Just grabbed drinks and they were good the agua fresca was super good 10/01! Menu just didn't spake any interest for me and my partner but the drinks we ordered were super good so I can attest to those!

My fiancé got their famous Chilequiles. and I got there birria empanadas.

The Food was amazing definitely would take another trip for this meal. We came all the way from Dallas and this place did not disappoint.

My guy has been recommending this place and finally took me for a weekend brunch. It was so cute! The food was very satisfying and we got to enjoy the view. It wasn't busy surprisingly and parking was easy. Lots of opportunities for photo ops throughout the restaurant too!

Server was super kind and made sure we were comfortable outside in the heat! Food was very flavorful and hot and the drinks were delicious and unique! Outdoor vibe was super cute and colorful and loved the decorations!

I used to be a huge fan of this place. But the walls are dirty and banged up with yellowing from wall unit leakage. The food is taking a long time to come out. There's flies everywhere inside, that appear to be gnats from the dead plants.

I have been wanting to go to Gabriela's for quite some time, especially because it's another one of those spots that's within walking distance from my house. Had the chance to have a holiday lunch with work colleagues at Gabriela's & wow. First, let's start with the bad: PARKING IS NEAR NON-EXISTENT. There is a small pay lot next to the restaurant that is privately owned (the restaurant has nothing to do with it). It is expensive and a mess. Not maintained well at all. The lot can hold maybe 6-10 cars (if that), and if you enter from 7th, it's kind of uphill on a little grade. It's also angled weird. And, FILLED WITH HUGE POTHOLES. My Mini scraped the bottom the whole time. What a nightmare. Luckily, I didn't have to pay to park; directly behind the restaurant are four spots for customers. I was able to grab the last open space. You know, after dragging my car through that mess. The restaurant, like many in Austin, is in an old house. A cute bungalow-style home that's decorated in a welcoming, modern, and eclectic theme. Lots of color, murals, photo op areas, etc. They've got a really nicely sized covered patio. The patio was all decked out for the holidays and looked amazing. The food was good. Like darn good. I had a side order of Mexican Green Spaghetti, and that poblano sauce hit the spot. It had a creamy and fresh flavor. I also got the Gringas quesadilla with skirt steak. It's basically a one-tortilla quesadilla flipped over. It was packed with so much gooey cheese, steak, onion, and cilantro that it was a meal in itself. The tomatillo sauce had quite a little kick and really made the quesadilla pop with flavor. The other folks I was with had two different types of enchiladas and tacos. We all really dug our food and have decided it would be a great place to become one of our regular workplace gatherings. That is, if we arrive via Lyft, Waymo, Uber, or walking. Seriously, I will go back, especially since it's only a ten-minute walk from my apartment.

I can't remember what the pineapple drink was but it was delicious!

The drinks, food and atmosphere were wonderful! We will definitely stop here on our next trip to Austin!

Food was incredible. We may have ordered too much, so careful with the appetizers, you will fill up before your food makes it. We came for brunch and the Tamarindo Lindo was MY FAVORITE!!

I always wanted to try this location because of the views. I had gone to the south location plenty of times and of course, it's much bigger. This location is very small and the wait was long but we did have a group of 10. I did call ahead of time and they still had us wait an hour. The host wasn't that friendly and I would stick to my south location when my family and friends come into town. The food is always 10/10 and we all love Birria tacos. It is a bit pricey but worth it my family from California really enjoyed this place they said it felt like they were at a day club and didn't want to leave (lol). Our server was very nice and she took her time I'm sad I forgot her name but she really made sure once she talked to us that she took care of us and got everything we needed.

City view!

The restaurant itself has a super cute porch and a great view of the city line! Inside is a little cram so I wouldn't recommend. We did a reservation the day before and had no problem getting in. Service was a little slow in the beginning but food came out extremely quick and was AMAZING! Highly recommend the queso and puffy tacos. Everyone at our table loved the homemade chips. We would have liked to know that you can't split the check per entree before hand but wasn't a problem for us; and everything is priced really well! Very kind staff and will definitely be coming back here again soon! (Even though someone stole my phone charge but it was another customer....)

Mid Gabriele's is really cute with a nice outside area to sit and eat. However the food was mid. I was there for brunch. My friends and I got the pineapple mimosa tower and it was good . My friend ordered guacamole for an appetizer and it was really tasty. I order the tipsy French toast with the birria empanadas. The guy empanadas were big , but there was not much meat in them. The meat was bland and the consommé was the most bland I've ever tasted!! The tipsy French toast was really good, I wish I had more of the syrup that was on it. Overall the food was mid. I had fun because the DJ was great. If I go again, it would be for appetizers!

Came here for dinner with my husband, another couple, and 3 children around 7:30 on a Friday night. We each paid $17 for parking right off the bat. We were sat down pretty quickly, but the music was already very loud inside. Our drink and appetizer order was taken very quickly; however, we were all taken aback by the fact there was no salsa delivered to the table. Instead you have to purchase a $5 salsa sampler. The food was ok- definitely nothing to write home about, and the service was subpar. When we got our bills we were both already had a 20% gratuity added. Probably would never come here again despite the reviews.

The service here was great! Jay was handling the bar and the outside tables and still accommodated us well without us feeling like a burden or rushed. He rang in our happy hour orders with only a few mins to spare because we'd arrived just 10 mins before it ended. From there the happy hour items came out quickly! For the entree, I ordered the enchiladas and a fish taco. The enchiladas had steak strips in them topped with a chili con queso and came with rice and beans on the side. I didn't enjoy the enchiladas, mainly because of the chile sauce (the red sauce) and also because it was pretty cold when it got to me. The sauce was a strong flavor and covered the dish, but if you like that flavor then that will be no problem! I ordered the fish taco as well because I was torn between so many items (their menu is pretty big). But I loved the taco and I hate I didn't order more. The tortilla was a great thickness, the fish was nice and flavorful with the perfect amount of crisp to it. The slaw and sauces on top were perfect, not too much or too little. I don't know that this is a place I'd come back to next time I'm in Austin, but if I do, it would be for those tacos! It's also a super cute partially indoor, mostly outdoor space. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful skyline. The decor here made us feel like we were in Miami. So if you're into aesthetics and love a happy hour and tacos, then this is the place for you.

Being that we live south, it's rare we ever venture out to the east side so I was excited to try it. We had a 6pm reservation on a Wednesday and were promptly seated at a table. We're big fans of sitting at the bar if available, so we asked to switch and it was no problem. The main reason we came to Trona was due to a pop-up happening by Foodie + Tina. Excellent handrolls, crudo and even the chicory salad was amazing. The cocktails we tried were new to the menu as of this week and came with Christmas flair. They were good but not mind-blowing. The bartenders were super nice and easy to talk to. It was really dark which is normal for a speakeasy but as another reviewer suggested, makes it difficult to read the menu. One thing I noticed was they were burning white copal and it took me immediately to Tulum, MX - smells so good! Parking was easy, in an alley nearby. It might be helpful for customers if they had signage in/near the parking lot - we were unsure if we were in the right spot initially.

They did stick to the allotted timeframe due to back to back reservations so....one drink later the bill arrived. Service was nothing of note. The other person in my party was running late and it took 10 min for someone to ask if I wanted to start without them after being sat. Of course I would! Time waits for no one. I got the Venetian spritz and it was strong...needed to wait for the ice to help dilute it and then it was tasty. Noted for next time as there were a couple other drinks that looked good. It's surprisingly hard to find places in Austin that consistently play hip-hop and R&B, so I absolutely loved the music selection. The wings and fries were really good, and the drinks were solid as well. I'd definitely order both again. One of my personal pet peeves is being served drinks in plastic cups, but since these were the discounted drinks, I'll give them a pass on that one! The venue has both indoor and outdoor areas, which I really liked. Unfortunately, the music was only playing inside for most of the event. The party started at 4 PM, but I didn't notice the manager bringing speakers outside until around 8 PM. Hopefully, they'll improve that because the outdoor area could be just as enjoyable with music. Service could also use some improvement. Ordering drinks takes quite a while, and the bathroom lines can get pretty long. I noticed approximately two bartenders inside and one outside, which didn't seem like enough for the crowd. Another frustration is having to pay just to sit down. I understand charging for reserved seating, but not everyone wants to stand for hours. This is especially inconvenient for women wearing heels, although even men get tired of standing! My biggest issue, however, is how late they advertise events. Their website often lists events from a year or more ago, while upcoming events are usually announced only a week or two in advance. As someone who likes to plan ahead, that's frustrating because I often already have other plans by then. Despite these issues, I'd definitely return! I love the music, enjoyed the food and drinks, and see a lot of potential in this venue. I just hope they improve the staffing, seating options, outdoor sound system, and event announcements.
