They are the only uniform place in town. Stopped in a month ago to try on my jacket and be measured for alterations. They were friendly and said it would be done "in about 10 days, maybe a bit longer" and to call if I needed it sooner. That was a month ago. Called today and was told it isn't ready. Asked if it could be expedited (I need it in a few days) and was told they aren't doing expedites now because they are backed up. I asked politely to speak with a supervisor. Was left on hold for 15 minutes until the line went dead. The people working in the store are usually friendly and helpful, but they are clearly overwhelmed and overall the place just doesn't cut it. read more

They are kind of the only uniform place in the metro so you don't get much of a choice. They always seem to be out of my size and never seem to know what will be in stock until that day. The staff are always friendly though it doesn't seem like there are enough of them to cover the volume or help with questions. If I didn't have to shop here, I would just purchase what I need off Amazon and save myself the drive, the hassle and the disappointment of having to settle. read more

Ordered a vest 13 weeks ago and haven't heard anything back. Called today, and was told I would get a call back in fifteen minutes. 60 minutes later I called again and was put on a 20 min hold. Then, was told my vest was never even processed but the vendor US armor could do a rush order (6 to 10) weeks to make the vest. Do not recommend this business at all. Been in law enforcement 16 years and neves/ galls has always dropped the ball. read more

I wish i could update this review to a Zero star. After my initial review of taking over a month for my polo shirts I hoped maybe things were better. They polo order never got filled. Someone just let it slip thru the cracks. On 12/6 I went to Galls to get fitted for my new dress uniforms for promotion. It took 2 hours plus to get fitted and measured due to short staffing. It is now 12/2 and I have missed 2 funerals where I was working inside the venue and did not have the dress uniform for my new rank. Not even my hat. I heard from many people how slow it was at galls so I didn't call. I called today and was told my order is not in the system due to a glitch and my order was lost and had never been filled. I guess it never would have if I hadn't called. So now I've waited two months for nothing and have to go back to get re-fitted for everything!! ALERT !! "The Leather boots that I purchased from them, turned out NOT be leather at all. Total fraud !! This is what I wrote to them: Just wanted to let you know that these boots that I purchased from Galls, and that you advertise as LEATHER UPPER.....well, that's just simply is a lie! Today, after qualifying at the gun range with this pair of boots from Galls, I attempted to clean them and polish them for inspection. What do you know....the fake leather (vinyl) that covers the entire upper boot part, is cracking and peeling off! Yes, imagine....there is NO leather to be found on these boots. I ordered polo shirts June 27. As of Nov 19 I still do not have them. Two orders have been "lost" in the system and they ordered me men's shirts that fit like a dress (I wear a small in women's). Their customer service has been beyond terrible and nobody there seems to care enough to fix the problem. This store has only gotten worse since changing from Neves to Galls. I honestly don't know how any department can justify using them for their supplier. read more

Largest selection of equipment and uniforms in the Metro area. That is about all I can say good for it. Always busy, and never enough staff. And the staff that are there seem to either have no clue where anything is, or are annoyed that you are even talking to them. Very Hot Topic, minus the makeup and piercings. On my most recent trip, I was refused purchase of a pen-style handcuff key on my most recent visit (admittedly in civilian clothing and without my agency ID), and was told "we only sell to law enforcement and fire," a statement I know to be untrue as I have purchased gear hear before in civilian clothes and wasn't asked for my agency ID. Same trip, they were out of nylon belt keepers (just about the most basic police supply item on the planet). The excuse I was given was that Denver PD had just authorized their guys to wear nylon instead of leather and they kept getting bought out. Came to find out later at another supply shop that this authorization had been in place for over 6 months. Very poor supply management. But at the end of the day, they are the 800-pound gorilla and they know it. read more

Neve's has some good products. That being said, it seems as if every time I visit this store, I am always burned in some way. Not one of my 5-10ish trips here has ended perfectly and I am constantly underwhelmed by their customer service. But like I said, they have some good stuff. read more

I've been a cop for well over 20 years. I dealt with this business when it was Neve's. Neve's was horrible and Galls is by far worse. I went in to get a name tape for a coat. They told me 2 weeks for it to come in! 2 weeks? Are you kidding me? I'm not asking for you to make me a new coat! I simply need a name tape sewn onto a coat! Employees are less than helpful. They walk around and look miserable! They no longer sell guns which is ridiculous. I will likely order online from a retailer other than Gall's from now on. My time and energy is worth more to me and I don't need to deal with it. read more

I was in their store trying on boots for over half an hour and not a single employee offered to help me, nor did they even greet me as I came in or thank me as I was leaving. There were even multiple employees sitting at the desk by the entrance door when I came in and left. I saw the other reviews and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the negative reviews were spot on. Not sure how they stay in business with their horrible customer service. I ordered a belt online from Galls and they waited two weeks to let me know it was placed on back-order, I only found out when I called to check on the shipping status. I canceled the order and called this local store who said they were currently out but would be getting more in by Saturday. I asked them are you sure, because I need it by Saturday. They said yes no problem as it would arrive Saturday morning but the woman on the phone spoke with her manager and then told me they would pull one from another store just to make double sure. I placed the order and they said they would call me. Come Saturday I called the store because I hadn't heard from them, and they are closed on Saturdays! What?! Why wouldn't they tell me that? I followed up on Monday and what do you know, they said it was on back-order but if I wanted, they could pull one from another store and have it there sooner. Deja Vu. I canceled the order and asked for a refund. Bad, just bad. Got on Amazon, found the belt, had it delivered in two days no problem. Tried to give Galls business but I won't ever be going back online or in person. read more

It is a never ending problem with the Gall's store in Colorado Springs. You call down there and they tell you they have something in stock only to drive 30 mins to find they don't have it. The lose orders, refuse orders and take forever sometimes. sometimes don't seem interested in making a sale with customers. I've been in customer service for 30 years and by far the worst store I have been in. I plan to bring this to the attention of cspd staff and see if we can change to a new vender. very disappointing. read more

Neve's is a big place. I am never in there when there aren't a lot of customers and I understand it's busy. But their customer service really sucks. I talked to four employees while there and all of them looked annoyed and acted like they had better things to do. I went to a different police supply store and there were a lot nicer and had the item I neeeded (Neve's didn't have what I needed and as one male employee flatly told me "What we have is out on the floor") One female employee saw me standing at their center glass counter and sure enough walked off, purposely ignoring me like she had something more important to do and I know she knew I was there. She never even acknowledged me. I won't be back. I can get my stuff on-line cheaper, quicker, and without feeling like I'm a pain to the employees. read more

My question is who is running this place. Nerves was terrible to deal with. It was bought by Galls and I'm amazed that the place has gotten even worse. Takes months to order shirts and pants that should be in stock. Galls now says they are 14 business days out to fix your pants. You will wait an hour in line and get nowhere with the employees. I would suggest you make the drive to Adamsons for much better service and cheaper prices. I avoid Galls as much as I can. This place is a perfect example of how a business is not run. read more

Terrible system for embroidery and very little quality customer service. Multiple members of our Fire Department have purchased station shirts at this establishment... and every order for embroidery was inordinately delayed. The customer service representatives all stated a 7 to 10 day turnaround for the shirts embroidery to be completed (The shirts were in stock and purchased on site). And, every instance went well over 30 days without any notification or update to the orders. Multiple calls and requests to have the items expedited or otherwise completed fell on deaf ears and/or were greeted with an excuse as to why there is a delay. We are searching elsewhere for a competent company to source our department work wear and embroidery needs. I suggest you do the same. read more

I went in on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, ahead of the Glock Days event that was going to be held on August 18 and 19 to see what paperwork I needed to bring in to make my first firearm purchase. Brett and another gentleman behind the firearm counter could not have been more helpful. They told me what I needed to bring in and answered some other questions I had. I came back in on August 18 to make my purchase. Brett saw me in line to start the paperwork for my purchase and ushered me into the store before it opened. Brett started my paperwork and got things ready for me. The store was absolutely swamped with the special sale and R. Lee Ermey there meeting people. But Brett took the time to assist me with my first purchase and answer all of my questions. Bottom line is that I cannot say enough good things about the service I received while I was at Neve's and plan to make it my 'go to' store for uniform and other items. read more

This is by far the worst business I've ever dealt with! I've been putting up with this place for over 15 years and every time I come here it's like the first day they've ever been open. The customer service is terrible, you can easily wait up to an hour for help when it's barely busy. Nothing is ever in stock and if it is, it's so overpriced its disgusting. The tailor is the worst!! patches are consistently put on crooked and off center, the craftsmanship is never more than shoddy. I used Neve's as a service center for a Streamlight flashlight. I was told on the phone they replace parts in house, but upon arrival, was told I would have to leave it to be returned to Streamlight for replacement. After stating what was told to me on the phone regarding repair, and my displeasure at driving across town to do something I could have done myself from my home, a very nice employee said he would see what he could do and returned a short time later with a replacement flashlight. I did spend a few minutes browsing the store, mostly the firearms accessories. They do have a large selection of gear if you need to finger something locally. Prices seemed about right for brick and mortar. I'm always willing to support local businesses but there wan't much there that I was looking for at the time or just couldn't live without. read more

THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE! Better off purchasing your stuff online. Check Bluestar and see if they have what you neeed before Galls, even if you have to pay out of pocket. Customer service at Galls is atrocious. Sometimes you will have to bring your items back multiple times before the job is done right. Extra time is spent on fixing mistakes rather than doing it rifht the first time. Warehouse full of things you don't need, unless you work for RTD or the Postal Service. read more

Went in with a small list for my son's job and was greeted at the door by Cathy. Because I was unfamiliar with the store, and am disabled and cannot walk well, Cathy was more than happy to take me to the areas where I needed to find my items. The only thing I could not find was the specific brand of flashlight, but everything else was found. Cathy also rang up my items and off I went. This place caters to either extremely large sized or extremely small sized people. If you are of average build then this place will have nothing for you. However, if you are in no rush to get your uniform, they will happily order it for you, and in about 2 months you can go and pick it up. You would think that this place would order to fill the shelves but I've been coming here for over a year and there selection has been just as poor as day one. The customer service is decent but if you expect to go in and buy anything and get it right on the spot then you will be sadly mistaken. I left a shirt to get tailored and it took so long that I honestly think that they may have planted some cotton, waited for it to produce, harvested it, wound the fibers by hand, and then handed off the thread to a blind man to create me a crooked mess of cotton that is nearly unwearable. read more

I would prefer zero stars but apparently that is not an option. The service at Neves is horrible at all levels. Not only is the customer service poor quality, but they do not employ enough people to accommodate the number of customers that go in there. (Minus us now. We will never return.) The alterations department is AWFUL! After two weeks of waiting for my husbands police uniform shirts to be picked up and no phone call, (which we had required,) I popped in to pick them up. I waited 40 minutes. The employee came back up front, talking with a mouth full of food and said" sorry, I couldn't find them." I know, they never even did them until that day. They did a very shotty rush job on his shirts. The thread was all knotted up and the lines were more like waves. The material was folded over and bulky. It looked awful. I brought the shirts home for my husband to see the poor work. I returned a week later and asked for a refund,(which I received) and asked the employee if she thought that the work was acceptable. She stated that she agreed it was awful. I would like to believe that our men and woman first responders would get better service than this. They do not deserve to go out on the street looking like crap because of the lack of care and lack of pride that these incompetent employees demonstrate. I took the shirts to a different alterations business and she is doing them for me at no charge due to the awful service we experienced at Neves. What a crying shame that a police officer that has been in law enforcement for twenty years gets no respect on the street and then no respect to the uniform at this store. Get a better security system for your website. Placed an order last Wednesday then the next day all these charges from Vegas and San Francisco were put on my card. I have never even been to either city or live anywhere close! I know it was your website because I never got an order confirmation email and the transaction for the order never showed up on my card history.
