The sign on the door says 25% off everything. I go in and spend a half hour picking out my paddle and went to the counter to check out. Then I'm told the sale doesn't start for two more days. I asked if they would honor the 25% off and they said no. Awful customer service. read more

From the outside, the store looks small, but it's very deep and they have a lot of inventory. The staff are super knowledgeable and helpful. We were looking for a new tennis racket for our daughter and Sebastian suggested we demo three rackets, six rackets overall, but this helped her realise what she was looking for. David even repaired her existing racket, which we thought wasn't useable. Really excellent service is what sets Game Set Match apart from the competition. Prices are competitive to the internet, but you cannot get that kind of support in choosing a racket online, which is key! Update: We finally purchased our racket. Sam helped us this time, he measured our daughter's grip and helped us choose strings with the correct tension for her new Head Boom Pro. The entire staff is top notch! Highly recommend! read more

The service was excellent helping us find our specific 26 inch racquet. Also they offered to place a new grip which was so kind. The selection was great. We had looked at other stores for the size recommended, general sporting stores but only Game Set Match carries this size youth racquet. Thank you! read more

I stopped by Game Set Match yesterday, Saturday, April 27th to drop off my tennis racquet for stringing. I told Diego as a joke that I would be back in an hour to pick it up. He said he could actually do it in an hour!!! I was using these strings for the first time, and I had a match the next morning. Wow!! That was unexpected, but greatly appreciated. read more

Great shop and lots of expert help with gear. I recommend them for all things racket related. They were super nice about helping my student with expedited restringing during his season. Thanks south Denver! read more

I had such a phenomenal experience with this store! I live in the mountains and have had a hand me down tennis racket for ages. I got really into playing last summer. I needed a tennis racket that fits me. I can't demo because I live 2.5 hours away. With some vague descriptions of how I play, and what I like about my old racquet, they got me into a new Babolat and also helped restring the old racquet. I was in and out in record time. I also LOVE my new tennis racquet and it's changed my game. It couldn't be more perfect. HUGE THANK YOU!!!! read more

This store is terribly run, and I recommend to stay away from it. I purchased a machine there a few years back, and started having issues with it. After repeated phone calls to the store asking for assistance, the staff member (who was noticeably high) directed me to someone named Clayton. He ignored phone calls and emails. I even went to the store twice, looking for help. The first time, I was assured that someone would contact me. After no luck, I returned again in a week, with the same assurance that I would get a phone call. I finally gave up, and received help from a different store. I would stay away from this outfit, very poor. Updated Review-01/08/2025- I wanted to follow up on this review. I wrote it while angry about lack of communication. However, I just received a call from Clayton to explain that there was a missed email and calls. He took responsibility, was very professional and nice, and even left me his personal number. Mistakes happen, and I was very impressed that he would take the time to do that. He didn't need to. That is all I needed was a response, and I am sure we will both learn and do better in the future. I will plan on visiting the store if I need more help with the machine. read more

I started playing pickleball in May this year. A friend at the club recommended this place. Their rent-to-buy program is the best! I demoed one racket and was able to use the accumulated credits to purchase the exact one. There was a mistake when the brand was out of stock I got a wrong racket. The staff, Jen and Sam, worked creatively and was able to offer a great deal on the same one I demoed. I really enjoyed their friendliness and convenience of the services. Will definitely come back! read more

This store has everything you need! I was in a couple of weeks ago, and the staff is so helpful! Noel answered several questions I had about stringing rackets and was super helpful. They also have the best variety of tennis shoes and are super helpful with the different type of court shoe. read more

This store does great work. Took 4 racquets to have my strings and grips replaced and they completed it and was able to pick up before the end of the day. Thanks again GSM! read more

They let me go through the entire ordering process, got my credit card info, address, email, everything and only THEN told me the product was out of stock. Waste of time and apparently just a way to collect my information. read more

Jen was so helpful and amazing as we looked for shoes & bags. Answered all of our questions & was so patient and helpful.

I first went to their store more than 15 years ago to buy tennis gear. Back then, everything went smoothly. I returned a month ago for the first time since my tennis days as pickleball is my latest passion. I'm happy to say that with regard to their great service, nothing has changed. Tanner and Jeret helped me choose a paddle that is best suited for my needs. Both of them are knowledgeable, courteous, laid back and fun to do business with. Plus this store has a great policy. You can rent a paddle/racquet for $5 for three days to see if you like it. And I think you can rent as many as you want. And if you buy any paddle/racquet within 60 days of the rentals, the total rental fees are deducted from the price. Now that is how to do business. read more

Fantastic customer service - these folks know and LOVE tennis. And pickleball. If you love the sport, it's critical to support local businesses like Game Set Match! Online retailers will never match the real knowledge and service you get from a local retailer. I watched an employee take 10 minutes to work with a woman to find the perfect racquet and string for her game and arm issues. Try getting that from tennis blabbitty blah . com! They also support the local tennis community by sponsoring the Denver City Open at Denver Tennis Club, and other tournaments. Five stars! Support this business! Locations in Denver and now Boulder, as well. Got these great shoes from them today - most comfortable shoes ever, love em! read more

I was not happy with this store's return policy. I purchased sneakers on 10/16/2023 and after one day of use one of the lace grommets broke. I returned the sneakers to the store within the "Full Refund within 10 days" policy time frame printed on the receipt. I was refused a refund or exchange because I had "worn them." The other option that I was offered was that I could "pay Game, Set, Match" money to have the sneakers returned to the manufacturer for evaluation. No thanks! read more

It had been quite a while since I'd purchased a new racquet and I wasn't sure what would be best for me. There was a fantastic selection at Game-Set-Match and Jen was friendly, patient and helpful! She explained the differences among the racquets I was interested in and made sure I was considering options that would be a good fit for me and my game. I ended up leaving with a racquet I'm confident I'll be happy with. Thanks, Jen & Game-Set-Match! read more

I have had numerous awesome experiences at GSM Denver thanks to Lauren, who graciously helped me with racquet demo's, shoes, and various tennis inquiries. Lauren is a rock star: Kind, fun, competent, and professional. She exemplifies the friendly culture that Manager Chrysie has developed and nurtured. Kudos to the GSM Denver team. Thank you, GSM, for serving our tennis community with solid professionals such as Lauren, Chrysie, and their teammates. Cheers to their greatness. read more

Great customer service!! I've been searching for a couple of months for a specific K-SWISS shoe online. Stopped by GSM at U-Hills to pick up some tennis balls and Jen found the shoe! They didn't have my size so Jen checked the inventory from all the other stores, found one pair in my size, called the store and had them set aside. She offered to have the shoes shipped to the U-Hills store but I was so excited that I just drove over to the other store and picked them up. Rarely do I find someone so eager, willing and happy to help like she did. Jen's the best! read more

Game-Set-Match - Sporting Goods Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Jen,  thank you for the great customer service and knowledge of the equipment.  You made it very easy for me to purchase a Christmas tennis racket for my son.  I really like how you can test out a racket before you buy it, and the rental fees are rolled over into the purchase of your new racket.  You have definitely made this a great Christmas for my son.   There are not a lot of great employees like you.  Again, thank you, Jen.    P.S. Thank you to all the other employees who help in this purchase too.  All the staff at the Denver location were very helpful in our purchase.    Clint read more

No matter my question, GSM's Jen Armstrong has great advice. Today, I wanted my racquet restrung for the changing weather. (Temperatures are dropping tonight and I have a team drill in the morning.) Jen looked up my preferences and made a suggestion that I know I can trust. Even though the store was closing in less than 2 hours, she made sure the racquet would be ready in short order. I trust GSM staff for all my tennis purchases, from shoes, racquets, to strings, and more. If you're not sure what will work best for your needs on the court, I recommend asking GSM staff for suggestions. So helpful! read more

Awesome store with exceptional staff! Chrissy was more than accommodating the minute I walked in the store. As she was in the middle of stringing a racket she was able to qualify me and make some solid recommendations even after being out of tennis for awhile. Knocked it out of the park. All the staff in the store are friendly and personable. If you are having any doubts and considering blind purchasing rackets online please give Game Set Match a try first. Good demo program and incentives. Thanks again Chrissy! read more

My friend and I came in over the weekend to take advantage of their Labor Day sale. I took my friend there cause I had bought a pickleball paddle there before and she wanted one as well. There was really no scenario where we would have left without making some kind of purchase. Unfortunately we were met with a very rude person at the checkout counter. She spoke to us with a very condescending tone and told us we weren't allowed to purchase what we wanted because it was a demo only paddle, despite being told something different by a floor associate. Totally respect that you can't buy a demo paddle but her response was frankly a little shocking. She literally scoffed at us, walked away while we were mid sentence, then when we apologized for the mix up and explained what happened she told us we were wrong even though she wasn't part of that original conversation. Basically she acted like we had told her that 2+2=22; it's not hard to tell when someone is treating you like a Grade A dunce. Sometimes people have bad days I get it, but the vitriol we were met with seemed inexcusable. Two stars cause my first visit went fine but we left on Sunday without having made a purchase and no plans on returning. Hopefully this review helps their business in the long run cause it has a nice selection of items. read more

I had a very positive experience seeking advice for a new racquet recently. I came back several times for different models and the last time an employee named Jack helped me. He had a lot of helpful information on the models and we landed on a Head racquet. I liked how well he knew the various nuances of the racquets and how he listened to what I was looking for. The new racquet has really helped my game. Thanks Jack and GSM! read more

I just made my 2nd successful tennis equipment purchase from Game-Set-Match and am completely satisfied. Their website is super easy to navigate especially for someone who did not grow up in the tech generation. Their on-line tennis equipment inventory is extensive. In simpler terms, I easily found everything I was looking for. Their payment and shipping process was flawless without any hitches. I have over 50 years tennis buying experience behind me, and based upon how easy Game-Set-Match makes tennis shopping, I plan to use them for all my future tennis equipment needs. read more

What's with the low star rating? This place is fabulous! I saw the Labor Day ads on TV and since I was heading to Denver and needed a few things, I stopped in. The guy at the register, although busy, didn't make me stand there like some do when they are busy. You know, the kind that ignore you and pretend you are invisible. I questioned him about strings and grips and he gave more more and better info than I found on the internet after reading for hours on end. I decided on some new strings and a new grip. Typically, turn around time is 24 hours. Wanna know how cool they were? After telling them I wasn't passing that way again, they did it while I shopped! The stringer man was friendly and super informative, sharing more information on strings and grips, which are equally important as which racket one plays with. Got some clothes at 60% off, which was an added bonus. I had a great experience here. 10 stars if I could. read more

Recently got a racket restrung here and they went "over over under" instead of "over under over" on half my racket. How do they finish a string job without checking for sloppy errors like that? read more

We had a great experience shopping at Game-set-match. The staff was super helpful and patient. We went in to buy new tennis shoes for my husband and I as well as our two kids. Best tennis shop in the Denver metro. It our family's go to place for all our tennis needs! read more

Brought a racquet back that had just been strung by the same store. On the first game the strings broke. They refused to re-string the racquet saying that was just bad luck-not bad stringing. Terrible customer service by the manager. Lost my family's business for good. I suspect the owner would have handled it differently. J.M. read more

I called game-set-match because I saw online that they carried a tennis bag I was looking for. I live in miami, Florida and every store near me was out of stock. I called the store and spoke with Chrysie who was so kind.. she checked her stock, told me all the colors she had, took my information, quoted me a price to ship it and then had her shipping manager call me to confirm that it was indeed shipped, and sent me tracking information. Best customer service and best experience ordering a tennis bag from her. Thank you so much!! read more

I went in for a demo racquet which I was told the day before to be available. For some reason, this racquet was not in the demo inventory when I showed up. The staff was very apologetic and strung up a new racquet within 15 min while I waited so that I was able to demo this racquet for the next day. Great service with short turn around time on stringing!! read more

I've always had good experiences shopping here - which I have been doing for the past ten years at least. Staff is always helpful with all my questions even though they do a brisk business. I've bought off their internet site and in person and always had good service. Just bought two racquets and had them re-gripped and re-strung and though I usually string my own, I had them do it this time and I may just keep letting them do it. You can tell the difference when they are done well. read more

I came in here after my boyfriend and I had our racquets stolen. Once we walked in we felt out of place because the prices were a little high for our budget and we did not have much knowledge of tennis racquets. However, Brooklyn quickly came over to us and ended up helping us for a good 45 minutes. She was incredibly knowledgable and welcoming, even to beginner players like us. She guided us through the different racquets that fit our budget and taught us all about the different style of racquets and string. After playing with our new racquets for the last couple of days I can say I am thoroughly impressed. The racquet and string have significantly improved my game and with all the new knowledge I have I feel much more confident in my game. This store is incredible and so was Brooklyn. I cannot wait to go back to this store and get some more gear! read more

I have been to this store 3 times over the course of about 3 years. First 2 visits were to the previous location (colorado/alameda). The one constant is unfriendly, rude staff. I consider people in denver to be generally friendly, so its strange to me that this is the case. One may conclude that management is somehow the cause. Incidentally tennis-warehouse.com has the same prices and great customer service. read more

I purchased a pair of expensive Nike shoes for my son, 3 weeks later they had holes in the toe area when we've had past shoes always last a year.
