They offered explained cutting or not cutting certain nails to keep them even with others, and did a great job. They had a HUGE selection of polish colors. The whole process took about an hour including sitting under the dryer and waiting, which is great! I think overall he did a good job and my nails don't have any obvious mistake. The not so good: I was not greeted when I came in at all. I had to find my way to the sign-in sheet and just sit. There wasn't many pleasantries--no conversation or small talk. They chatted a lot and were super friendly with the "regulars" but even when I tried to chat it wasn't well received. The worst part was that he was pretty rough with my hands and fingers. I guess he was trying to go quickly but it was even painful at times. I understand that some maneuverability is required but in all my years getting manicures I've never experienced anything like this. It was a lot of twisting my joints to get fingernails and better angles and weird wrist twisting to get to my thumbs. i have hypermobilty in my joints and even I felt discomfort. Another reviewer mentioned the roughness as well so maybe this is just something when they're in a rush. The bad didn't totally outweigh the good so I'll likely return for my fill-in unless I find something better. Being someone new to getting massages, I felt very comfortable and like I was guided through the entire experience. My masseuse was great, and I really enjoyed the experience.
