From the outside, the store looks small, but it's very deep and they have a lot of inventory. The staff are super knowledgeable and helpful. We were looking for a new tennis racket for our daughter and Sebastian suggested we demo three rackets, six rackets overall, but this helped her realise what she was looking for. David even repaired her existing racket, which we thought wasn't useable. Really excellent service is what sets Game Set Match apart from the competition. Prices are competitive to the internet, but you cannot get that kind of support in choosing a racket online, which is key! Update: We finally purchased our racket. Sam helped us this time, he measured our daughter's grip and helped us choose strings with the correct tension for her new Head Boom Pro. The entire staff is top notch! Highly recommend! read more

I had such a phenomenal experience with this store! I live in the mountains and have had a hand me down tennis racket for ages. I got really into playing last summer. I needed a tennis racket that fits me. I can't demo because I live 2.5 hours away. With some vague descriptions of how I play, and what I like about my old racquet, they got me into a new Babolat and also helped restring the old racquet. I was in and out in record time. This store is terribly run, and I recommend to stay away from it. I purchased a machine there a few years back, and started having issues with it. After repeated phone calls to the store asking for assistance, the staff member (who was noticeably high) directed me to someone named Clayton. He ignored phone calls and emails. I even went to the store twice, looking for help. The first time, I was assured that someone would contact me. After no luck, I returned again in a week, with the same assurance that I would get a phone call. I finally gave up, and received help from a different store. I would stay away from this outfit, very poor. Updated Review-01/08/2025- I wanted to follow up on this review. I wrote it while angry about lack of communication. However, I just received a call from Clayton to explain that there was a missed email and calls. He took responsibility, was very professional and nice, and even left me his personal number. Mistakes happen, and I was very impressed that he would take the time to do that. He didn't need to. That is all I needed was a response, and I am sure we will both learn and do better in the future. I started playing pickleball in May this year. A friend at the club recommended this place. Their rent-to-buy program is the best! I demoed one racket and was able to use the accumulated credits to purchase the exact one. There was a mistake when the brand was out of stock I got a wrong racket. The staff, Jen and Sam, worked creatively and was able to offer a great deal on the same one I demoed. I really enjoyed their friendliness and convenience of the services. I first went to their store more than 15 years ago to buy tennis gear. Back then, everything went smoothly. I returned a month ago for the first time since my tennis days as pickleball is my latest passion. I'm happy to say that with regard to their great service, nothing has changed. Tanner and Jeret helped me choose a paddle that is best suited for my needs. Both of them are knowledgeable, courteous, laid back and fun to do business with. Plus this store has a great policy. You can rent a paddle/racquet for $5 for three days to see if you like it. And I think you can rent as many as you want. And if you buy any paddle/racquet within 60 days of the rentals, the total rental fees are deducted from the price. Now that is how to do business. read more

I was not happy with this store's return policy. I purchased sneakers on 10/16/2023 and after one day of use one of the lace grommets broke. I returned the sneakers to the store within the "Full Refund within 10 days" policy time frame printed on the receipt. I was refused a refund or exchange because I had "worn them." The other option that I was offered was that I could "pay Game, Set, Match" money to have the sneakers returned to the manufacturer for evaluation. No thanks! read more

Great customer service!! I've been searching for a couple of months for a specific K-SWISS shoe online. Stopped by GSM at U-Hills to pick up some tennis balls and Jen found the shoe! They didn't have my size so Jen checked the inventory from all the other stores, found one pair in my size, called the store and had them set aside. She offered to have the shoes shipped to the U-Hills store but I was so excited that I just drove over to the other store and picked them up. My friend and I came in over the weekend to take advantage of their Labor Day sale. I took my friend there cause I had bought a pickleball paddle there before and she wanted one as well. There was really no scenario where we would have left without making some kind of purchase. Unfortunately we were met with a very rude person at the checkout counter. She spoke to us with a very condescending tone and told us we weren't allowed to purchase what we wanted because it was a demo only paddle, despite being told something different by a floor associate. Totally respect that you can't buy a demo paddle but her response was frankly a little shocking. She literally scoffed at us, walked away while we were mid sentence, then when we apologized for the mix up and explained what happened she told us we were wrong even though she wasn't part of that original conversation. Basically she acted like we had told her that 2+2=22; it's not hard to tell when someone is treating you like a Grade A dunce. Sometimes people have bad days I get it, but the vitriol we were met with seemed inexcusable. Two stars cause my first visit went fine but we left on Sunday without having made a purchase and no plans on returning. Hopefully this review helps their business in the long run cause it has a nice selection of items. read more

What's with the low star rating? This place is fabulous! I saw the Labor Day ads on TV and since I was heading to Denver and needed a few things, I stopped in. The guy at the register, although busy, didn't make me stand there like some do when they are busy. You know, the kind that ignore you and pretend you are invisible. I questioned him about strings and grips and he gave more more and better info than I found on the internet after reading for hours on end. I decided on some new strings and a new grip. Typically, turn around time is 24 hours. Wanna know how cool they were? After telling them I wasn't passing that way again, they did it while I shopped! The stringer man was friendly and super informative, sharing more information on strings and grips, which are equally important as which racket one plays with. Just bought two racquets and had them re-gripped and re-strung and though I usually string my own, I had them do it this time and I may just keep letting them do it. I came in here after my boyfriend and I had our racquets stolen. Once we walked in we felt out of place because the prices were a little high for our budget and we did not have much knowledge of tennis racquets. I have been to this store 3 times over the course of about 3 years. First 2 visits were to the previous location (colorado/alameda). The one constant is unfriendly, rude staff.
