Ilan is super nice and always gives me the best recommendations. When I went in today, he was super friendly and helped me find all the comics I was looking for and a few more I didn't know I needed. Today he recommended this Wonder Woman comic to me with beautiful art and I've been loving it so far. The first time I visited Mighty Moose, I was looking for Shadow Service published by Vault Comics. I was travelling shortly, but Ilan found all the issues for me and held them until two months later when I returned. I really appreciated him going above and beyond to get me the comics I wanted. When I went in today, Ilan was working on a video of some super vintage comics for social media and it was really cool to see them up close. Yes their cards can sometimes be overpriced (I collect Pokemon cards), but sometimes there are great deals! Ilan sold me his entire stock of leftover Halloween Pokemon cards early last year for super cheap and I gave them out to my nieces and nephews who adored them! read more

Great value at this store. The magic cards and figurines are priced well, the store is well organized and the owner is super nice. He takes time to talk with each customer and is happy to order out of stock items. My family always stops by and makes a purchase when we're in the area. read more

I went to Mighty Moose Comics for the first time yesterday and loved it! I'm just getting back into comics. When Ilan (the owner) asked if he could help me find anything, I told him I'm just getting back into comics, what I was looking for (and not looking for). He listened and came up with a ton of great suggestions for (updated) old favorites and new things to try. I really like what I bought based on his suggestions, so I'll be back for sure to check out more titles. I don't think I would have found half of these (perfect for me) books unless I'd had Ilan and Mighty Moose's help! read more

It has been stated before in these reviews, but super overpriced in the cards department. They sold us japanese booster boxes for almost twice the market price. I even showed them tcgplayers value and they didn't care. Have not bought japense boosters before so thought that I maybe was looking at a set with less cards but nope, it was indeed the same set just twice the price. Both my partner and I got super ripped off. Thankfully I pulled a really rare card to offset the price but I would reccomend not buying their super inflated pokemon cards. The mangers at the store have always been friendly so I am sad to see that they are ripping people off so bad. read more

Tidy, great selection and friendly staff. But oh boy, the owner Elon has to work a few things out. Upcharging new releases, 3x cover price just because he sleeved them? "Forgot" about my Absolute Batman preorder and ghosted me twice when he said he would call. Ice cream on top, he acts standoffish and borderline hostile when I came into the store when I didn't fall for his predatory upselling. Made myself and his employee uncomfortable. Why come into this store to pay scalper prices AND have a chance at not getting it at all? It's extremely unfortunate because this is the closest comic store to me and it's still 25 minutes away. I came in today looking for Spider punk, Taskforce Z, and Ben Reilly's spider man. IIan the owner was super cool! Great guy who was helpful. I'm definitely coming back to grab a storage box there. Mighty moose is the best comic store ever! The guy that works there is really nice and helpful, and will often help you find stuff. Often I go there to pick up tpb's and omnibus's so that I buy it from the retail price because you can't be too sure on the price of the single issues. Most of the time their prices are accurate on their individual issues but one time I bought a scarlet witch #1 9.8 graded for $90 and the average sales price for that issue is $75 so just double check when you buy something expensive. But I would 100% reccomend them, it's my favorite store ever. And I know I already said it but the owner is THE nicest guy ever, he always offers great service and is just really cool in general. read more

Paid for a box of cards $279 and found it in a vending machine for $149. I was happy cards collecting came back bc I felt sorry for the card/comic shop but forget that. I think its a great comic book store with a good selection with really nice employees who definitely read a lot of comics. Bit small but very packed with new comics. If they don't have it, they can special order it. They prefer cash on small orders due to credit card fees, which I get. read more

Nice store that has a variety of comic books and non sport collector cards like Pokémon. They have cheaper comic books for kids and adults alike along with collector comic books for those who are more ardent collectors. Overall a nice place to peruse comics in the mall. read more

It's cool to have a comic book store right in the mall. The selections aren't vast and it's a bit crampy to get around but always fun to grab a comic. We picked up fantastic four. My first time there and I can tell the owner prefers cash for my $11 purchase. He was pretty dry with me. Didn't even take the time to bag it for me. Probably won't go back in there unless my son is really wanting to go in there as we pass by. Which will prob happen! read more

I love this place! Very cool staff that always remembers my name and the books I like. I have gotten some great recommendations and feel valued as a customer. The owner tries to get books that I missed out on (and ask for) and always takes the time to answer questions or help me find stuff. As one of the few remaining actual comic book stores I love having a chance to physically go into a store and chat with a highly knowledgeable staff. Don't waste your time here. I have tried giving this store a chance many times and it's a fairly close store to my home location. But this is ridiculous. Four times now I have been let down by the owner of Mighty moose comics and his policies. Twice now in the morning I arrive early to be there at opening and wait around until 10:30 a.m. before I left while the store was still unopened. One night I came in hoping to catch him before they closed at 8 p.m. on a Friday and they were closed 30 minutes early. Then the day after that I decided to come in and try to check out some Comics that most of the other shops have sold out of and found that they have a new policy. No sales on a card under $10. H uh?? Apparently the card charges they were receiving were too high. Now this I can understand as I have worked in this industry before and the charges can be ludicrous but if that's the case then maybe it's time to change the system instead of forcing the customers to only spend a large amount. What's more is that the store doesn't really seem to have an atmosphere of caring about the actual Comics themselves. Most of the time when I go in there I feel very lucky if I do find something that doesn't have cracks and breaks in the spine or the cover. This is also a store that doesn't seem to want to purchase anything from diamonds that they don't consider a good sell. So if you want something that's not the most popular you won't find it here. All in all I just have to say that this store exists. That's about it. Nothing really special about it. Also they don't really seem to care about the product. 10:35 am right now and I'm done waiting for them to open. Leaving. read more

It really is a shame that the site has deemed some of the reviews for this store as "unreliable". MMC has earned every great review it's received, and more. I feel I more than most can give an objective and informed review, since I spent all of 2015 Free Comic Book Day driving to every comic store in King County that I could. By a wide margin, Mighty Moose is the cleanest, most organized, and user-accessible comic store in the county (of the 10 or so that I've patronized.) Having been open for about a month as of the time of this review, I'm highly impressed with the way that the store has been organized. Each major publisher has its own section for both single-issue and trade paperback. However, the best part of this store for me is that all new issues appear on the back wall. It's always irritating wandering through a comic shop and trying to sort through every series they have for the "new this week" labels. Not an issue at MMC, where everything brand new is all neatly filed and even categorized, all at one place. Great location as well, just minutes from the 405-90 interchange. read more

I love this store. First, the store has a nice selection. Anything that isn't in stock, the owner will order (if possible). I've seen newer and older selections alike, and you can sign up for a subscription service. Everything was categorized nicely to make things easy to find. Oh! And there are also some super cool ROCKY HORROR Funko Pop! Vinyl toys and other goodies on the shelves right now... Second, the atmosphere is great. It's warm, friendly, and bright. The owner, Ilan, makes you feel right at home. The store has the feeling of a fun, laid-back, genuine establishment, rather than of a run-down basement/garage like some other comic shops. Great comic book shop. Got bored at a pre wedding dinner at old country buffet so I decided to wander around the mall and found this so I decided I would take a look inside. I personally prefer image comics to buy and own, so I was taking a look at those and the owner had read every single one I pulled out to ask him about. He was super helpful and gave me great advice on everything, I eventually picked out manifest destiny volumes 1 and 2 which I greatly enjoyed! Great store would definitely visit again. read more

The female staff member who assisted me was very nice and helpful. The owner was rude and lacked any real comic book knowledge as it pertains to their monetary value. I offered to sell him many books in a lot and he said those books are worthless and "no one cares." I had just been telling a friend how unfair it was that the east side only has one comic book shop (at Crossroads), while it seems like there are three on a single street in the U District. And then I stumbled on this place while at the mall for lunch. This is much closer to where I live, and the guy running the place seemed friendly and eager to help. He said they've only been there seven weeks, but those are seven weeks I could have been walking to get my comics fix instead of driving to Crossroads. I'll definitely start coming here from now on. I was excited to visit this small comic book store but was totally disappointed in the visit. We picked some items and went to pay. The sales person told me there was an extra charge to use credit, so I offered a $50. She then told me she didn't have change for the $50. I should have walked away! Instead, I paid for the items with my card. However, my son didn't like them. We tried to return them and were told all we can get is an in store credit. This was not written on the receipt. I did see when I came back that it was posted that they have the right to choose whether to give a refund or not. I have no intentions of ever coming back to this store. read more

This store has great variety, is easy to browse through, and is clean and well lit. Best of all, the owner is super friendly, knowledgable, and very helpful in looking for new stuff for people of all ages and interests. I have been there for Free Comic Book day this year and last, and a few other times in between to actually purchase things. Every time I go I leave feeling more cheery and inspired to read more comics. Gotta try out that free subscription service next, to force me out more often. This small shop was a great find for me. Came in the early morning and was greeted by the shop owner who was very helpful in getting what I requested. They have all kinds of comics, toy figures and supplies such as BCW long boxes, bags and boards. I would definitely recommend this shop. read more
