Someone also had summery clothes laid out for people to take as needed. Made me smile. We passed a cool play structure for small kids in the shape of a honeycomb/hive, with chairs on the side for parents to rest and watch. The efforts of Denver to revitalize their downtown appear to be paying off. I would hang out there more if we lived nearby (between heading out to Golden or the Red Rocks Amphitheater;)). Worth visiting!

Every time I have visited the 16th Street area, I am always completely underwhelmed. They have some chain restaurants and stores and there are at leave some food options available but absolutely feels like something I would get in the car to go see. I mean they have some little displays with Denver sports legends (like Elway and Sakic) which is kind of cool, but again, there is nothing here to actually get excited about. Also, by 9 pm this place seems to turn into a ghost town. That really surprised me on both visits as well. In my opinion, you could walk through this area one time, take some pics and be done with it. So much space and nothing memorable about most of it. 2 stars.

Awesome…read morelocation being right across from Coors Field, parking might be a bit painful since it seems to be only street parking, but not a big deal. Visiting from norcal, they made sure not only I got the info I needed for the store sales and such but also some local things to do while I'm here.

Coming from Houston, I saw this collection, I have a local artist in Houston who was missing this NASA one for his collection. I took these 3 photos to send to him to see if he wanted me to buy it and bring it to his studio. The guy working the counter, loudly and in a very azzhole tone yelled at me in front of other patrons that they don't allow photos to be taken. I explained that it was being sent to a collector that will more than likely want me to pick it up for him out of Houston, guy again yelled at me. I asked how do they sell to people from out of town if you can't take a photo to which he responded "you can Facetime them... you don't have to shop here if you don't want to". He yelled that statement 3 times back to back to back... so I took his advice and went up the street and spend my money elsewhere. Avoid this place like the plague. It's a chain store with shytty employees with shytty attitudes. This happened on Thursday March 28, 2024 at around 5:00pm.

The size is massive compared to all the other locations we have visited. Also the usage of this building is done very well to allow REI the space they need but also to showcase the architecture too. They also have a massive 45-47 foot indoor rock climbing wall that will catch your eye for sure. They have all the outdoor and camping, skiing, snowboarding, biking and more gear you would expect. It feels truly endless and like it keeps going on and on. It is broken up into well-segmented sections based on the items. Prices may not be the cheapest but things do seem to be higher quality so it does make sense. Staff were welcoming and did offer help a few different times. A highlight that I don't believe I have found at my local location was on the third floor with items that have been returned and are on sale by a good margin. They are also well labeled explaining why they have been returned so you will know any defects. I bet you can find some great deals up there! Worth checking out if you like outdoors gear/clothing and want to see a large REI.
