Handmade with Love is a combination gift shop and also an arts-and-crafts class facility. They offer all sorts of classes for reasonable prices to make fun things! Last month my wife took the crochet class with her sister to learn some basics of crotchet. But while there, she saw the "Make a glass and bead windchime" class so signed us both up. Today was the class - and I have to say it was a lot of fun! They provide all the "parts and pieces and tools to do the job" and seemed really well prepared for us. We each made our own windchime ($35 or so each - very reasonable). The instructions were simple to follow, with lots of assistance on anything that wasn't clear. I was the only guy in the room, but it was a lot of fun - I helped some of the ladies use the crimp tools to crimp the nylon line used in the windchime's construction. Loved the results - it was a fun time spent - really nice folks. Anne ended up buying another kit to take home. If you like doing crafting things, just stop in and see what's on the schedule for upcoming events - and of course they also have "pre-made" items for sale as well for home or gifts. Just because things are collectible or vintage doesn't mean the prices are unreasonable. I've bought my kids some of the same toys I played with when I was a kid, new in box or loose and played with at a price that I didn't mind that they ripped into the packages and started playing with them. Also the video games... Atari, NES, SNES, Sega, all the way to current games like Wii and XBox 360. They've even got all the accessories for the old systems like replacement cables and controls. The store is a great trip down memory lane and a friendly place too.
