The guys at Emage are all class acts. They are the only skate shop I dig in the Denver metro area. Their knowledge and consistent customer service I continues to be far superior to other skate shops in the area. Skate shops aren't always the easiest places to talk into. They can be intimidating for younger skaters or beginners in general. They don't fall into this category at all. Doesn't matter what your skill level or age is, when you walk in you instantly feel like your a part of the Emage team. This morning I went in to exchange some shoes that I bought days ago. Hate to be honest but I always feel like I'm being watched by the employees here. I understand skaters like to steal but it's never good to make customers feel unwelcome. Only time I come here is for bearings; never a shirt or something like that. I come and go cause I always feel uncomfortable being watched all the time. I love skateboarding shoes. Do I board? No. Does that make me a poser? I hope not. I certainly don't act like I know anything about the sport. Truly, I just have a thing for the shoes...and the clothes...and this store is um...KILLER for someone like me. My guy and I walk into the store and automatically, all eyes are on our shoes. Cause we have kicks to die for. And so do they. Their wall of shoe includes NikeSB, Etnies, Vans, DVS, and more but what impressed my guy the most was the selection within the brand. NikeSB classics mingled with Dunks and Zoom Tre's...and for the shoe-file, this could go on all day. Deck's include brands by GIRL, STEREO, LISTEN, and CHOCOLATE. The snowboarding/skate clothes are so cute I want to be active -- and of course, they've got snowboards if you're in the market. In hip hats and amazing clothes, the staff is laid-back (of course) and they know what they're talking about because if they had their druthers they wouldn't be there helping you. They'd be out and about on the mountains or the park, but they're cute and if you ask, 10 bucks they'll know where to go if you're looking to hear some good music. read more

I walked into the shop and a gentleman at the cash register made eye contact with me and then proceeded to look down at his phone hunched over. Didn't say hello or asked if I needed help. I was browsing the shoes and had Nike's in my hand and he still was hunched over starring at his phone. I walked in openly about to purchase 2 pairs of shoes but the lack of customer service and stoke that was shared was bare minimum. This was probably the best experience I have had at a snowboard shop- ever- anywhere. That says a lot considering I've been riding for almost 15 years and I have lived in ski towns all over the globe. I feel the need to write this review bc Brandt (if I'm spelling that right) was so incredibly friendly and helpful. It is so hard to be a girl sometimes.. You walk into a shop in your high heel boots looking all bubbly and blond, you dudes automatically assume I a) can't really shred b) dont know the difference between core profiles, dampness, and rocker vs camber.. and c) dont have an AMEX blah blah blah. Its lame. I have money to spend, and I find it very frustrating when no one will help me spend it, its just plain wrong. So I walked into Emage, first time ever venturing there from Breck/Boulder.. but local options had left such a bad taste in my mouth I was determined to spend my money elsewhere. Super easy to get there off 1-25, right near the skatepark, and cool neighborhood. Brandt was incredibly friendly and helpful immediately. I had a very good idea of what I was looking for, and I am super particular. He really listened to what I had to say, and I loved how he explained so many of the technical specifics with me. He respected my brand biases and lead me through the entire Gnu girls line step by step. They also carry NS, Capita, and a few other brands.. although my heart lies with NS and Mervin only these days.. Just an overall amazing experience, and worth the drive to Denver. I didn't really look at the soft goods, but from what I store everything looked stylee, well organized and legit. Bottom line, if you actually know anything about snowboarding and want quality product, go here, support your local skateshop and don't waste your money or crap at Sports Authority. If you are just starting out and looking to score some cheap stuff from previous seasons, thats cool too, but I recommend a Boulder Ski Deals/ MSO option. This is the best local skate/snow shop in town. They have the best go out-of-your-way customer service that I have not encountered anywhere else in town. These guys know their shit. I just picked up my Never Summer board for the 09-10 season and that alone earns them 5 stars. You can't find too many local places that carry NS gear. They also carry other brands that you won't find at places like Ski & Golf. Everything is quality even though it may be pricey-you pay for what you get! I'd be miserly and give this place four stars if it weren't for Taylor's (I'm terrible with names but I think that's it) complete and utter bad-assery. If I could buy the whole store from her I would. Knowledgeable. Friendly. Low-pressure. Truth is, even with their great end-of-season sale, I could've ordered my new snowboard online and saved 20 bucks but screw that. I want that woman to get all the commission in the world and the shop to get support for hiring someone I can actually relate to. Limited but beautifully curated selection of boards (mostly Never Summer and Capita), decks, bindings (Union), boots (Thirty-Two, Nike, etc.), other gear, and apparel. I grew up skating a bit and riding a lot and ever since the age of 14, I've been putting up with condescension from idiots at board shops. Nearly two decades is enough of that crap. This place marries many of my divergent identies so well:rocker-hipster-snowboarder-academic-city slicker-outdoorsman. Emage stomps out the image of the bro-dude-dick shop and gives me an oasis for geeking out on techie stuff and swooning over aesthetics. Great local skate shop with tons of schwag, clothes, boards and accessories for both street and snow. The proximity to the Denver Skate Park is fortuitous if you snap a board, need grippier wheels for the slidy slidy park or want a helmet as you're dropping into the big bowl for the first time. I've bought skateboards, wheels and snowboard gear and the workers are always willing to answer questions (but they'll leave you alone to browse too) and help you out. The snowboard pants I bought for this season were fantastic and they helped me look through several types before I settled. Prices are what you'd expect for this kind of gear; not outrageously high but not super low. I'm always of the mantra that you get what you pay for; if you buy cheap shite, then you'll be buying more of it. If you're a shoe connoisseur, Emage has quite the collection of skate shoes for both skating and looking sweet. Nothing ruins a casual outfit more than a pair of beat-up or super white running shoes. So do yourself a favor and pick up at least one pair of skate shoes in black/blue/brown for the most flexibility or get some neon/glittery kicks for the KAPOW on the exclamation point that is your gear. I think it's no big deal if you wear skate shoes and don't skate. It keeps the companies in business and if it rids the world of the Seinfeld syndrome (jeans with blindingly white sneakers), I'm down with it. read more

Im a beginner and Emmett was so kind and helpful giving meekest the low on all the parks I would feel more comfortable at. He also explained what board would be best for what I was looking for and had me stand on them etc so now I feel like I understand my board much better than if I had just bought online. This is the only snowboard shop I'd recommend in Denver. Brandon(I think that is his name) was a huge help. Went out of his way to help my friend and I at the same time. Very knowledgeable about everything and really broke everything down to assure me on my binding purchase. Went with the Union Atlas and stoked to try them out. Can't say enough about Brandon. I am currently deployed over seas and I recently purchased a pair of Union Force Mc's from there website. I got them on christmas day when they had 15% off the whole store. So it was an awesome deal, however i've not heard a single word back from them regarding my order. There online e-mail quotes provide only a phone number, no customer service e-mail. Witch normally if i was back in the states wouldn't be a problem, however e-mail is my only source of contact its kind of a BIG deal to me. Hopefully they are just backed up on online orders and have not gotten to mine? But if thats the case it would be nice to receive a message letting me know why i have not received ANY information regarding the shipping status of my order. Didn't hesitiate to offer me the new model year for the same price and apologize for the goof up. First class service in my book. This would get zero stars if that was an option. Long story short--I'm in the market for a new snowboard. Stopped into Emage on my way home from work to look at possible boards and, hopefully, get some insight from the guys working there as to what would best fit what I'm looking for. At least three guys were working when I came in, one of which was helping a guy try on boots. I stood near the snowboard section for ten minutes both browsing at looking back at the other two employees waiting for some help. Nobody bothered to acknowledge me, let alone ask if I needed help or had any questions or, ya know, was looking to buy a new snowboard. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that I wasn't ignored because I was in my work clothes and not baggy jeans and a flannel shirt. After ten minutes of being ignored, I left knowing that I would not spend $500 on a new deck at that shop and will never be back. read more

I had purchased a black nixon wallet for my boyfriend for christmas. I waited an extreamly long time to recieve it. On the sight I was under the impression that I was getting the black one. When I recieved it I got a tan wallet. The sight was confusing and even when you clicked on the black wallet and added it to your shopping cart it still leaves you with the impression that that is the one your getting. So I called Emage Network to see why they had sent me the wrong one and if they could simply exchange it. I was shocked with the treatment of the staff. I had never been treated so poorly in my life. Whatever happpened to the customer is always right? That is deffinatley not a motto that store goes by. I would highly reccomend rethinking purchasing anything from this sight. If something is wrong with an item you recieve from this company they are not willing to work with you. Horrible service. The rating does not even deserve a one star becuase it was that poor. read more
