Disappointed on several fronts…read more We purchased an overpriced ($1880) Bertch bathroom vanity cabinet. The unit arrived with several significant manufacturing defects. I was told that a replacement unit would take at least six weeks to arrive. Not choosing to wait I repaired the defects and had to negotiate a partial refund directly with the manufacturer. Lesson learned: Just because it's expensive doesn't mean it's well made. On two occasions I picked up multiple products at the loading dock. After an exhaustive one-by-one check I found that several items on the delivery ticket were not in fact provided. Lesson learned: Check everything carefully or you will make multiple trips back to the store. Most disappointing, we purchased an undermount sink for the vanity top. After a lengthy discussion with the sales rep. regarding the exact size we wanted, the sink was delivered to us and we sent it to the granite fabricator. When the countertop was delivered and the sink installed, we learned that the sink was smaller than the unit we discussed and selected. We had to purchase a new sink and fabricate a second countertop for $870. Plimpton accepted zero responsibility for the error and would not even refund the $151 for the incorrect unused sink because we did not have the original packaging. (This is after spending more than $12,000 on bathroom fixtures.) Lesson learned: Do not trust that what you communicated and selected will be accurately ordered and delivered. Check everything carefully. We will not use Plimpton for our remaining fixtures, and for the reasons above we do not recommend them to prospective customers.

In short, They run like a small business that cares about its customers. Our last two purchases had defects from the manufacturers. ! item was a Fisher & Paykel refrigerator where the water dispenser stopped functioning after one year. Shore TV got the manufacturer to replace the item with a new one and even threw in the $70 water filter replacement. The unit had been incorrectly insulated and evidently the water line was frozen by Fisher & Paykel running it too close to the freezer. The second item was a GE induction range. The unit was DOA on arrival as the oven kept shitting off. It was going to be several weeks to get a replacement and Shore TV had already removed our old stove. We would have been out of luck but Shore TV offered (and we took them up on it ) to provide a temporary replacement stove (electric and basic) until the part for the GE came it. While I skeptical that replacing a part on a new stove was not a great idea (I wanted a brand new one), Shore assured me the item would be correct when they got the part. It was . They were extremely accommodating by getting us a stove to use until the replacement part came in (3 weeks) . I am only concerned now because they have combined with a company called Hallocks and their Yelp rating is poor at best.

The person responsible at BBS NEVER returns my messages or replies to my emails. Others at the store have told me my parts are on order and the guy responsible will update me, but he never does. It's a terrible customer experience; really terrible. As of now I am out $250, still need repairs, and am getting absolutely no proactive communication from BBS. If I could have gone elsewhere for service, I would have.

I just had a delivery of drop ceiling materials dropped off at our house…read more I immediately went outside to request if they could place the materials in the grassy area on the other side of the driveway and to not block the garage. Chris from EH Builders Supply asked where the materials would be used where I told him in the basement. He said if they could open the windows, they would be willing to just place the materials directly into the room via the windows and garage. How awesome. Everything was neatly place into our room in a matter of 10 minutes and they were well on their way. Chris was friendly and personable, a pleasure to work with. Thank you!

After we closed on the house they provided a bill to our builder with a different cost. We had to pay the builder since he had already paid for it, though when I tried to clear up the manner with the supplier he refused to acknowledge the previous quote then threatened me and informed me there was nothing I can do and no lawyer would help in this manner and I am out of luck. I felt like I was treated so unfairly and robbed out of what should have been a wonderful experience. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM!
