Have been shopping at this store for years, usually great curation and love the sustainability element. Prior to me becoming a regular there, was always a strange customer service of following me around until the workers caught on that I sell/trade/buy frequently. I went in today to sell, was trying items on after, then headed over to the jewelry section as I typically do after not finding clothes/shoes. I dropped a stack of bangles hanging off an S clip on the display, immediately picked them up then continued to browse the necklaces. All of a sudden I felt a shadow while browsing, after finding nothing I decide to leave because I was obvi being followed and monitored, the white employee continued to walk towards the front of the store as I left as well. I felt very uncomfortable and wanted to just leave since I could telling working retail the assumptions being made about me. The black employee then told me I left my bag of non-taken items and still needed to cash out. I honestly believe this new employee wasn't aware that I shop there all the time, but honestly felt like my first couple visits all over again. read more

I've been coming to SM for years from out of town so to watch it transform has been an incredible experience. I found a lovely patchwork halter top made in India for $14 which I can't wait to wear on my upcoming trip to the tropics. I also got a cute baggu tote, seamoss and driftwood scented candle as well as 2 strawberry mountain jam shaped magnets. Service was super nice especially when I was trying some pants on and had to pass on them. My only suggestion is to please please please bring back the cute and unique sock selection, which I may be biased about because I love collecting them. Also, I think a few years ago there were fun pins/rings and other antique-y tchotchkes in their glass case which I missed this trip. Overall the vibes are still amazing and will definitely come back next trip :) read more

With the quirky, cute name full of whimsy, I was drawn in completely. Perhaps, though, I was disillusioned. Strawberry Mountain is much more rigid than the implied playfulness of the name. I've sold clothes here about 3-4 times over the last 3 years, and at each appointment I'm confounded by the scrutiny of the buyer. Where Crossroads will take the whole lot, Strawberry Mountain may take one item. It's the same defense every time: "dirty," "out of style," "not in season," even though I follow the website guidelines. This is especially confounding because I've bought items with stains on them from this store, and have been told by the store owner that their clothes occasionally come from The Bins (iykyk) -- which is fine, though it really confuses me how someone can scrutinize my clothing so harshly when The Bins are supplying the store. Though each employee is amicable, I've been instructed arbitrarily about things that just seem authoritarian, like bringing a bag for the buyer to dispose of unselected clothes into for the convenience of them saving space on their countertop -- even though I was the only person selling at the time, and I only had 10 items. Buying clothes is also out of the question if you are of the curvy, voluptuous type. They try to have a supply available, but perhaps it's their rules around buying that are keeping the selection low. Expect to find little to nothing if you're a 32 pants size or up, or are gifted in the chest area. Interior and name are cute, but this store is no longer for me. 2 stars because you can actually find a deal here, but only if you fit their parameters. Good thing for the Bins, because I don't know how Strawberry Mountain procures anything from anyone. read more

Sometimes you'll get lucky and find Common Projects for 80% off. That's what happened to me. The storefront isn't overwhelming and you can sift through the stores in a matter of 10-15 minutes. You might stumble across a gem and you might not. I call it the treasure hunt much like when you go into a TJ Max and get a ridiculous haircut off the price. My pink common projects were in the shelf and just needed to be dusted off. That was it. It barely feels broken in and for that, you should pop in every so often.. you never know what you'll find! read more

I attempted to sell some fine vintage garments today and I'm struggling for the word to describe the experience: highhanded? rude? mercenary disrespectful? The best word would have to be "soulless." I watched as the buyer brusquely rifled through carefully preserved items from the 40's and 50's, handing her selections to her assistant who immediately snapped tags into the garments BEFORE the transaction was agreed to. When the offer was made, it was lowball. When I objected to the way the transaction was unfolding they ripped the tags out and tossed the now damaged garments on the counter. It was difficult watching my deceased wife's things treated that way. Do not attempt to sell anything that you value to Strawberry Mountain, they do not value sellers in sharp contrast to the stores on Broadway that I have dealt with so far. read more

I am the owner of a very well known boutique in Boulder, Co. I booked a selling appointment with Strawberry Mountain for my 7th time on 08/15 to give Nadia a gift. When I walked in I let a female in the front know I was disabled and asked if I could be seen earlier. I was told no and respected the answer. Consequently. I asked her who the "buyer" would be, due to the fact that I was expecting to see Nadia. I was answered ungraciously by Daniel. Daniel stated she was the manager. When I tried talking to another employee whom I recognized, Daniel told me to get out! I asked her why she wanted me out & she said it was my tone of voice??? Wow. There were customers present!!! I highly advise her higher up needs to clarify her role and her responsibilities to ensure that expectations are aligned. Her behavior and unprofessionalism was beyond astonishing!! I would absolutely not accept having an employee treat any customer of mine the way she treated me. read more

This place is very cute. They have everything, not just "high end brands" and are very friendly. very decent prices. I bought a very cool long navy wool coat for 75$ and a few sweet t-shirts. They have a collection of shorts and dresses and t-shirts at the moment. More women's then men's clothing, but I think that's just the way it is in most thrift stores. read more

Nestled into the beautiful Santa Fe Art District lays a magical place - a place filled with fun colors, patterns, and people. The store owner, Nadia, is absolutely lovely and remembers both mine and my partner's (Ari) names every time we've gone in. Some of my most prized items hail from this shop - vintage Adidas Tennie's, a slick USA Ski-Team North Face, a pair of beautiful black Dickie's Slacks; the list goes on and on!
