Game Over Video Games is great! Their staff is always helpful and friendly, and they carry some of my favorite games I played growing up in the 90s! OK, so I thought that that one visit may have been a fluke. Low and behold one of the games i bought was defective and wouldn't read in my system at all. I was also a little worried b/c it was past the 14 day return policy stated on the receipt. That said, I just got super wrapped up in one of the games i bought and never checked the rest of them. I was prepared to be shunned by bringing a couple other games with me in the event they wouldn't return it. I came in and explained to the employee my predicament and he checked it out and sure enough it didn't play/work at all. He was super cool about it and gave me a same item exchange. Usually good for buying; just painful if you're selling. $0.25 for games deemed uncool; $1 for games that are. Doesn't stop them from charging $10 for the same game they paid $1 for. Total downer. read more

Great selection and service! The staff (particularly the manager, Davide) is friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. It's one of my sons' true "happy places," and we always feel welcome to come and browse, even if that's all we're there to do. Between Game Over and the Half-Price Books and the comic book store within walking distance, it's a young kid's paradise. I've never sold games there, but to buy, I *highly* recommend you get on GO's email mailing list. GO has periodic sales with steep discounts on various sections of its inventory. Yay for refurbished PSPs and games. My daughter needs to take better care of her stuff but at least it isn't painful to replace these things. Game Over is a good place to save money when your kid doesn't have to have the latest and greatest in games. My daughter loves the NBA, NFL, and MLB games which we found there at a significant savings. read more

I had a great experience here with Markis! I came in to trade my PS3 system and games. Not only did I get a fair price, Markis gave me all the options that competitors may give and beat them. Last week was my first time going to Game Over and Justin and David were awesome to work with. I was there almost 2 hours with both of them giving me advice about how I should try and get my NES working until finally we decided I should replace the 72 pin connector. It made a huge difference and I was able to play Super Mario and Bubble Bobble all night. I highly recommend Game Over for any video game needs especially for the classics. They know their stuff even if David is a fan of Italian soccer! read more

This is a great place to go if you love older video games! They also have lots of other things as well such as action figures, t-shirts, video game soundtracks, DVD's (The Wizard, War Games) All kinds of things. The people that work there are good folks who really know gaming and remember playing most of these games as a kid. One thing is they only sell used games and the inventory is all based on trade-ins and stock from other stores. So don't expect that new release to be there on launch date! read more

Went in there just looking around, but what stood out was the employee we worked with! My daughter saw the Super Smash Bros playing on the TV. He got her setup to play walked her through on how to play. Then kept setting up the next match for her. Service like this will keep me coming back! read more

Based on selling stand view: I just had the worst Customer service experience here. I gathered some random xbox 360 accessories(wireless adapter,keyboard for controller other cables, a few games) a random DS game and random Sega Genesis game, I didn't care about this stuff I needed to get rid of it. I also threw in Digimon Rumble Arena 2 for gamecube which is on eBay now for $40-$75. As I walked up to the counter (without being greeted), I stood there for a few moments. There was a guy helping someone out, and I notice a woman with greyish pink hair slouched in the back sitting doing nothing awkwardly staring so I ask her for her assistance. She had THE WORST ENERGY, and walked over and with the most smug pompous attitude in silence she went through the stuff and she offered me $4 in store credit, and when I took back the digimon game she offered me $1 in cash. Now I came in here to get rid of stuff that was just sitting around, not in need of cash so I didn't really care as long as they took it. I even considered shopping around, but I expected at least $5 in store credit for the other items, and something more than 25cents for the Digimon game. I understand that they may have a ton of similar items on their shelves, but it was the way this situation was handled. As i walked up to the counter to get the dollar, I asked her for her name. I was shocked when she said (again with the worst tone and energy) : "I'm CRYSTAL.. and I'm the store manager." It's unfathomable that the store manager of a GameOver store would treat a game loving money spending game trading loyal customer this way. All the while this happened FF7 Aerith's theme song was playing. It was so depressing in the store. Probably going to stick to the Anderson Lane location. read more

I went in to sell some old games as I am moving and they are just taking up space. I walked in at 6:25 and was told they stop taking games half an hour before closing and that they close at 7. 6:25 is more than half an hour before. This was posted no where. If they want to be too lazy to do their job I'll be to lazy to return. read more

I have always been a PC gamer but stopped in the store to check it out. These guys were very helpful and patient in reviewing with me the old and new consoles and advised me on the best possible deal I could get for the kind of game play I was interested. Great selection of classic and used video games at a decent price. It's hard to find vintage games/systems/accessories without searching through the bowels of the internet, so this place is really an answered prayer. Note on selling games: You may want to go down that avenue on your own. Like most game stores, you won't get an awful lot back. read more

Fun store. Tons of vintage games and lots of cool toys. I used to spend a lot of money at this location. I have since been going to another location because one of the employees here (the guy in the picture) is always rude and comes off very pretentious. When he is not there I prefer this location because it is closer. read more

If you plan on trading games in make sure you get the credit or cash upfront. I traded some 3DS games in and my girlfriend had to remind them that I traded in something. Also make sure you check game discs before you exchange any money. I bought Pikmin 3 and it has a nasty scratch on it and won't play at all. We just wasted 20 bucks on something that I thought they tested before hand. Beware and just do your research before you buy something. I had a more positive experience with the one up in Round Rock. If we we both ever decide to visit this place it will be up north and it will only be for non disc based items. read more
