The people that work there are fully decent humans who actually call before you lose your items. The things that they sell are in good condition. I got a great Vizio tv for $13. the staff here are not very friendly. I came in just to verify if a ring I had of my mothers was real gold or not and they said it was and offered me 25 dollars. I turned it down and took it to an antique dealer and they offered me over 1k and told me the ring had a yellow sapphire and it was a vintage style ring probably from before 1940. I've been to the pawn shop a few times and they over charge a lot of things compared to others and I have not once been in where they have been friendly. read more

There's a girl named Gabriella that works there, and I had two separate instances where she was super difficult to work with. The first time she was explaining that they don't accept stuff unopened and I was like even for low valued items? And she just immediately gave me attitude, saying it's policy. I ask a question and if the answer wasn't "policy" that's what she told me anyway. Then the second instance, she was synching up my apple to watch to see if it works. Mind you, the first time she helped me she told me she can't hook up to my devices. And then this day she said she has to do it with Apple products. And I asked for clarification and even giggled because it didn't make sense. At no point did I raise my voice, or be disrespectful and I know the clientele can be difficult at pawn shops so if she's rude to me she's definitely rude to others. read more

Avoid. Shady. They called me on Friday, explained that I needed to pay on my items on Saturday. I paid to extend my items, except the one they had pulled one of them to sell (All had the same due date). Just happened to be the most valuable item I had in pawn...Of course they said they couldn't do anything about it. I ALWAYS extend or pick-up my stuff. I can't comment on the experience of making a purchase - however I can vouch for the friendliness and thoughtfulness of the staff. Last Saturday my car died at the intersection of Cesar Chavez and 35. After being pushed into the EZ Pawn Parking lot - I went inside to buy some jumper cables. Not only did the employees let me use the cables for free, one in particular, Bobby, came outside with me and helped charge my car for 30 minutes! That way I would be able to make it to the dealership. Tried to get a DSLR camera for my son's photography class from Mustang. Asked if I could return it within 24 hours if his teacher found some problem with it (like, some problem with the lens, for example), but Mustang said no, I'd have to have some kind of certified professional attest in writing that such a problem actually existed before they'd take it back. Seriously? Who's going to screw around with that? So I went down the street to EZ Pawn where they happily said I could return within 24 hours if there were a problem. Plus, the camera I got there was cheaper and better quality than the one at Mustang. (And the instructor said the camera was fine, so we kept it.) read more

This store has the friendliest and helpful staff you will find from any pawn shop in this area of town. I have happened to find many treasures at this location and I mean stuff I have spent years scavenger hunting for at this hill spot. They have a beautiful acoustic Taylor guitar for only $400 and an epiphone hummingbird for about ($200, they could go less). I highly recommend checking this store out if your in the area. First of all let me say that the staff is nice enough. I'm sure they deal with all sorts of bs all day and maintaining a good attitude is probably very trying and the staff does a good job of it. Nonetheless, after spending 15 min attempting to figure out the price of a lawnmower with no tags, the staff wasn't able to locate the item in the computer. Ok no problem. Things happen. No lawnmower today I guess. At this point attempted to buy a classic wii controller which after spending another 5 min waiting around while the manager contacted someone on the phone, I was told that the item needed to be re-barcoded and could not be sold. So after showing up to the shop with $200 ready to spend I was not able to purchase either of the items set out for sale that I was interested in. I left after 30 min in the store empty handed. Bad luck sure but I can think of better ways to waste time. Thanks for saving me the cash I guess. read more

I guess it's possible I'm just old school, but the last time I went to a pawn shop, you never paid the price that the price tag shows. Usually, after a little friendly bartering you can agree on a price and walk away happy while the shop makes some money. I tried purchasing a $25 item, I offered $15 (knowing I was gonna get shot down, but hoping the sales guy would throw in a counter offer) the guy said no, and I offered $20. The guy said "Let me see what I can do". We walked to the counter and the guy said "best I can do is take the taxes off, $24.88". I tried haggling a little bit, offered $22 (which quite honestly, I believe this is very, very reasonable for a $25 item) and every time the guy said "I can take the taxes off". I wound up walking away for two reasons: 1- He wouldn't take $3 off to make a sale 2- The fact that he talked to me like a child. He could've said "I'm sorry man, I can't take it any lower" but instead this is basically what happened: Me: "Will you take $15?" Him: "How about $25" Me: "Will you take $20?" Him: "How about $25" Me: "Will you take $22?" Him: "How about $25" I understand as a business you have the right to hold your ground on price, but you can be courteous while you go at it. read more
