A really cool comic store that also has manga, artbooks, figures, and other nerdy goodies! The store is a lot bigger than it seems too. The place is brightly lit and the layout is nice and organized with plenty of space to move. They also label any new products which I appreciate. The prices seem pretty fair too. The employees here are friendly and helpful with all the customers. We didn't get anything this time around as we were going to the store next door, but we'll definitely keep this on the radar when we're in the area. read more

Large, and, more importantly, very comprehensive selection of comics and related collectibles, well organized into a fairly small space. They have the mainstream staples, indie/fringe books, tons (and I do mean tons) of back issues and an impressive selection of highly collectible issues at or below standard prices. In other words, they know what comic collectors are looking for. Many comic shops in the past couple years seem to be trying to be toy stores, but not Subspace. They have a reasonable, and actually fairly wide, selection of other pop culture merchandise, but the focus remains squarely on comics and graphic novels (about which the owners are almost scarily knowledgeable.) If you're anything more than a very casual collector in the area, this is the place to go. read more

An underappreciated comic store nestled in a corner space. I was able to find another addition to a difficult to complete collection. I would rate this store being a head above Phantom Zone at the nearby mall since they carry ttrpg and other supplies that Phantom Zone doesn't. read more

Love this place. Tons of stuff to look at even if you are not a comic book fan. They have tons of the Pop figures and other comic related stuff. The comic and graphic novel selection are fairly large as well. I know its a comic book store and not a game store but I do wish they would carry a little more in the games section. This is the only part of the store that is lacking. read more

I walked into Subspace Comics about three years ago knowing a little bit about Batman from what I'd seen in movies and cartoons growing up but wanting to know more. Amy and Brian were quick to tell me where to start down the rabbit hole. I got hooked instantly. They're extremely knowledgeable and offer fantastic guidance/recommendations for both those who are new and those who are veterans to the world of comics. They offers a subscription box service for a small fee and will order items for you if they don't have them in stock. It's been fantastic when I don't always have the time to go through the shelves to pick my issues out. As my "box list" has grown, they've learned my tastes and interests enough that I don't always have to tell them I want something - it just shows up in my box, ready for me to read. I've found several new stories to get lost in because they've put the time and attention into personalizing their service to me. If you're into blind box figures, they usually have one opened and out for trading if you don't get the one you were hoping for (which I've definitely taken advantage of a few times!) They're also well informed with respects to local events (such as comic artist appearances, conventions, etc) and even host a few of their own from time to time, including a monthly book club which I have yet to take part in. To put it frankly - there's a reason I keep coming back for more. Subspace is a clean, friendly, welcoming place and I would highly recommend them! read more

Ventured in this little shop on a Saturday. I was nearby and spotted it from the parking lot, so I couldn't resist checking it out. The shop was organized nicely and clean. Also it smelled great, if you love the smell of comics like I do! There's a lot to look at including comics, action figures, t-shirts, plush and more! I seen lots of unique items I've never seen before. If you're a Marvel, Mario, Aliens fan, or just love action and adventure. Definitely check this place out. Take your time to take everything in. Horribly rude female owner. Got treated like assholes today and were gonna spend $500. Used to LOOOOVE this place. Pretty shocked how we were treated this evening. Stood at register while the "owner" ignored us allowed a weird guy just rambling to keep talking. May i add this dude didnt buy a single item. After 8 minutes of listening to this idiot talk nonsense (we had places to go and knew what we wanted) my wife spoke up and asked to see a couple items, the owner then snapped at my wife, in shock we decided to leave. The owner then used VERY unprofessional language and was just plain rude. Again, i LOVED THIS PLACE and we spend at least $300-500 monthly. Got taxes back and were about to spend at least $500. VERY DISSAPOINTED. Will never shop there again which sucks. Unless offered a SINCERE APOLOGY. read more

For over a decade, Subspace Comics was my comic book store. It truly felt like home. The only reason I don't shop there anymore is that I moved out of the area. I was fortunate to get to know owner Brian. He was always ready to talk comics, make excellent recommendations, and just talk geek stuff. Visiting this comic shop is always a weekly treat to myself. They have an excellent selection of products across the board, be it comics (new, old & variants), graphic novels, action figures, statues, accessories and collector supplies. The folks that run this shop are friendly and well-informed about the industry. I usually keep an eye out for announcements about upcoming releases of comics & statues. So when I see something I absolutely have to have, I email the store and submit a request. Within a day, Amy or Brian reply to advise the item has been ordered. On one occasion, a statue I ordered was damaged while being shipped to the shop. They quickly & professionally handled the situation and made things right. All of the employees are top notch, very helpful and are willing to help in any way to get the items you want. I really can't recommend them enough. Despite a review here from a rude customer who thought the 1 person working should drop everything and ring up 2 items (while verbally assaulting the employee), this store is amazing. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable about pop culture, comics, movies, gaming, and more. I go in biweekly to pick up my stash, which is always in mint condition, and chat about upcoming books, movies, etc. It's the personal touch of dealing with each customer, regardless of how much money they plan on spending, that makes this a great store. And if you're from out of town, it's next to restaurants, a movie theater, has lots of free parking, and is easy access from the freeway. read more

I have been going to this store for a few years now and recently they changed owners. I must admit I was concerned when I heard my favorite shop was changing. That worry was all for nothing. Subspace is an amazing comic shop that offers much more than just comic books. They sell cards (not sports related), clothing, board games and various other thing you never knew you needed. Their comic book selection is fantastic. They always have the issues I want and are very knowledgable when it comes to recommendations. Their selection of trade paper backs (collections of comic books) is ridiculous. They have so many options. Whether you want the classics or something new I bet you will find it there and if they don't have it they will do everything they can to carry it in their store. They also offer a great subscription service (they hold your books for you) so if you can't make it there every week you don't have to worry about them selling out of your favorite title. I have even seen them packaging items to send to their loyal customers in other states! The store is very clean, open and well organized. The staff is super friendly and always willing to take about their favorite books and more. I wouldn't have found some of my favorite titles without their help. I cannot recommend them enough.
