My family has a long history in Douglas. My grandmother was born their as were all of her siblings. She used to talk about the hotel. Saying how beautiful it was. So we had to stop by and take a look at the Gadsden Hotel. Since we were there, we decided to have lunch at the cafe. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich. My brother had the BLT, and my mother had the chili relleno enchiladas. We also had their poppers for the appetizer. The popper was amazing. Red pepper stuffed with cheese and lemon zest wrapped with a bacon. I suggest you try this. Now their meals are very large. My brother and I enjoyed our meals very much. My mother, however, said her chili relleno was soggy. Which may be true. Not everyone knows how to cook chili relleno correctly. The service was great, prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was spot on. Had a great day seeing the history of our family and a great meal to cap it off. read more

I was passing through Douglas yesterday and checked out The Gadsden. What a great vide, super cool, will stay in the hotel next trip through the area. I had coffee and apple pie in the coffee shop part of the cafe, and I loved every aspect of the whole experience. The atmosphere is fantastic, the coffee and pie were tasty, and the server was not only attentive but also super nice. I really enjoyed it. Next trip I will check out the main dining room. What I really like about this restaurant is it's casual but looks upscale. I almost rated it lower because I expected more because it does appear high class BUT this IS a casual restaurant. More casual menu items with prices to match but service and appearance is quality. Full bar which is nice! Gadsden poppers are a must! I don't suggest the chicken fajitas or Hamburgers as they lacked flavor but the rib eye was tasty!! It's definitely worth the stop if you're in town. They do advise you to make reservation but we were seated promptly even though they lost our reservation. read more

This was a surprisingly good lunch at this newly renovated restaurant, the former Saddle & Spur. We ordered simple entrees: the Gadsden Burger, the Mushroom Swiss Burger and the Gadsden Poppers. We ordered the Burgers Medium Rare, and they were cooked to exactly that temperature. Honestly, it had been a while since I had eaten a Hamburger that good. The French Fries were ACTUAL Potatoes likewise well prepared. The Poppers were almost a little more than we could eat because of the hefty amount of crispy bacon, but we managed to polish those off. The Menu is understandably limited, but apparently, the focus is on executing each menu item perfectly. The ambiance is a casual, understated Western elegance. Unfortunately, we felt slightly underdressed with our t-shirts and jeans, but we were made to feel very welcome. With two iced teas, the entrees, appetizer and two Chocolate Cake slices, the tab was $43. By the way, our service was perfectly paced. I am a shut in, so I was so pleased to find out that 333 delivered. It offered everything i loved. I started with biscuits and gravy, rib eye steaks dinners, spaghetti, and my favorite eggs benedict. For so long I looked forward to the weekends when I usually ordered a couple of times. I am now so disappointed. Recently the biscuits and gravy began to offer very large biscuits with watered down gravy and very little sausage. The most recent steak that I received was over cooked and missing sides. The spaghetti began lacking sauce and became hamburger with noodles. Finally, today my favorite eggs benedict left much to be desired. Not sure what happened recently but I will give on more chance on my fav eggs benedict, but it will be a long while before I try my other favorites so as to avoid the disappointments. I hope the eggs benedict will be better next week, but if not, then I will live with the loss and move on. So sad. read more

Sadly they have a new owner that the Gadsden hotel won't reveal- sounds kind of shady right? The 333 restaurant is not open 2 years ago they served a wonderful breakfast that was so good I went back almost every day. Did not eat at the Saddle & Spur Tavern but had drinks. Service was excellent, very friendly. Ambiance was just right "Sophisticated Western." If you do nothing else there, check out the lobby. I live here & am still awestruck every time! read more

Unfortunately they were closed at 2pm on a Wednesday, and when I saw the burgers started at $16, I didn't bother reading the menu any further. Had to stop at the beautiful Gadsden Hotel and decided to have dinner. It was absolutely wonderful. Had the nachos which were delicious. We both had the ribeye as an entree. SO good. Super interesting place. But the food was subpar and so was the service. Nice people but not what I'd expect in such a well known place. Very thin ribeye steak (but cooked to order) and the mashed potatoes were actually inedible. Maybe the garlic had gone bad. read more

Terrible service. I used to like this place, but it's gone down hill over the past year. It's like they don't know how a restaurant should work. They topically have one server and one person seating you. They never seem to be busy, but it always takes forever just to get coffee for breakfast. The staff seems to just disappear and we end up pouring our own coffee and getting our own glasses of water. Very disappointing because it used to be good here. We just had dinner at the 333 Café and Restaurant in Douglas, Arizona located in the Historic Gadsden Hotel. We were blown away when we walked into the newly renovated dining room. It was beautiful, welcoming, and inspired. It is the perfect place to have dinner as a couple or with your family. The food was outstanding. We ordered three ribeye plates. The steaks were cooked perfectly as were the sides. It is obvious a lot of love and care has gone into this restaurant and hotel. The owner Florencio soon came to our table to check on the service (which was A+) and to see if we were enjoying our meal. He ended up telling us the history of the hotel and about everything going on at the Gadsden today. The hotel (22 rooms) is also home to a coffee bar, a speakeasy, a tavern, and the restaurant. There are so many exciting things going on at this gorgeous hotel (built in 1911) that we will surely return. Bravo to Douglas - this gathering place is your crowning jewel. read more

This place became my dinner spot when I needed a good meal. The appetizer 333 Nachos are the best ever! I ordered the steak, loaded potato, and asparagus, every time and every time it was perfect. I enjoyed the customer service all the time. The unfortunate thing is because it's the COVID environment it was not being fully appreciated with customers. We ate in the Gadsden Hotel restaurant many years ago and remember the service as being abysmal and food mediocre. WOW has this restaurant ever changed!! Beautiful setting, great service and the food was amazing! Two of us had the Gadsden Burger and it could be the best burger I've ever eaten!! My husband had the mushroom Swiss burger and enjoyed it immensely! Fries were great! We will definitely be back!! read more

The food was OK. Waitress Jazlette was horrible though. First she forgot to put in our order for Gadsden Poppers as our appetizer, and ended up bringing them out 10 minutes after we had already started eating our entree's. She never offered refills for our lemonades, and when we asked for refills to-go, she wanted to charge us extra. Thankfully another waitress told Jazlette that they're just refills and shouldn't be charged. The thing that was the most concerning was that when we were leaving, Jazlette practically broke our plates slamming them together while she was cleaning up our table.
