My daughter was physically assulted by a teacher and this school did nothing and still employs her!
If i could i would give them -5 stars. The lack of care and attention to students is insane... my daughter was being bullied by other students and i came in personally to speak with the dean and principle for 4 weeks straight regarding my concerns. My daughter had repeatedly told school personnel that she felt UNSAFE. Finally the 4-5th time i had about had enough it was obvious the school had done nothing to address the bullying. I briefly mentioned getting the police involved bcuz it was getting really bad. My daughter was trown into a locker, physical objects thrown at her multiple times, and her new Nike shoes were stolen... i went to pick her up one afternoon and 3 girls were surrounding my daughter outside ready to jump her. I was and still am angry at the fact that the school was taking this so lightly. A few days after this incident a substitute teacher physically assalted my daughter by slapping her across the face.
I went to the school immediately upon being notified and picked up my daughter. I had asked for the reports from when i was coming in reporting the bullying and the 5-6 hrs of conversations i had with several different school employees. No reports were given. They didnt even document my safety concerns. My daughters wellbeing was not even a concern for them.
2018-2019 school year. This school has no lunch room they serve jailhouse bagged sack lunches and were not ready to take on any students this year. The school staff doesnt even follow their own mission statement and clearly need more training... period!
When i told the dean I would be contacting Denver Public schools to tell them what was going on.. A dean of students LAUGHED IN MY FACE! And said to me.... " its ok, go ahead... dps isnt going to do anything."

I went to fill out an administrative transfer to move my daughter to another schooln and was pulled into an office by a school counselor. At first she sounded concerned like she really wanted to help, and about 15 minutes later while i was talking to her school police safety showed up. I was not even thinking anything just kept talking to the lady about what was going on with my daughter. Then the principals and 2 other ladies came i followed by 2 officers from dencer police dept. Wow... the police were even confused as to why they were called nothing was wrong. It was an initmidation tactic and i was not amused. It made me angry to think that someone can easily pull stunts to try and bully or intimidate someone to get them to submit. If this is how they do business or treat parents who have concerns... something needs to be done. My daughter was wronged and they are getting away with it.
1 week later which was last friday to be exact. I recieved a letter in the mail. Addressed to my mother who is only listed on my daughters paperwork as an emergency contact. On the envelope you can tell they put an address label with my moms name over my name. I opened it and it is a truancy notice... i have been trying to get my daughter into another school for 3.5 weeks with no help from DPS. Everytime i try to move her the principals get together and talk before even looking at my daughters CLEAN school record. And deny her, but send me a truancy notice addressed to the emergency contact in my daughter file? And not her mother?... this school plays games and knows they are wrong.
