The selection is a bit limited when I visited the establishment because they are fairly new from what I was advised. I came in around 5pm on a Friday looking for a pair of running shoes and it was not busy inside at all. Tip: When you enter the parking area you get a ticket for paid parking. This can be validated in the running store! The staff was helpful. The employee at the cash register greeted me as I walked in and immediately asked if they could help me. It was simple and quick for me since I knew exactly which shoe I was coming in for, the Brooks Ghost 13. They have a ton on sale displayed on a table which was super convenient for me. The staff helped me try on different sizes and colors. They gave advice on fit and even brought out a pair of Hoka shoes I was curious about but not serious about buying that day. I bought a pair of shoes from here in Jan 1 (3.5 weeks ago) and the material is starting to tear in an odd area so I brought them back within the 30 days return/exchange period, forgot the receipt at home and he said he couldn't find it under the name they were purchased so I had to go back home and get the receipt. I came back right away with the receipt and they found it "ironically " under the name that I gave them. Then they said that the material that is tearing does not fall under their guidelines of a valid reason for a return. So they wouldn't even exchange them. What pisses me off is that the first person could've said, hey we can't exchange them, rather then say go get the receipt and we can take care if you. The second guy offers to validate my parking ticket, which is funny because the original person 30 minutes before did not offer to that. Clearly their employees do not have the same customer service skills. I will not shop here again, there are plenty of other local retailers out there. read more

I thought surely the Boulder Running Company would have the Boulder-based brand in stock, but I was disappointed to find that they did not. One of the employees I spoke with hadn't even heard of it! I'm always afraid of walking into a store where the clerks are specialist/experts and I'm not - probably because of a nightmarish condescending mechanic I had for years. Alas, I sucked it up took my oversized slender feet into a shoe store ready to throw down serious cash for a multi-year investment of proper running shoes. Maybe luck of the draw and maybe not, but Josh was amazing. He gave me some quick diagnostics and asked a few questions and didn't even flinch about my NBA foot size or roll his eyes at how much I didn't know about shoes. Ask for Josh. TL;DR: pretty good chance you'll feel like an inconvenience. Better options in Denver include: BPRUNCO in edgewater, Runners Roost dead east of here on colorado. Tons of experience at all three, only ever made to feel like a jerk at fleet feet. The employees at fleet feet made me feel inconvenient and, frankly, like an a**hole for a mistake made by one of their coworkers. I went in on a weekend to order a garmin watch. They didn't have that one in stock. I asked if they could order it and, because packages are sometimes stolen at my house, if I could ship it to the store. The employee said sure, that they don't usually do that but that it wouldn't be a big deal. Order placed. That Wednesday my shipping notification says the watch has arrived. Dope! I go to pick up the watch. There's a young guy at the front desk, tell him I'm there to pick up a watch for Tyler. He proceeds to tell me they don't receive orders for customers as if I had somehow decided on my own initiative to order a watch to their store. I ask if he can look in the back for it. Reluctantly and begrudgingly with a substantial air of "well this effing inconvenient" he says he will. Cool, now I feel like a dick for buying a watch from them. Shockingly; the watch isn't back there. He then proceeds to explain their entire shipping procedure to me, informs that is the reason they don't order things for customers. I ask when I can pick up my watch, he says "I don't know. Someone will go through the stuff back there eventually and then you can get your watch. I'd say come back next week." He tells me again, this is why they don't order things to the store for customers. Again, as if I had just unannounced and unprompted shipped it to the store. He doesn't offer to email his manager, take my number done and call me when I they get it, or even leave a note. Only I'm sorry man, this why we don't do that. Cool. I'm out of town until Tuesday. On Wednesday morning I get a call from who I presume to be the store manager, Veronica. The message begins with "we have a watch here for you. We don't usually take orders here for customers." Oh, I get it...and apparently I'm the one that offered to have it shipped there. The message continues, your watch has been here for a while, so I'm going to issue a return for it if we don't here from you." A) it was there for less than a week, b) it's a tiny watch, that takes up no space, c) I already tried to pick it up, though I guess no one passed that info along. I return her call. I'm immediately told that this is against policy and she explains the shipping procedure to me. I hold back from telling her that a curly haired bro had already informed me how inconvenient this was for them. I tell her I'll have the watch out of their way by that afternoon. I've only been here twice. The first time I was coming to buy some gels. I grabbed what I needed and waited at the counter for over 10 minutes while an employee chatted with his friend who had come to the store to hang out. The second time, I made an online appointment because I wanted to buy some carbon-plated marathon shoes ($250+). I booked the appointment two days in advance for 9:30am. I arrived to find that the store was closed and does not open until 10:00am. I did not have time to wait outside until they opened, so I left. I wish they didn't allow me to make an appointment for a time the store wasn't open. But even so, they could have called to tell me so I didn't make the trip for nothing. I have to update based on past experiences here and the fact that I was sold a running shoe that I really shouldn't have been. On my first visit in April I went in to purchase Hoka's. The saleswoman helping me had me jump on the treadmill to just watch me run in the said pair of shoes. I never had a full on gait analysis here and thus she sold me a $150 pair of Bondi 4's. Fast forward two months and I come back to purchase some Hoka trail shoes. The gentleman who helped me was assertive (thank goodness he demanded I do a gait analysis) because I told him "I'm looking for a trail shoe with lots of cushioning as my other pair hurts my arches and feet pretty bad". Well he recognized right away that I likely needed a more supportive shoe and had me to some toe-touches, squats, and a full gait analysis in a dummy shoe to analyze my gait. Come to find out I am an overpronator and needed to be in a stability shoe. This explains so much as to why my feet/arches were always hurting me. I could not believe this and almost argued with the poor guy because I was JUST in here less than 2 months ago and sold a highly cushioned shoe for neutral pronation and told I looked good in them running. Obviously the job this gentleman did was extremely thorough whereas on my first visit I was essentially just sold an expensive pair of shoes. He spent about an hour with me bringing model after model to me and I went with another pair of Hoka's - this time the Conquest - and am very pleased with them. He ran the gait analysis on each respective pair of shoes so we could see the correction they were making to my gait. This level of detail is highly appreciated. Especially when I take my feet and running very seriously. Other issues I have with this store (and all Boulder Running Company locations) is that their online store - where people can purchase you a gift card online - is Jackrabbit.com and gift cards from here are not intended to be used in the brick and mortar stores. This was told to me directly from sales associates on multiple occasions. So buyer beware! Jackrabbit.com is an absolute horrendous site - they do not even know their own promotions here as I called in to speak with a representative and she had no clue what I was talking about in terms of the promotion I received via email. She then told me she works for The Finish Line. That would explain the large gap in knowledge. read more

Came here the other day to grab some much needed new socks. Knew things would be different due to covid, but this was by far the worst shopping experience I've had since things have started reopening. They're limited to 10 people in the store, not sure if that's their choice or by the govt but it's insane. The line out front was huge and took forever because of course people are trying on shoes and that takes a while. The store was completely empty even with the 10 people shopping there, it was insane. However that wasn't my biggest issue. I walked in and was coldly greeted by one of the employees who asked what I was looking for. He walked us back to the socks and acted completely uninterested when I started asking questions. He was incredibly unhelpful. But the worst is that he wouldn't let me touch the socks at all due to "the virus". I went to feel a pair because I wanted to see how thick they were and he immediately snapped at me that I couldn't touch anything and had to let him know if I wanted something. How am I supposed to buy socks without being able to feel them at all? And the way he snapped at me was incredibly rude. That combined with his disinterest/annoyance with us made it a miserable experience. I should have left but needed socks so I took a guess and got a few pairs. Turns out a few are not what I was looking for, which I would have known if I was allowed to feel them in the store. Now I'm going to have to return them, but who knows if they'll let me do that even. If you're not going to let customers feel the athletic gear they are interested in purchasing before doing so (out of all the clothes these are probably the most important to get a feel for how thick/smooth/fitted etc they are) you should not be open. This was such a miserable shopping experience, especially compared to the Nordstrom I had just been at where I tried on clothes and shoes and was able to touch everything I was interested in and was assisted by friendly, helpful associates. I will absolutely not be returning to this location and if this is the new company policy for a while, I will find somewhere different to shop. read more

When I asked you where the rest are located, you showed me and then disappeared. Thankfully I found the LARGE RIGHT brace I needed. Good thing I didn't need to measure myself for a proper fit... Dear cashier girl, I asked if you could call the Arapahoe BRC store to see if they had another brace in stock. You disappeared. I was on my lunch hour so when you returned, I decided to just buy one and I'll call the other store later today. Please don't "chhhhaaaa" at me and roll your eyes when I say I don't need a bag. My husband and I came here on Friday night, I am not sure the time but I think it was pretty close to closing. We went in looking for a pair of New Balance Minimus shoes....he's been wearing these for years. We were looking at shoes on the wall searching for them and no one bothered to help us. In fact, 2 female employees were standing right by us chatting and didn't say anything...we were looking around for at least couple minutes. Then we asked one of them finally if they had the shoe, she said she didn't know & went & asked. We saw her talking to someone but she never came back to give us an answer & still no one ever came to help us. We were about to walk out when we saw the shoes on the discount rack. Another employee, Mike Pincus, started talking to us and eventually recommended a different type of shoe and helped us for about 2 hours!!! He even stayed about 1.5 hrs after closing. He was super knowledgeable about shoes and was great to talk to. I am a podiatrist and definitely could tell that he knew his stuff. I would recommend seeing him for help with purchasing the correct shoe for your foot as well as any other recommendations for running etc. He provided some great info on other products as well. Plus he helped several other people while simultaneously helping us. This guy was so awesome!!!!! We would give him 1000 stars if we could. They also have a treadmill with force plates that you can sign up to do which is a great idea for evaluating foot type & proper shoes. they also have a fun hydration 'bar' to let you try out different products. Overall it seems like a good store, but I think some of their staff needs some help with customer service. Again I would go see Mike for a shoe fit. read more

We stopped in to purchase new running shoes and 1) were not greeted upon entrance to the store and 2) upon reaching the shoe section were greeted by not one (1) but two (2) disinterested employees. They asked if they could help us, we replied we were looking for new running shoes & they promptly informed us they had "plenty" and walked away. We roamed the store with absolutely zero (0) personnel asking if we needed assistance, walked up to the entrance/exit and noticed the same staff members chatting with each other at the register & didn't even bother to acknowledge us exiting. 14 minutes to buy new shoes. I walk and do not run as I am always carrying scissors. They have a large (overwhelming?) selection. Everyone was helpful and friendly. My only nit is that if I had been asked -- what shoes do you have now and do you like them? -- the entire process could have been shortened to 7 minutes. In the spirit of full disclosure, I don't run. Unless I'm being chased. Yet I've never had great workout/walking shoes so someone recommended I try BRC. I got to the back of the store without a single "hello" and then wandered aimlessly until someone finally acknowledged me. He asked if I needed shoes (yep...that's why I'm in a shoe store) and I said I'd need some recommendations. Clearly this was too much to ask...with an eye roll I was turned over to another sales guy. He pulled a few shoes. Barely said a word and acted like I was pulling him away from something very important. While other customers were chatting it up, walking on treadmills and getting a "gait analysis" my guy looked like he'd just lost his puppy. And if he did, that's awful. But I'll be searching for a new place to find my shoes. read more

Recently made my first trip in here and I was really pleased with their setup and service. They have a couple of treadmills so the staff can study your gait, but they also record you with iPads so you can actually see what's going on for yourself which I thought was pretty cool. I did have to wait a bit for some help, but that didn't bother me as I knew being fitted takes time and I noticed they were really diligent and taking their time with each customer which was nice. They unfortunately didn't have my size in the shoe I needed, so I ultimately got it elsewhere, but I was really happy with the whole fitting experience. Great customer service. They seem to have a sale section tucked away in the back corner of the store that would be worth checking out. I'm also eager to check out some of their clothes. My husband and I have been to the Cherry Creek store twice. Both times we received poor customer service. My husband runs marathons and buys a lot of shoes. Yesterday, my husband asked the sales associate to bring out a specific shoe(will refrain from mentioning the brand) in size 9. The guy brought 2 boxes of shoes, set the boxes down, and walked away. One of the boxes was the wrong size. I was interested in purchasing a pair of shoes and some gear. The fellow who was waiting on me seemed knowledgeable. While he was assisting me, other customers came into the store. He began waiting on another customer and didn't return. I was in the store before the other customer. I could order the shoes online but I'd rather walk into a brick and mortar store. Perhaps a system of taking a number when you come into the store to try on shoes would be helpful and fair to the customer. Customers should receive a friendly greeting soon after entering the store. Staff could ask right away if the customer needs assistance and if they are looking for anything in particular. Sometimes customers would like to simply look around. When it comes to needing assistance with trying on shoes, I believe that most customers understand-first come, first served! In our experience shopping here, we wandered around the store for too long without being acknowledged or asked if we needed any help. read more

I bought new balance shoes yesterday. The sales associate who analyzed my gait was friendly; however, I have to admit, I did not buy the shoes due to his recommendation. He felt he understood my needs within observing literally 2 steps if my walking gait. He then picked out various running shoes and placed an insert into one of them that was supposed to help with pronation. Thinking he placed it in the right shoe, he tried to tell me it was helpful by showing me a video which he felt proved my right foot was more stable than my left because of this insert. I did not notice any difference on this video and informed him that, in fact, the insert was in the left shoe. I think he felt rather embarrassed, so I did not give any further feedback at the time. I will say though, I bought the new balance shoes from the clearance rack simply because they felt good and were on sale. I would not have trusted his judgement. I hope he may take this experience as a learning opportunity and work on his gait analysis. In order to prevent bias, I may suggest he practice blind analyses so he does not know which shoe holds the insert. read more
