They don't even have our patches to put on shirts if you bring them in. The service also sucks... Practically ignored... Then when I was asking about the San Bernardino County Sheriff uniforms, two female employees stared at me with their mouths open like I was speaking a foreign language. Then said, "What?" I absolutely HATE this store. I have been there three times in the past 11 months with a PO in my hand to order uniforms (which I am SO GRATEFUL are optional for my position) and I leave, PO in hand EVERY TIME. I cannot in good conscience give these people any money. Even if its not my money. I just can't. They never have anything I need in stock. I have yet to understand a customer service person there that could coherently answer any of my questions. One such question was, "What is the largest size these pants come in?" Another one, "Are there ladies sizes in these pants or just mens sizes?" I swear I would get blank stares and grunts. On top of that, their prices are OUTRAGEOUS. I went with a co-worker to order uniforms (I had my own PO and didn't use it). It took the girl behind the counter forever and a day just to type up a receipt in the computer. She asked if she could email the receipt, was told yes, and it never happened. When my co-worker finally received her order and got everything home, she found one pair of pants had a whole in the MIDDLE OF THE THIGH. Not in the seam or someplace you can't really see it, but THE MIDDLE FRONT OF THE THIGH. Guess what? Galls refused to take them back. Shocked? Not really. Leidys to the Rescue. She was awesome with her customer service. I typically purchase my uniforms at Keystone's because it's on the way to & from work. I live in Ontario so Gall's is out of my way. Since I was in the Riverside area I decided to go get some new shirts. I already knew my size & knew it would need to be altered every which way. At Keystones the never told me there was a small size that could be ordered since they don't typically carry that smaller size in store. I absolutely hate doing business with Galls when it comes to uniforms. The uniforms were measured and fitted; however, when they were ready for pick up they were still baggy. Galls advised they would fix the uniforms. When I returned to pick up the uniforms they were still baggy. I had to take matters into my own hands and take the uniforms to another uniform store to be tailored properly. I walked in to Galls in Riverside and heard the Asian guy yelling about something. Very classy guy. I checked in to get get some uniforms alternated and he bombarded me with questions about the cleanliness of my uniforms. After telling him they were clean, he continued to question me about the cleanliness of them. I took offense to his accusations that I'm some kind of slob who would bring in dirty uniforms. The tailors are either over worked or not enough of them because they would only sew patches on 3 of my uniforms. I was made to go back the following week for the other 2. Came in for alterations on my work pants. They were extremely helpful and answered all my questions. The guy in the front guided me to the alteration section from there Leidys made sure that I was fitted correctly with my new pants and was able to get the correct size. Purchased a few items at galls in person, paid with my credit card and took my items home. A few weeks later I received an invoice from galls accounts receivable that the items I had purchased in person were ordered and shipped to the store and I now had an outstanding balance due and if not paid would go to collections. I called Galls Riverside store and asked them about it which they said bring in the invoice so they could look at it. I told them I live an hour away and that was not possible. They then said call Lexington KY headquarters and figure it out with them. I told him to take my info and you look into it as it was your mistake and call me back and after many protests he said he had customers and put me on hold for 5 minutes. I hung up and called Lexington and 15 min later it was all cleared up and was an error on their end. Big business is not always better these people have lost me as a customer and I suggest you shop elsewhere. read more

Why lie? I'm starting an EMT program this Sunday and came to purchase the uniform on Tuesday. When trying on the pants they were extremely long and the workers told me that they needed to be tailored to my size. I gave them the size that I wanted them to be tailored to and they said it would be done in 1-2 days ready for pick up. Well, it's Saturday and my program starts tomorrow. I came in and they didn't even have the right size marked down for my pants, nor did they even begin. If it was going to take a week, that's fine. But at least let me know so I can buy the pants elsewhere. Now I'm sitting here in store waiting for the pants to be finished. Great way to spend a Saturday. read more

I have been coming to this location in Riverside because of my department and I have nothing but good things to say about Galls! I know their prices are a little steep compared to online shopping and what not, but the staff is very helpful and friendly. I ordered a pair of $84.00 SOLAC gloves from their website. Gloves were "in stock and will be shipped in 1-2 business days". Awesome. I received the package the day after it was supposed to arrive; no big deal. I opened the package the next day, Sunday, and found that they sent me an ACU triple magazine pouch instead. The packing list showed my gloves. Of course, the company is closed on weekends. I sent an email and received a response early the next morning: "We are sorry YOU'RE having trouble with YOUR order. Your item is now out of stock and back-ordered until October 29 (3 weeks). Return the incorrect item and let us know if you want to wait for the item or refund. Sorry for any inconvenience". This from a Senior Customer Service Specialist. Wow, this is customer service?!?! So I go on Amazon. Same gloves in stock. $30.00 cheaper AND next day shipping is free! So I tell Gall's to refund my card. Get this: they don't refund the shipping cost!?!?!? The name of their company is so accurate: "gall: bold and impudent behavior" Galls, how about this: find out if you can get the item from another distributor and send it to the customer? You still would have made a profit, AND you wouldn't have lost a customer that has spent a lot of money with you! Not to mention this review... Just wanted to bring special praise and recognition to a delightful, knowledgeable Gall's associate, Sonia Alvarez. I took my son to Gall's to get a uniform for EMT training and Sonia, not only quickly showed us exactly what we needed, she zipped around the store fiinishing up wiith another customer while helping my son at the same time instead of having us wait. Without missing a beat, she completed the other customer's measurements and checked him out all while completely outfitting my son. Next thing I knew, the pants we needed were on their way to the back with the seamstress and would be ready in minutes! I was struck by how smoothly and efficiently Sonia handled the details of both our transaction and the one happening alongside ours. I thought how impressive it was that Sonia was operating on all cylinders, expending so much of her energy, and pouring herself out to do her job there at Gall's in a way that really seemed above and beyond. As a mom and a customer, I found Sonia to be a true gift. I couldn't help but wonder if Gall's realize what a gem of an employee they have at work in their store! I hope so! Is this a family own business???? Went in an a young immature boy named Andres was the most unprofessional employee ever! My first time coming in and I will never come back again! My son is going into the academy so we HAD to come here! Walked in and he looked like he didn't want to help us one bit! He made it seem like we were a burden on his day! He was giving us short answers like he was trying to get rid of us! These officers love coming into uniform stores, it's like a "toy r us" to these officers! But coming here or even having to come back here is such a dread!! Then come to find out, the manager of this galls is his AUNT!! Is this the reason why he is aloud to treat customers this way??? Absolute worst customer service by Manager Randall! They don't answer their phones, corporate doesn't help to get a hold of someone and just puts you on hold then just disconnects the call. Finally got a hold of Randall and he was full of excuses and no apologies about how I was treated and felt. Nothing but poor excuses! Total disrespect for their customers. Can't even fix their answering machine and empty the messages so people can leave a message. I feel bad for all the people who left messages that just filled up the box and never got answered. Recently purchased a jacket here. It tookalmost an hour just to be rung up at the register. I purchased 1 name plate and 2 shoulder patches and a patch for the chest. The only custom patch was the name plate...it has now been 2 weeks since I purchased the patches and I'm being told that it will not be ready until next week. This is, by far, THE WORST service I have ever encountered with a uniform store...I will steer everyone I know and work with away from this business!! read more

The employees here are really nice and helpful and the selection of merchandise is usually pretty good. Alterations are done well and the prices are right. When I've had a uniform emergency, they have kindly accommodated me. The reason they are only getting 4 out of 5 stars from me is the condition of their bathroom - it is UNACCEPTABLE. I've come here three times this past month for uniforms and bits and pieces. Because I travel a distance, I always use the bathroom when I'm here. I was here Monday morning and the bathroom was dirty, both trash cans were full and overflowing, and there was no TP or paper towels. Mind you they are closed on Saturday and Sunday so I'm assuming this filthy condition was from Friday?? Don't they have a cleaning crew that comes in at night or on the weekends?? I think someone should be assigned to check and restock the bathroom before opening each day. Also, customers wear uniforms here, which means many of us (at least the girls) are emptying pockets or removing equipment from our belts to lower our pants and go pee. There is nowhere to put anything. No shelf to set your keys and sunglasses down on, no hook on the back of the door, nothing. They should put a small table in there so we can put our things down. Today is Thursday and I'm back to pick something up, I go to the bathroom and AGAIN it's dirty, trash cans full, no TP or paper towels in the dispensers; TP roll is sitting on the back of the toilet and I have get paper towels out of an open package on the floor. That's not very sanitary, and with the COVID-19 issues happening, and most of the customers being first responders, the bathroom should be clean clean clean. read more

The service at Galls is exceptional! I came in with a purchase order and Leidys Ariza helped me with my order the two times I came in. If you're going in to get your uniform altered, Leidys is the woman to go to. She is EXTREMELY patient and kind and I owe a lot to her. The first time I was in Galls, Leidys got everything done for me that I needed. She is a sweet heart who shows she really cares and will go above and beyond to get the things you need. The second time I was there, I came in to pick up my uniform. The uniform came back how I wanted and they were altered correctly. Only reason why I had to alter two shirts again was because of my own mistake of not noticing it in the first place. I made adjustments to my uniform and she stayed after hours to help me with all of my needs, especially for my own mistake of not noticing it the first time! Talk about patience and professionalism! To my surprise, I was greeted within seconds of entering the store and was offered immediate assistance. I was in need of a work shirt and the staff who assisted me were knowledgeable and courteous. Never going back. I cannot remember a time when the service was good. Once again customer service was awful with the staff never willing to help or go out of their way to help. There are a couple of other options for uniform stores in the area which I will be giving my business from here on out. Don't waste your time going to Galls. Save time, money and the aggravation and go to P&P Uniforms. I'm well aware Galls (as most uniform shops) policy is all uniforms must be laundered before they will work on them. So I took my laundered uniform to Galls to get my patches switched out but they insisted my uniform was dirty and refused to work on it. I explained my uniform was clean, just not pressed as it was in my truck but they refused. So frustrating. Needless to say, I went staright to P&P and they did the work - no questions asked. Galls was a total waste of my time and I will never return. And P&P charged $2.16. Galls was $8.34 for the same exact work. read more

This review is based solely on Customer Service. I came in today after not visiting Galls for about 5 years due to me being assigned out in the desert. Anyways I read the reviews and noticed that Galls reputation has not changed in the past 5 years( poor customer service etc). I came in expecting to be treated horrible and expected to have to wait for hours. My experience could not have been farther from that. I came in and was greeted very nicely. The representatives answered all my questions and directed me to the area where I could try on new uniforms. Yes I had to wait for a little while but it wasn't to bad. The tailor was very nice and got my uniforms tailored very quickly . I expect my uniforms will take a little while to get back but Galls is one of the few uniform shops in Riverside County so I will wait patiently. I have used this uniform shop due to the convenience of it's location for the past 6 years. It has continuously gotten worst(it was never good in the first place). I called 4 times before heading to the store to assure the items I needed would be in stock. The first call was answered and I was placed on hold for 10 minutes with no further assistance. Each following call was not answered, I figured maybe they were swamped and continued to drive to the store. There were 6 employees with maybe 10 customers in the store and only one employee actually talking to a customer. I then went on to wait for nearly TWO HOURS TO GET MY PANT INSEAM MEASURED. At this point in time there were more employees than customers in the store. After paying over 500 dollars they gave me a 16-20 business day turn around. Thanks. Should have drove to literally any other uniform store. Absolutely terrible service. read more

This place is just awful, I can't even believe my department still has a contract with them. They take weeks to months to complete simple orders. When you call in to check on the status of your order no one ever answers. When I was there getting fitted the women at the computer even said she intentionally doesn't answer the phone. I get it, it's a busy store. But sheesh, at least have some customer service and at least answer the phone.
