    This is where they put my old refrigerator. I later pushed it by myself to the basement.

    I am so disappointed with my most recent purchase. I bought a GE Profile Series refrigerator on June 5th and it was not available for delivery until last week. They delivered it on Saturday but it had a huge dent on it so they took it back. On Tuesday two different service guys delivered the new refrigerator. While it had no dents, the guys were thugs! First thing they did was tell me that since they were not taking away my old refrigerator, they would not make any money on selling it and so I needed to give them a $15-20 tip. Then I showed him where it was to be put in my basement. Next he looked at the water hook-up I had for the refrigerator and told me I needed a new pipe. I said I did not because the copper pipe I had worked fine. He was insisting that it was broken and called his boss. So he waited outside while he heard back from his boss. This guy's next complaint was that there were five steps up to my front door. I insisted that he needed to hook the refrigerator to the pipe I had. He then got more irritable and rude. He said he would not take my old refrigerator to the basement and he left it on my front lawn. After I signed the paperwork and he was on his way out, I was planning to give him a tip despite his rudeness, but only if he did the job I paid for which was to move the old refrigerator to the basement. I said, "so are you going to move the old one to the basement?" He said, "no." I said, "ok, thanks." He said, "That's how you are going to thank me?" I was alone in my how with my daughter and this guy became more and more threatening. I made my daughter stay in her room. I was concerned about these guys. I had my phone in my hand, ready to call 911. My final words were "don't you fight with me in my house," and he left. I called my salesperson at PC Richards, Irving, and while he was sympathetic, he kept saying let me call you back. I will look into it. He never did. I spoke with his manager, Wahid Zahidy. He was indignant, arrogant, and condescending. He acted as if I did something wrong. He said, "I'm not there. I am in the store doing sales. I can't see what they are doing (referencing the delivery guys). " I spent $3500 on this refrigerator and this is how I got treated. I have to say, I will never buy from the North Haven P.C. Richards as long as Wahid Zahidy is there.

    Art's Television & Appliance: A Masterclass in Incompetence and Disregard…read moreLet me preface this by saying, if you enjoy being strung along for weeks, paying for their mistakes, and having your concerns dismissed with a casual "yeah, yeah," then Art's Television & Appliance at 92 State Street, North Haven, is the place for you. My ordeal began on February 13, 2025. My air conditioning/heat unit knob broke. The manager, to his credit, spent 45 minutes trying to find a replacement part online. When that failed, we discussed a Friedrich PTAC unit. He wasn't sure of the fit, so he scheduled an appointment for his installers to check my condo on February 22nd. Then, Bill Bower, the salesman, decided he knew better. He canceled the appointment, claiming the PTAC would fit because they'd sold others in my complex. I paid $1,170 for the unit, which was installed on March 1st. The installers then informed me I needed a duct adapter for the adjacent bedroom. They claimed they ordered it, but Bill was clueless. Another trip to the store, another $478, and a $300 installation fee for their error. I emphasized the urgency; a newborn lives in that room. Bill promised "rush shipment, a week." March 8th: No part. "Another week," they said, rushing me off the phone. March 15th: Same story. "Yeah, yeah," Bill said, dismissing my concerns about the baby. April 1st: A different rep said it shipped via truck, not tractor trailer, adding another week or two. Bill then called, reminding me of the $300 installation fee. It's April 3rd, 2025. SEVEN WEEKS. I started this process in winter, and I'm still without the part. They haven't offered to waive the installation fee, despite their blatant incompetence. They don't care that a newborn is living in a cold room. They don't care about customer service. They don't care that they cancelled the 2/22/25 appointment that would have prevented this whole mess. To recap: they canceled my appointment, forcing me to pay for an additional installation fee, they have lied about shipping times, they have dismissed my concerns about a newborn child, and they have shown zero remorse. I'm a resident in the complex and I will be sure to inform the board meetings about this horrendous customer service. Avoid Art's Television & Appliance at all costs. This review is to be continued, as I fully expect this to drag on even longer.

He was so through and knowledgeable with Every appliance and made it easy for us to choose what we needed. Took every phone call we had and didn't hesitate to assist when we had questions. If you are looking for a great place to buy appliances Art's Appliance is the one.

The few folks I did see at the other place neither greeted me nor even so much as smiled at me. Then I went to this Lowe's and the employees were super friendly and helpful. Though that was in the past. The most recent time I went to this Lowe's, there were hardly any employees working. One looked right at me and didn't say a word or even smile. I went to check out and there was literally no one working the checkout lines. I must say I did notice a sign while walking in that said they were hiring and suggested filling out an application inside...so I suppose they were short staffed. I ended up going to the service/returns desk and the employee (who had not acknowledged me or smiled at me minutes earlier) was then very friendly and helpful, offering no protest when I told her I was there (at the returns desk) to purchase an item. Not only have I had better luck at this Lowe's virtually every other time I've been here in the past, but their prices are cheaper than the other guys! I suppose that, at the very least, will keep me coming back. Hopefully next time they will be more adequately staffed.
