents accidentally parked in Broadway Hobbies parking lot (which is right next door to the North school parking lot). The parking lot was almost completely empty - except for the few poor souls headed to North who mistakenly parked there. Within 30 minutes, the property owner had called to have the cars towed and at least five tow cars were there towing poor parents' cars. What a jerk! Way to ruin the afternoon of neighborhood families that made an innocent mistake.

They do have singles for One Piece, Lorcana, Pokemon, and Magic which is nice cause it's usually the last two I see. The employees had no idea what I was talking about and asked me where I had heard that there was a launch that day. I responded that other local game stores were selling the product and that the publisher had noted that that was the release day for local game stores. After confirming that this set had in fact been released, they then told me that they would not be selling product until two days later at their launch event. On the day of the launch event, I arrived to find out that the employees did not even know if there was a launch event happening or know where the product was at all, or if they could even sell it. After determining that there would be an event that day they still were not sure if they would be able to sell it to us or with the price would be and chose a price that was higher than other product from the same trading card game. This was all after calling ahead to confirm these things and then traveling over an hour and a half to the store since there are not many local game stores where I live. Overall, when asking questions it felt like I was bothering the employees and that it was my fault that they didn't know the answers to my questions and it was an inconvenience that we had even asked. This is in sharp contrast to other local game stores in the area who will always look to find the answer to a question if they don't know the answer. Past experiences at Geek Fortress have been a little unorganized, but nothing like the most recent one. I will not be coming back.

Not much was available and a lot of empty space on the shelves for this hobby, but we did find some cardstock and card sets. A couple employees we spoke with were friendly and knew the store. My wife also loved shopping at Torrid. She's happy to have her favorite store close to home. Inside the mall we were practically the only people on a Monday afternoon. The mall was clean and some of the businesses seemed to be closed. After reading the other reviews, it seems like the mall is going to have a big change and redesign! I'm excited for what's to come and to see the big changes in the next year or so. Must be why some of the store locations are vacant. They are getting ready for the construction. My wife loves all the changes on the outside of the mall and loves the movie theater, Ulta, Home Goods, Chic Fil A, Trader Joe's, and others. The Staff suggested I send a Facebook message listing the titles I really wanted and they would try and set aside copies, and they did both years. I traded in a short box of comics for store credit. Realized of course that they couldn't give me retail value before doing it, but still got more than I was expecting. The amount of titles they stock from large, small and medium publishers alike is impressive. They have fulfilled several special orders I've requested.
