Southwest decided to tear me a new one into my backpacking bag after gate checking my bag. I've always loved coming to feral to window shop, but now know this will be a go to place to repairs on my gear I thought the repair would be good, but I did t think it'd be THAT good. The thread they used match the light blue inner lining of my bag and compared to my sorry attempt, it looks factory done. Absolutely worth it

Feral is the Disneyland of Secondhand Outdoorsy Gear! Simply amazing! We need more Secondhand retail like FERAL in our lives. The Customer Service was phenomenal; I originally called Feral to verify backpacking gear! I spoke with Dan a few times over the phone and in person. Dan was very patient with my questions and actually remembered my name!? I thought that was cool and the merchandise really sold me. I found the perfect pre-owned 75L unisex backpack from a brand called Osprey. The Luna 75L Grey Purple bag was nicely adjusted in store and only cost me $35.00!! I bought a decent pair of running shoes with extra support to help with those long hikes. I was saving myself from blisters and these pair of shoes will save me from the heartache. You can find some pretty decent deals such as Patagonia, North Face, L.L. Bean etc., I also joined their rewards program which was awesome. I bought some nice size 5 kid's shoes for my little sister and a new sweater at half the cost. Feral definitely won my heart and they have the most coolest staff ever!!

Had never gone skiing before in my life -- Sydney AKA Syd was SO HELPFUL and amazing! She helped me…read morewith zero judgment or condescension, and managed to somehow locate snow pants and other first-timer gear that would fit me at barely 5'2". Just a totally amazing employee who went above and beyond, and I'm sad that she no longer works there. Someone please get in touch with her -- I was supposed to have written this review months ago, and had put it off until now! In general, you can't beat the prices at Wilderness Exchange, and everyone there is just so sweet and kind and wonderful. No sports snobs to be found, only people who genuinely want to be there for you, even if you're a total noob and have no idea what you're even supposed to be buying. Thankful that they didn't upsell me on anything unnecessary -- I got exactly what I needed (jacket, gloves, base layers, goggles, pants), and had a killer first ski lesson ever thanks to Wilderness Exchange. Thanks, y'all!

TAKES A LOT OF EFFORT TO FIND BARGAINS HERE…read more We were told that Wilderness Exchange Unlimited is the place to come when you find REI too expensive. Wilderness Exchange is across the street from the flagship REI megastore. Park in the large lot (first hour free) next to Wilderness Exchange. We always enjoy hunting for bargains but it was not fun going through the mostly meh merchandise here. Hiking wear was still expensive even with tags showing markdowns of 25-50% off. We found the choices for women's clothing limited and less appealing (ugly colors and zero style) than the men's clothing. Plus secondhand clothing was mixed in with unworn merchandise. As for camping and hiking gear, it's hit or miss. Gear is expensive here even if it is marked down. If you are a hiking or camping newbie, bring a friend who can advise you about brands, quality and prices plus do some comparison shopping at REI. Confirm Wilderness Exchange's limited return and warranty policy.

The size is massive compared to all the other locations we have visited. Also the usage of this building is done very well to allow REI the space they need but also to showcase the architecture too. It feels truly endless and like it keeps going on and on. It is broken up into well-segmented sections based on the items. Prices may not be the cheapest but things do seem to be higher quality so it does make sense. Staff were welcoming and did offer help a few different times. A highlight that I don't believe I have found at my local location was on the third floor with items that have been returned and are on sale by a good margin. They are also well labeled explaining why they have been returned so you will know any defects. I bet you can find some great deals up there! Through hiking the Appalachian Trail. The beard's been trimmed, my feet feel somewhat normal and I've been reflecting back on those fun days on the trail with all my hiker trash friends. I'm sitting here planning my next great challenge, hiking the Pacific Crest Trail next spring/summer. One of my big decisions is what equipment worked great for me on the AT and what equipment I need to replace for my PCT adventure. The one thing I loved on the AT journey was my MHM Divide 55 pack. The Divide has to be the most comfortable, dependable packs I've owned. If you're into ultra light packet's not for you, coming in at 5.5 pounds. If you are a hiker who wants a greta fitting quality pack that carries your equipment comfortably, this is your pack. The Divide allows easy access to that one piece of equipment that you need right now; without emptying the pack out. Thanks to it's eleven different pockets. I'm one of those people who love to keep everything organized and in it's place. I guess that comes form over thirty years of working for the US Forest Service, National Park Service and the US Fish and Wildlife Service. The quality of the workmanship and the design of the pack features are second to none. The pack fits great no matter if you're carrying twenty-five or forty-five pounds of gear. Yea, Im not a ultra light hiker, yet. Twice, on the AT I went more then ten days plus in between resupply points, because I'd rather spend my time on the trail then in town. The Divide had room and could handle the added wight and still ride great.Their adjustable, dual pivoting hip belt, along with the sYsnc A.C. suspension suspension system, makes this pack the most comfortable pack I've ever used. This small pack company in Colorado has really put that extras effort into making, what I think is the best backpack on the market today. After five and a half months on the AT my Divide 55 was still in great shape. That's because of the quality on materials used and great workmanship they place in there packs. So, happy trails and remember; Hike your own hike. Be safe and see ya on the trail. Toasted Toad

You will need to use street parking or a public parking lot such as I did. It's really not bad at all to park away from the location and get out for a nice walk to the store. The store lay-out for Patagonia isn't bad. It's clean and organized. Staff aren't so helpful. There were two staff members at the front register. Why one of them couldn't be on the main floor helping customers is a mystery. When going to check out at the register one of them pretty much ignored me then caught herself moments later. Management: please improve customer relations. Don't make interactions so transactional. I walked away with what I wanted but probably should have just used another retailer or distributor to get it. I'm in no hurry to return to this location.

While they blamed it on Fox for warranty issues, the first they asked about what year it was to see if it was recall eligible was yesterday, so it clearly was sitting there for 6 weeks collecting dust.
