He is very thorough and explains my dental care and good dental hygiene. He referred me to an excellent oral surgeon when I needed more extensive care. His office staff is also excellent and very pleasant. Winnie, the dental hygienist has also been very meticulous in her cleaning. read more

I would like to extend my warmest recommendation to Dr. Cano and his exceptional staff. Upon my introduction to Dr. Cano six years ago, I was struck by the punctuality of their appointments. They are always on schedule and prepared for their patients. The clinic is spotless, and the staff is warm and welcoming, creating a comfortable environment for all visitors. Thank you Isabel and team for your kindness and exceptional service! If you are looking for the best dental care, please see Dr. Cano! They just celebrated 22 years today!! Gabriel Cano, DDS - Happy 22 years!! - General Dentistry Near Me - Sunnyvale, California

Fantastic dental experience. Only reason I left is because I moved out of state. I was with Gabriel Cano for 3 years and he and his hygienist have the most gentle hands. I used to be nervous about dental procedures but not with them, because I didn't feel any kind of pain after procedures while under their care. Can't recommend them enough. Awesome place. Thanks so much and will miss y'all! read more

There are not enough words to recommend Dr. Cano and his team! They are the perfect combination of care, kindness and professionalism! Dr Cano loves his job and patients and treats them with deep respect and care, always interested in how they are doing and explains everything he does in advance. He treats kids with the same respect, patience and kindness, my kids adore him! I barely feel pain during the procedure and Dr. Cano is very alert and sensitive to pain. Also, the admins, Ivona, Alina and Isabel are so kind and welcoming! Another thing which amazes me is that I have never had to wait and my appointment starts right on time! Overall I always feel that I am in good, warm hands and I am so lucky to have such a dentist! read more

My family and I have been going to Dr Cano's for over 15yrs. Very professional, great with kids and during this time of Covid they have gone above and beyond to make me feel safe in their office. The office safe is so friendly and helpful, I highly recommend Dr Cano. read more

Dr Cano and his team are amazing. I've been coming here for the past 12 years for various crowns, fillings, night guards (my teeth have had issues). The office is a smooth, seamless operation, the staff are personable and on top of their game. The hygienist I see, Winnie, is gentle, thorough and always stays within the time limits. Dr Cano himself is precise, observant and accurate. He only suggests necessary corrections and his work is impeccable. Thanks to this team my teeth, despite shaky genetics, are healthy and beautiful. This is an excellent establishment. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Cano for over one year now and I cannot recommend him highly enough. I am a person who gets a LOT of dental work. I relocated to the Bay Area three years ago and drifted around between really terrible dentists before finding Dr. Cano. My husband and I have both been delighted with him and his staff. He is highly skilled at what he does, has an excellent chairside manner, an immaculately clean and comfortable office, and an impeccably friendly and professional staff. I also appreciate that Dr. Cano has established a solid network of specialists. I have been as impressed with Dr. Cano's endodontist (Dr. Bruce Jesperson) and his periodontist (Dr. Perry Westbrook) as I have been with Dr. Cano himself. Every professional I have had to see outside of Dr. Cano's office has been highly skilled and they all speak very highly of Dr. Cano. I know, you're thinking, "Of course they do! He's sending them business!" If you work with referrals and networks like I do, you have a pretty good sense of when someone is "toeing the network line" versus speaking with authenticity. It is evident from the way they speak about him when asked directly (yes, I've done that) and also from unsolicited comments that Dr. Cano is well respected for the quality of his work among his peers. He is a true professional who obviously holds the best interest of his patients at heart. Seriously, stop messing around with other dentists who aren't good at what they do and treat you like an invisible person while they're working on your mouth and go see Dr. Cano. read more

He is a decent dentist, explains things, work is not bad, I got a cleaning, filling & bite adjustment done. The hours are iffy, the last appoint is at 4 pm, and the office is open 4 days a week. For kids, he recommends parent do not sit in the same area. read more

Got my Dental Cleaning done and check up. First visit. Very caring, attentive and professional staff. I am going to go for filings soon. I am impressed so far. I just moved to the bay area and am happy my research yielded good results. Dr. Cano came across as knowledgeable and thorough. He is very attentive to the patient's possible discomfort and keeps doing check-ins. I did not feel any discomfort and the cleaning was done well. The Xrays were done very thoroughly. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Cano for over 6 years; he and his staff are a pleasure (!) to visit, and I am 100% pleased with the level of service, both in the chair and in the office, that I have received. What else can you ask for from a dentist? Today I called at 8am with an emergency. They were able to fit me in on a cancellation at 9am, and by 930am I had received a filling, and consultation for a future crown. read more

I just had two fillings done by Dr Cano and am very happy with what he did. When he injecting the numbing solution he did it very slowly as to avoid pain. He kept me informed during the process and I felt very comfortable. I went to Dr. Cano for a 2nd opinion. He felt fillings would work fine for the 2 teeth. Dr Cano, using a wand camera showed me a cracked molar the other dentist missed. Dr Canno recommend a crown, but said it wasn't critical to do it immediately. read more

I've been with dr cano for years. You will be hard pressed to find a more qualified dentist. Staff is outstanding. Gets it right the first time. Quality work. read more

I found this place because of a flyer they sent through the mail. It was some kind of special for real cheap. Well the place is great, Dr. Cano is a very nice person, he is always checking to see if you are ok and if you say that something is uncomfortable he really does do his best to help you out. I remember when I went there for my crown Dr. Cano did he best to make sure the crown would match the color of my other teeth. He gave me 5 choices and after taking my opinion and the that of his staff we found one that matched perfectly. The front counter staff is extremely nice and I like that they call you to remind you about your appt not the day before but actually a couple day in advance so if you have to cancel you have ample time to do so. So if you are looking for a good dentist and a friendly and good support staff then go here. read more

I've gone to his office 5 times now over the past few years. The office staff is terrific. The office itself is clean and comfortable. I've only had Dr. Cano himself work on me once, but he was very considerate. I felt relaxed and confident with him and with the other people he has working with him. UPDATE: I've been going to him for another 3 years now, and love the place. Highly recommended! read more

My brother went here for a bridge and deep cleaning this year, and I've been in for a deep cleaning and some fillings so far. We've both been really happy with Dr. Cano and his staff. At the initial evaluation, Dr. Cano explained clearly and frankly what was going on in my mouth and what needed to be done to fix it. He was very straightforward and non-judgemental (I hadn't been to a dentist in, errr, a while). The deep cleaning, performed by a hygienist, was as pleasant as it's possible for such a thing to be. The areas where anesthesia was to be injected were well-numbed beforehand, and she did the injections slowly enough that there was only a sense of pressure, no real pain. The fillings I had done were composite; he filled six small cavities in less than an hour with no anesthetic and very minimal discomfort. He didn't seem rushed at any time and encouraged me to raise my hand if I felt pain or needed a break. He carefully explains what he's doing and why at every step of the way. The office staff and assistants are always very warm and friendly, and happy to work with you and answer whatever questions you need to get the most out of your insurance and FSA. read more

Worst dentist office ever! Went here because of all the good reviews - which now makes me wonder if they were just solicited from friends and family or real patients! I went in for a cleaning and an exam. I have 4 fillings from 5 or so years ago. Dr. Cano was really nice and showed me the fillings and explained everything in detail, maybe too much detail, he told me I should get the fillings redone as they were aged and cracking. He made it sound urgent and if I waited it would get worse and possibly become a root canal and explained that insurance coverage fillings at 90% but root canals only at 30% and root canals are much more expensive. He asked me to come back another day so I went back at a future appointment and then he told me that he cannot do the fillings as I should do crowns instead since the fillings would be too large and it would be harmful for my tooth. Something did not seem right and so I went to another dentist for a second opinion. The other dentist looked at them and told me that out of the four feelings three were perfectly fine and one had a slight chip and I should get that fixed. They re did the filling in 10 minutes and I was out of there. I would seriously caution everyone to get a second opinion or avoid this guy who is just trying to make money from insurance at your expense. read more

Most of us are not fans of dentists, but I've come to actually look forward to the days I go in for a teeth cleaning. Someone else wrote that getting your teeth cleaned here with Yolanda is like having coffee with a good friend - a claim that has proven itself true for me as well. The staff is excellent, and Dr. Cano takes the time to actually explain what he is doing and why to make sure that you fully understand. I have referred two of my housemates here and would whole heartedly recommend Dr. Cano's office to anyone who is looking for a dentist - you will not be disappointed. read more

I see Dr. Cano already for more than 13 years and do not want to change a dentist, unless my insurance change and doctor could not accept it. Dr.Cano saves my teeth as long as it could be, with placing porcelain patches and one onlay bridge, and does not push me for crowns!! Thank you Dr. Cano and Ezabell, and all staff! read more

Highly recommend! Hate going to dentists but love going to mine! Thank you Dr. Cano for making my and my family teeth healthy and white!

Making an appointment to have my teeth cleaned by Yolanda is like making a date to have coffee with a friend. She's so friendly and so extremely competent that the entire visit is a pleasure. Excess saliva is drained away before I'm even aware that it's about to become a problem. I've had my teeth cleaned by several people who work for Dr. Cano, and they've all been friendly and very good at what they do, but Yolanda goes above and beyond in terms of being an interesting person to talk with while getting the job done quickly and well. I've never needed any work on my teeth other than sealants, so my experience with Dr. Cano is brief, but his staff thinks highly of him, and I can solidly recommend someone who runs his business on respect for people. I feel respected here, and quite frankly, I enjoy my trips to the dentist. --Beth read more

Going to visit the Dentist has never been my cup of tea, but I give kudos to Dr. Cano and his wonderful staff for making my 10 years of being their patient lovely! Dentistry has come a long way! Dr Cano is a very friendly, gentle, and patient Dentist who takes the time to explain his findings and discuss what he feels the best plan of action would be. He is conscientious by checking on me and asking me if I am comfortable throughout the procedure. Dr Cano has a talent for helping to make a beautiful smile! I had chipped my front teeth when I was child, and for years, I had to use porcelain crowns which were bulky and always showed dark margins around the gum line. Dr. Cano suggested using Veneers instead. He explained the process and replaced my crowns with veneers which are so pretty and natural looking. I can say, I have a new confidence in my smile. Dr. Cano has also helped many of my "Dentist fearing" family and friends with all kinds of dental needs and the feeling is unanimous, he is a wonderful Dentist!! The office is relaxing and modern, set in a professional dental building. The whole staff is friendly and professional and I am greeted with smiles every time I go there. My fear of the dentist has disappeared long ago since finding Dr. Cano and his team who I, also, consider friends! read more

Dr. Cano has a great staff. His office is located in a building of other dentists, so if you strike out here just walk to the next door down the hall and you have got yourself another dentist. pow! Anyway, like I said he has a great staff. his hygienists are amazing, friendly and gentle! yay! Dr. Cano has worked on me a few times I went home very sore and was sore for about 2 weeks later. That was not good, but I had tooth problems, so what can you do? One warning about appointments, they charge you a re $45 fee is you don't show up or cancel within 24 hours. They are serious, so be sure to make time for them or they will charge you. read more

I have been going to Cano's dentistry since I was a child and I have nothing but great things to say about him and his staff! He does excellent work and is very gentle. He explains everything clearly and is super friendly. Unfortunately, I moved to Sacramento and although I attempted to keep seeing Cano its very hard. I am thankful for all the great work he's done and the way he has treated my family! read more

This is my second time I am trying to schedule an appointment with this doctor and this is my second disappointment. This office is oriented to rip you off instead of giving you a nice service. As a new patient they require to get an Xray done with them first, i agree its normal for all offices. I have pretty recent ones and just suggested to transfer them but assistant said: "No, you have to do it again with us." What??? Do you want to take new clients or you don't? When dental offices are talking about not necessary treatments over the phone, it means to me that they would try to pull money from your pocket as much as they can. read more

Love Dentist Cano and his entire staff. They explain everything thoroughly. What my insuarance will and will not cover. I have had emergency root canal, fillings, tooth extraction, bridge and caps done here over the years. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I am super picky A-type personality and not easily impressed. I use my insurance and flex spending to pay costs and they make it super easy for me. read more

I have always had a fear of dentists and the pain that went with it. Not anymore thanks to Dr. Cano. He is wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about him. He is gentle, informs you every step of the way and looks out for your comfort first. I feel relaxed and at ease as soon as I come into the office. His office staff is friendly and so organized. read more

Even the days when I'm just getting a cleaning by one of the hygienists, I know I'm going to feel great. I almost don't want to leave 5 stars because I want to keep Dr. Cano and his staff all to myself :) I have always feared going to the dentist, therefore when I finally talked myself into going in for a checkup, it was as I expected and I had a mouthful of dental work that needed to be done. Well let me tell you...after my experience at Dr Cano's office I can tell you I am no longer (as afraid) of the Dentist. He is very calming, walks you though everything and makes sure you are doing well during procedures. I would have given this great team 10 stars if it was an option. Hands down the best dentist I have ever had. Friendly, gentle, professional, and he takes a very personal interest in your well being. He gets to know each of his patients and remembers your likes and dislikes and even asks about your kids and job. Plus, I hate needles, and he has the best technique I have ever experienced! I have heavy molars, a thick jaw and tenacious teeth, so believe me I know how painful dental work can be. After years of dental neglect because of my issues, Dr. Cano got my teeth all fixed up, managed a steady correction program that worked nicely with my insurance, and now has my teeth on a maintenance program that is easy, pain free and quick. It was the best dental work i have ever received, hands down. Over Christmas I had an abscess that was absolutely excruciating. Dr. Cano took time away from his family to stop the pain, and then followed up with calls to make sure i was doing ok. Absolutely the best. His staff is wonderful and his office clean and nice. I can't recommend him enough. read more

We have had a great experience with Dr. Cano and his staff. Our children actually look forward to seeing the dentist (though I think the stickers and toys may have something to do with it.) He'll tell you about every last little bit of dental work that could be done. However, he doesn't push you to do anything. He does a great job of explaining the consequences of undergoing or skipping different treatment options, and helps you to plan to do just what needs to be done. The hygienists and staff are also great, and they painlessly work with dental insurance. read more
