I placed an order on the 21st. I received the rest of my order but then there's one pair of shoes that's assigned to Denver the package arrived from Denver, but the shoes were missing. I was told it was assigned to Brooklyn the whole entire time even though I was emailed that it was assigned to Denver now to the employee. The woman who picked up the phone. Was saltier than a chip! How I am supposed to know how to find my order? Am I David Blaine here to entertain you? Now, rather than having a main warehouse each individual store ships out, which does nothing but create chaos. So this pitbull of an employee with a gigantic chip on her shoulder, was nasty and unapologetic. No no empathy. I was treated nose in the air uppity. I have spent 2k with them in the last two months. I am finding out the hard way that there are some bad employees in a good store. I spoke to an employee there today about 20 minutes ago. I have never complained about anything Fluevog. This tells me there is someone not really appreciative of her job.

I asked if he could order the correct size and he said it was too late in the season. I got home and realized my heel was hanging over the back edge of the shoe and it looked ridiculous. My husband found the shoe online from the company directly for $40 less and in the correct size. When I tried to return the $170 unworn shoe, they rudly refused to return them. When a store has such a strict non-return/exchange policy it shout be disclosed at the time of sale! I feel they are counting on the tourist sales that will never return and they don't care about taking care of a valued local customer--- Very frustrating!

Outdoor walkable mall with wide sidewalks and less traffic. Someone also had summery clothes laid out for people to take as needed. Made me smile. We passed a cool play structure for small kids in the shape of a honeycomb/hive, with chairs on the side for parents to rest and watch. The efforts of Denver to revitalize their downtown appear to be paying off. I would hang out there more if we lived nearby (between heading out to Golden or the Red Rocks Amphitheater;)). Coming from Houston, I saw this collection, I have a local artist in Houston who was missing this NASA one for his collection. I took these 3 photos to send to him to see if he wanted me to buy it and bring it to his studio. The guy working the counter, loudly and in a very azzhole tone yelled at me in front of other patrons that they don't allow photos to be taken. I explained that it was being sent to a collector that will more than likely want me to pick it up for him out of Houston, guy again yelled at me. I asked how do they sell to people from out of town if you can't take a photo to which he responded "you can Facetime them... you don't have to shop here if you don't want to". He yelled that statement 3 times back to back to back... so I took his advice and went up the street and spend my money elsewhere. Avoid this place like the plague. It's a chain store with shytty employees with shytty attitudes. This happened on Thursday March 28, 2024 at around 5:00pm.

I genuinely believe I was racially profiled and falsely accused of stealing at this store today. I…read moream still sitting here trying to process what happened because I have never been so embarrassed and humiliated. I purchased a pair of sweatpants because it was getting cold and I have a dress on.. When I walked out, one of the loss prevention officers grabbed my wrist extremely tightly and stopped me. The part that makes this even more unbelievable is that my receipt was in my hand & he eventually took it from me... he literally had my receipt in his hand. Both officers had been standing nearby and watched me check out, I seen them looking at me while I checked out. so they knew I had paid and knew exactly which register I had used. Yet I was still stopped and accused of stealing. Apparently the guy at the fitting room is the one who told them i was stealing. The officer took my receipt, walked me back toward the register, and asked the cashier whether I had actually checked out and paid for the pants. Again, HE WAS HOLDING THE RECEIPT THE ENTIRE TIME. The receipt clearly showed the transaction, including the time. I did absolutely nothing wrong. I was a paying customer who made a legitimate purchase, and I should never have been treated this way, especially being physically grabbed and restrained when I had proof of purchase in my hand. What makes this even more upsetting is that I was in Denver for a solo day trip. I had been having a really good day until this happened, and now I'm sitting here crying and feeling humiliated over something I did not do. I had actually applied to the University of Denver's PhD program for next year. After this experience, I will be withdrawing.. i don't want anything to do with this city. You hear stories about people being racially profiled and think, surely that wouldn't happen to me. Then one day it does. I hope this store reviews the surveillance footage, investigates this incident, and addresses how its loss prevention staff treat paying customers. I will absolutely be following up about what happened. This was supposed to be a fun solo day trip. Unfortunately, it will be my first and last.

I really wish I could remember the really helpful associate that helped me, but she didn't give me her name (she showed me the Darcy's and I also ended up getting those boots as one of my pairs). Anywho, I tried on a few pairs and ultimately settled with two different pairs of boots (one short boot and a bootie). I really love the quality of Freebird shoes and love how they come wrapped with the fleece shoe covers. I cannot wait for my other boots to be sent to me but this was a really great shopping experience. I didn't feel rushed and the sales associate took her time when helping me. Also, I really love how their boots here are all handmade, which makes each pair super unique and absolutely worth the price. Thanks to the freebird staff for helping me find a few pairs of boots to replace my pairs that I had worn out .

Visiting Denver I knew we had to visit the REI Flagship store located in downtown. This huge store…read morestands next to the South Platte River where the Cherry Creek and South Platte rivers unite in beautiful Confluence Park. Such a great location. The store itself is huge and located within the restored 1901 Denver Tramway Building. This building is all brick and just stunning to walk up to and into. They offer every type of equipment one would need for their selected sport whether it's hiking, climbing, cycling, camping, paddling, skiing, snowboarding or overall fitness. They also offer the option to rent outdoor equipment, provide a full range bike shop and ski and snowboard services. The store features a 47 foot tall climbing wall right in the middle of the floor and other unique decorations. I have never been in such a huge REI store but it was a fun experience. My husband managed to spend all his saved up gift cards (Ha! Ha!) Service was friendly and helpful from the staff. REI can always be a little on the spendy side but I always try to catch their sales. I love being a member and receiving my annual rewards. Parking is the only downer as it's only free for the first hour. After that you must pay and believe me, an hour is not enough time here. So glad we had the opportunity to stop in, shop and check out this historic location.
