They do have singles for One Piece, Lorcana, Pokemon, and Magic which is nice cause it's usually the last two I see. The employees had no idea what I was talking about and asked me where I had heard that there was a launch that day. I responded that other local game stores were selling the product and that the publisher had noted that that was the release day for local game stores. After confirming that this set had in fact been released, they then told me that they would not be selling product until two days later at their launch event. On the day of the launch event, I arrived to find out that the employees did not even know if there was a launch event happening or know where the product was at all, or if they could even sell it. After determining that there would be an event that day they still were not sure if they would be able to sell it to us or with the price would be and chose a price that was higher than other product from the same trading card game. This was all after calling ahead to confirm these things and then traveling over an hour and a half to the store since there are not many local game stores where I live. Overall, when asking questions it felt like I was bothering the employees and that it was my fault that they didn't know the answers to my questions and it was an inconvenience that we had even asked. This is in sharp contrast to other local game stores in the area who will always look to find the answer to a question if they don't know the answer. Past experiences at Geek Fortress have been a little unorganized, but nothing like the most recent one. I will not be coming back.

The first time I visited Mighty Moose, I was looking for Shadow Service published by Vault Comics. I was travelling shortly, but Ilan found all the issues for me and held them until two months later when I returned. I really appreciated him going above and beyond to get me the comics I wanted. When I went in today, Ilan was working on a video of some super vintage comics for social media and it was really cool to see them up close. Yes their cards can sometimes be overpriced (I collect Pokemon cards), but sometimes there are great deals! Ilan sold me his entire stock of leftover Halloween Pokemon cards early last year for super cheap and I gave them out to my nieces and nephews who adored them!

Admittedly I call the business and they are willing to sort it out if I come back to the store, however I live up North and swung by to check them out since I was in the area. John was cool and gave me the mini tour of the comic store. If there was something you were looking for. He was nice enough to show you the general area where to look. In the back room they had tables and tables of cheap dollar boxes. Tons of comic book goodness to look through at a great price. It took me a few minutes but I found some great comics to buy. These guys have a wonderful shop that is clean and well organize. I come in every week now and know right where to look for what I want. They go the extra mile, they know what I like and make cool suggestions. Russ has sold me a lot of full runs, including Spider-Man and Conan to name a couple. They have a HUGE selection of affordable comics! They have everything from artwork to bundles, to graphic novels and books. I am so grateful to have met Russ and John as I started out my comic collection after a 30 year break. There's guys are great people and I highly advise you to get a monthly box (includes discount on everything) and come down to see the shop and talk comics.
