The shop is attractive and clean. I really had high hopes for this shop based on all the great reviews. Four us went for an afternoon of a little pampering. One of us was happy, three us were disappointed. Lee did a nice job on my friend's pedicure. Kim did my pedicure and I will never go back. This was by far my least enjoyable Pedicure I've ever had. She was rough and had an attitude. I've never had my legs slapped during a pedicure. Definitely not friendly and didn't introduce herself. I've never had anyone so rude. It was so bad that about five minutes into it I wanted to ask her to stop and leave but I was with three other people and I didn't want to ruin their experience. My other two friend had manicures and were disappointed which I found out after we were all done and walking to the car. Needless to say none of will be going back. I paid $105 for a gel mani/pedi on 1/16, and within four days the polish has peeled off two nails and chipped on another. That should never happen with gel polish -- especially at this price. This is poor workmanship, plain and simple. I am requesting a refund and will not return. Very disappointed and would not recommend. read more

This was my first time going to Galaxy Nail Spa for a pedicure and it was a wonderful experience. I did not have an appointment and walked right in. I was immediately greeted by the receptionist and offered a beverage. I was given a price list to choose from a variety of pedicures. I went with a basic pedicure with gel polish. It was one of the best pedicures I ever had! My legs and feet felt so good afterwards. I can only imagine what their deluxe pedicure feels like. Staff is super attentive, professional, accommodating, and kind, and we have had several nice visits there now and received exactly the services we want done to a high standard. I'm giving this place 5 stars. First thing I noticed when I arrived was the fact that it was their 1 year anniversary by the nice sign they had outside. When I walked in, they of course decorated (as they should have). The decorations were very tasteful. Music was nice and upbeat. Loved it. The facility was SUPER clean! The staff was super friendly. My tech was the best. His name was Tony. He was very personable and made great conversation. I went out of my comfort zone and tried the new Gel X. He explained step by step what he was doing and how this is better for your natural nail bedding. I didn't just pay for a set of nails, but the education and personal experience that you don't get at most nail salons. I will 100% go back. Make sure you ask for Tony!! read more

First time going to Galaxy Nails (523 Tamiami Trail S., Venice, FL) salon on 5/4/2023. I had booked a 10:00 AM appointment for a Spa Pedicure. When I made the appointment I requested a female technician. All was good upon booking. When I arrived for my appointment the young girl at the front desk said there were no female technicians available. I stated that I requested a female at booking and she could see this in the reservation. The employee behind the front desk blamed me and said that I did not give the name of a female nail technician so I get whomever is available. I asked her "how was I suppose to provide the name of a female tech when I had never been to the salon before and don't know the names of the staff?" She continued to blame me and said that is the way the salon worked. No one explained this to me upon booking the appointment. I than said I would take someone available. I was seated at a pedicure station and waited for 20 minutes and no employee showed up. I asked why a nail technician was not coming to the station and got no response from the staff. Their actions obviously showed that they had no intention of helping me. The staff, especially, the person at the front desk, was rude and mean. I would never go back to this salon EVER, and would recommend that no one else go here either. Zero customer service skills. read more

i got a set of arcyrlics and the guy doing them was rushing really fast and my nails turned out bumpy and theres a bunch of little black hairs or fuzz under my arcyrlics on top. i payed 90 + 10 tip and i expected them to turn out good but no. the vibe was kinda weird both of the nail techs kept whispering to eachother in a different language the whole time and pointing to my nails. they guy didnt prep my cuticles and my nails lifted after a week and a half and i had to glue them back down myself but they kept lifting. read more

The last time I was at this salon I requested a specific pedicure that was $40. I was charged $55 because the nail tech didn't follow the requirements for the pedicure I requested. I was told I would receive a discount the next time I came in. That never happened. I tried to come in for a walk in appointment, which they advertise, and was told rudely that I needed to come back another time. This salon is overpriced and the employees are rude. read more

Elise will greet you with a smiling face and make sure you have everything you need and the owners are the sweetest people you will meet! First of all the wait was much longer than they originally told me it would be, secondly the prices are extremely high, compared to most other nail spas in Venice. While they kept me waiting first for 10 or 15 minutes one technician was walking around doing nothing. I kept asking. When is my turn And they had one excuse after another. I finally got out of my chair and asked about the one walking around doing nothing can she take me? They told me I'd have to wait for an available technician. They just got done telling me they were wrapping things up in the back and I was next, so which is it? My mom is a nail technician and this store uses cheap off brand polish. when I went here there were already 2 coming in to fix their their nails. That should red flag to leave. They did my gel manicure and it didnt last two but I guess that's got they get you to keep coming back to spend more money. read more
