Pizza Passport stop for our pizza group. We had 14 this time around. The weather could have been an issue, so we snagged tables inside. The outdoor seating is great with about 4 extra-large picnic tables, two of them covered by tents. Inside there are bar seats, window counter seats and about five tables with a bench side and two stools at each table. We took up three of the tables, there were a couple people outside and the bar was full. There are menus available and QR codes to scan on the tables. Signs on the wall indicate the Beers on tap and cocktails. The monthly specials are on a sign at the register; this is also where you place your order. We were one of the first there, so I ordered a Mezcal cocktail called The Wanderer, it was pretty good. I am on a Mezcal kick right now. I also ordered the Fried Artichokes with marinara. I also wanted lemon and that has to come from the bar. Others arrived and everyone got drinks, appetizers, and salads. The house salad looked so good I ordered one, too. It's a lively spot, all the art on the 'Gallery' wall is for sale. The pizza names are famous artists, we were all having fun. Everyone started ordering their pizza, I believe they can only do a few at a time but when you are hanging with your friends and eating good food, time goes by quick. We decided on the Lichtenstein aka pepperoni and the Frida Kahlo, Arrabbiata sauce, mozzarella, chicken, jalapeno, and bacon. Both were delicious! Staff is efficient, the waitress bringing out the pizza was friendly, she was here on our last visit. They were busy and the other staff were nice and focused on the job. We felt like these pizza choices were great, we really enjoyed them.

Since the Cardinal game sucked yesterday we left at the bottom of the 5th.... We decided since we were over in the downtown town area we hit up Gallery Pub (Tower Grove/Shaw neighborhood) and used our Pizza Passport... This is a Cute little neighborhood Bar/Pub. Inside/Outside seating available (sat outside yesterday) Full Bar.. the menu consists of Pizza/Appetizers/Salads/ and desserts!!!! It also looked like Live Entertainment as well! We got the Francis Bacon Pizza! This pizza was very good!! pepperoni and Bacon. A few drinks to wash it down. Service was good.. you ordered at the bar! I would love to go back and try a few other things... especially the Boozy Ice Cream Scoop!!!

A fun, upbeat neighborhood bar! Good pizza and a decent drink selection. They have a nice patio with large tables which can be hard to find. Would recommend their pickle pizza for any pickle lovers, clearly the group ate almost all of it before I could take a photo!

Great pizza and atmosphere. Perfect for families. Gallery pub has an outdoor area with a TV.

Had dinner here tonight. The staff was friendly. One of the girls was new and just learning. The beer was good. We ordered a pizza and it was pretty good. About average. The taste was good, but the size was a bit on the smaller size. Kind of just enough for two people or three people that's not very hungry. Great patio outside if you wanna bring your dog along, it is dog friendly. They also have some nice artwork on the wall that is for sale.

. I'll start off saying this was not our first time at this restaurant So when we received the poor service it was a shock. My family and I came over from tower Grove park With the intention of getting our daughter a scoop of ice cream while we waited for a Pizza. We placed our order at the bar and Let the woman know that we needed the ice cream first to keep our child occupied while we waited for the food. She wanted a credit card while we waited for our food, We did not order alcohol So there was no reason for a tab, And I've never had to put down a card to order food before. I told her I was paying with cash and then they wanted us to pay for our food before we ate. I could see prepaying if you were sitting outside but We were sitting at the table Inside directly across from the bar. After about 10 minutes my husband got up to check to see if they were going to bring out our daughter's ice creamAnd the bartender got snippy and said it was on its way. 10 more minutes passed and then the ice cream and pizza We're delivered to the table at the same time. The woman with a big smile on her face Asked if we were good, I said this kind of defeats the purpose of ordering the ice cream to come out before the pizza now my kids not going to eat. And then she just shrugged her shoulders and walked off. We finished our meal and at no point did anyone stop by to see if we needed anything, To see if the food tasted alright or to see if we wanted to order anything else.... Never felt more unwelcome in a neighborhood bar, Especially at one we've dined at Before. Such a shame, we always come here after events in the park I guess we'll have to find somewhere else to Go From Now On.

We cane here for a pre wedding rehearsal family get together hosted by my daughter's fiancés family on Thursday. Because it was so hot they put up some canopy tents and fans outside as we had a pretty large group. As usual the pizza and salads were great and they were just so accommodating to our group. They helped with allergy concerns, kept bringing pizza and drinks and just did a great job. Nothing but great things to say and thanks for taking such great care of our large group! And thanks to the future in-laws for inviting us along! My only regret was I was too busy to look at the current artwork this time...

Hidden gem alert. Chef knows what he's doing. Friendly staff. This is one of the best calzones I've ever had. Everything tasted so fresh and amazing. Atmosphere inside is great too nice tvs and artwork throughout.

great neighborhood pizza and beer spot. they have rotating art on the wall that i love looking at (often the art is very reasonably priced for purchase!) they have live music all the time and trivia tuesdays which we love coming to (great vibes with lots of regulars) their pizza is great with build your own options and ALSO rotating seasonal ones. i do wish they had fries bc a lot of their sharing apps are cheese based i think outdoor seating has great functional heaters so not too bad! the owners are around all the time and super friendly. (this is also my 100th review how exciting!)

Firstly, we are not from here... If the food was the only thing I was critiquing, I would have voted 5 stars. Everything was delicious! The service was... interesting. First, we walked inside because we expected to be created by a hostess. Nothing. We approached the bar and the bartender looked at us confused. Then we noticed a card outside on the tables so we figured that must have been the menu. It was actually just the beer menu. No food menus. We sat outside and after 10 minutes one of my group members walked back inside and approached the bar again, flagging down the bartender and asked for a menu. We ended up with 2 paper menus and brought them back to our table. Another 10 minutes, a very sweet waitress took our food order and shortly after that, the drinks arrived and we were able to place food orders. After the initial salad drop, we were left without and silverware and again, waited a while to flag someone down so we could stop eating with our hands. Again, the food was amazing! The (I'm assuming) head chef, came out and thanked us for dining. The pizza came out hot and fresh and cheesy. Yum! At this point we've been out of water for a while and were never asked if we needed anything. Then (who looked to be) the boss of the restaurant walks up to the restaurant. He was super friendly. Said hello to some people and starts cleaning up a table. Again, we were never acknowledged. Never asked if we need anything. We end up going inside the bar to pay our tab. Never saw the waitress who took our order again. Maybe it's just how things how there... but it was odd for someone not from the area. The staff I spoke to and/or observed all seemed very nice. I would come back again for that pizza and chicken salad boat... but probably not for the overall experience.

The atmosphere was fine--lively but not overwhelming, and it worked well for a laid-back night out. Our server was friendly and attentive, which honestly stood out as one of the better parts of the experience. Food-wise, it was just okay. We tried a mix of things--tater tots, wings (both sauced and dry), pizza, and chicken tenders. Everything was decent, but nothing really stood out. The wings had good flavor but weren't anything special, and the pizza was pretty standard bar-style. Portions were solid, though, and it's definitely the kind of place where you can find something everyone will eat. Overall, it's a good spot if you're looking for a casual, no-pressure place to hang out, watch a game, and grab some familiar bar food--but I wouldn't go out of my way for the food itself.

The only real warmth we encountered came from the female host; the rest of the staff delivered service that hovered somewhere between disinterested and "we're doing you a favor by being here." We kicked things off with the fried deviled eggs, which arrived neither fried nor particularly deviled -- just cold little reminders that hope is fleeting. Cocktails landed squarely in "General Public" territory. My Squatty Potty showed up lukewarm, like it had been loitering at the bar contemplating its life choices instead of making it to the table piping hot. A chicken Caesar salad was perfectly fine... if you enjoy playing hide-and-seek with the chicken. The breakfast burger came on an English muffin with what might be the most emotionally unavailable portion of hash brown casserole I've ever seen -- tiny, distant, and gone too soon. Then there's the Scream Burger. Marketed as ghost-pepper spicy, priced like it's the main event, and delivered with all the heat of a polite Midwestern handshake. Dry, bland, and somehow bold enough to charge me an extra dollar for more mayo -- because nothing says "premium burger experience" like a condiment upcharge to make it edible. My husband's Pork Pountine? Imagine fries sprinkled with a few bacon bits like confetti at a party nobody wanted to attend. We came in excited because Eat Crow in Soulard sets the bar high. Unfortunately, Crows Nest feels like it's cooking for someone driving in from Chesterfield who asked the kitchen to "tone it down." If you're craving the real deal, do yourself a favor: go to Soulard. This nest still needs a lot more feathers. And to the influencers calling this place "amazing" -- do better. There was a 20-30 minute wait so we found seats at the bar and ordered cocktails. Very good. Very strong. The Block is a great space. Tall ceilings, warm & inviting, perhaps a little low lighting for us challenged folks, but nice, easy to read menus made up for it. A busser brought us water and shortly behind him was Laura-Beth, (our server) with a big smile and menus. After explaining the menu, specials, and taking our drink orders she left us to think about our choices. The menu is a little limited but includes sandwiches as well as entrees including fish option.. Being a "butcher" restaurant we both opted for the ribeye, medium rare. The steak comes only with fries which I ordered while my date went for whipped potatoes. I also went for a side of spinach. We also split a Block Salad as a starter. Choosing to split the Block Salad was a good idea. It was more than enough for two. It was great version of a chopped salad with fresh greens, bacon, smoked ham, egg, house-smoked cheddar, tomatoes, red onion, dressed with just enough buttermilk dressing. Really enjoyed it and just the right amount of salad. Only criticism is not salt and pepper on the table. Probably by design but disappointing. Next came our steaks and sides. We both ordered medium-rare. Her steak was a little under but close enough. My steak was raw in the center. I should have said something but there wasn't so much it was inedible for me. Better under than over! The seasoned fries were good and the whipped potatoes very good were delicious. The fresh spinach was cooked perfect, but under seasoned. All in all, good sides. We finished with Irish Coffee and vanilla ice cream. Kudos to the staff A special thank you to our server Laura-Beth. You were spot on friendly, courteous, attentive, and made our evening great and not just good. Overall, a good place, A bit expensive but where isn't these days. Well worth a try if you haven't.
