WARNING! Asian face or immigrants are just not welcome here! During my first appointment, they took photos of my FACE with camera without my permission and my awareness, claiming it was for their records. The smile on the face of the guy who took my photo is very "informative" and definitely made me feel uncomfortable. I have been in US for 10+years and none of dental clinics take photo of my FACE rather than my teeth as medical purpose!! After the first session, their follow-up is very passive that I could never successfully schedule another appointment. Every time when my second appointment got close, they called me to reschedule. Each time, I waited several weeks just for the next appointment, only for them to call again and make me reschedule. I wasted so much time just waiting for an appointment that NEVER happened. The front desk called me with a completely unapologetic attitude, saying there was nothing they could do and that even if I rescheduled again, it could still happen and they cannot promise anything. Been going to Dr. Kliger with my whole family for 21 years now, and he and his office have been nothing but excellent. We've done everything from cleanings to crowns with them and the work is always done efficiently and done well. They worked with both of our kids from our kids' very first visits. Just had one of my crowns crack after over a decade and they squeezed me in immediately to get a temporary put. The new crown is now in place after about 2 weeks. The office always handles scheduling, insurance, and billing very well, and they're always very friendly. I've been going to Dr Kliger for ~ the past 5 years and have had great experience every time. He is a great dentist who's been in the industry for many years so I totally trust his judgement. Recently he's obtained another co-anchor at his practice Dr Yao to sustain his patients because he's made his millions over the years and often spends days on his 55-ft yacht popping bottles with Girls Gone Wild chicks. Ok maybe not but Dr Kliger is still a stud in my book. Side note: Not sure why i've had my fair share of weird dentist names: Dr Chew, Dr Au (Ow) and now Dr Yeoooooww! Ok now back to the review.... Dr. Yao is a young dentist who's recently joined the team of professionals at Dr Kliger's office of sweet ladies. She is awesome, sweet, and seriously surpassed my expectations for a young dentist. I'm super scared of needles and always apprehensive when it comes time to numb my mouth. When I told Dr Yao this, she was SO GENTLE with me and actually inserted the needle super S L O W L Y to the point that I didn't even feel the needle. What a doll! I have never met any dentist that has that kind of patience with their patients lol. You can't really lose with either dentist at this office. My friend Mai recommended me to see Dr. K when I needed to replace my retainer. Location is great because it's near work. Parking is super easy and right in FRONT. Dr. K and all of his staff are SUPER funny, but very professional. He wouldn't let me go unless he answered all of my questions. I can't wait to set up my first cleaning with him! Went here because my office is literally 5 min away and they accept Aetna Insurance. SCORE! That isn't even the icing on the cake. Dr. Yao and the dental tech did an exceptional job taking care of my 2 fillings. I normally DESPISE going to the dentist but they both made my experience very pleasant. Dr. Yao is very through and does not rush any of her procedures and always takes into account the patients comfort. Everything was painless and smooth. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Other notes: It's kind of slightly hidden. First time I went here for cleaning I had to play a bit of hide and seek with the entrance. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I'm writing this review for Dr. Yao. I went in for a teeth cleaning last month and after doing some x-rays she informed me that the tooth is cracked, which needs to be extracted. She first did two deep cleanings (don't judge, it's been a while since I've been to the dentist :D), and when the cracked tooth started hurting because of infection she gave me some very helpful advice on how to deal with it and prescribed some painkillers and antibiotics to ease the pain and fight the infection. Earlier today she extracted the tooth (quick and relatively painless) and the process went much smoother because I had the antibiotics. I still have to do a bone graft and have my wisdom teeth extracted, but given the good experience I've had so far I'm definitely less nervous about the whole process. Dr. Yao also helped me optimize my insurance usage by moving appointments around, saving a lot of money and headache for myself. She is an amazing dentist! Knowledgeable, competent, and cares about her patient! I highly recommend her to anyone in the bay area looking for dental work! read more

I'm writing this review for Dr. Yao. Great experience! One of my teeth is broken and needs to be extracted. And I want to get some advice on whether or not should I extract my 4 wisdom teeth. I almost ran out of my insurance ($1400 out of $1500). Dr. Yao gave me a lot of advice. She helped me to estimate the cost to extracting my teeth and told me my insurance could be restored in October so we can defer some non-urgent treatment. I did deep cleaning in somewhere else and Dr. Yao helped to examine my teeth and said it was not cleaned very well. She promised to do the regular cleaning for me and do it deeper. Then I could save some money by not doing deep cleaning again. She also advised me to keep 2 of wisdom teeth which grow well so it is not that necessary to extract them. I can also save money by not extracting these 2 wisdom teeth. Staff also confirmed with me that I took x-ray by another dentist and called them to fetch that X-ray to help me to save money. Then we don't need to take X-ray again. Moreover, she let me text her after appointment and gave me a lot of great advice after that. After the appointment, the staff sent me an email containing those x-rays and photos they took. She is a great, professional dentist, and very patient. Although I asked my friend to drive 1 hour to the clinic, I would definitely visit it again. read more

My favorite dentist ever! Dr. Kliger is friendly and caring, and he has a good sense of humor too. He will not push unnecessary procedure and he listens to what the patient thinks (which is VERY important). Never go to a dentist who doesn't listen to you. I did many extensive works here, eg. root canals and crowns, and am happy with the results. I can finally use the left side of my mouth with ease after Dr. Kliger built a crown that I thought was impossible to do. The molar was like an ancient crater, and had been like that for years. Now I can see a tooth there. Two thumbs up! The staff: Maria, Lynn and Nancy are friendly ladies and helpful. Nancy is really good at handling the appointment and insurance. Finding a great dentist that you can trust is almost mission impossible, but Dr. Kliger is one of these rare gem. I was diagnosed with a dying tooth by another dentist in Mountain View and I was supposed to get a root canal. I was seeking for a second opinion when I found Dr. Kliger on Yelp and I'm so glad I did! After thorough exams, Dr.Kliger assured me that my tooth was in perfect health and that no root canal was required. His staff is friendly, even my 5 years old son LOVES this place. Thank God I found Dr. Kliger. He is amazing. I hadn't been to the dentist in over 10 years since I had no insurance. I finally got a job with benefits and called in to the office for a cleaning and x-rays. The front desk staff are super sweet and accommodating, will answer any questions you have and make you feel comfortable. My first appointment I had X-rays done, a cleaning and an oral exam. Dr. Kliger's hygienist was gentle and careful and while all cleanings are annoying, I was able to lay back and relax. My next appointment I came in to get 5 cavities removed. I hate needles and I was dreading the shots. But Dr. Kliger was very gentle and I did not even feel the needle. I laid back and closed my eyes an before I knew it, my mouth was numbing. I didn't feel a thing. The cavities were big so it was uncomfortable to get them out, but I had absolutely no pain. I left relieved and actually smiling, which is saying something. Dr. Kliger did not judge me for not having gone to the dentist in so long and he did not try to sell me on unnecessary procedures. He takes the time to listen to his patients and is invested in them getting healthy. He is a great dentist and you will not regret going to see him. read more

I am so thankful to have found Dr. Yao and the rest of the team. Dr. Yao is very gentle, thorough, patient, and knowledgeable. With much work needed to be done on my teeth, she has made me feel comfortable by her kindness and her overall ability to answer to my million questions with confidence. Dr. Yao has such a calm and pleasant demeanor, and she just knows what she's doing! Her assistant Gina is also amazing, very empathetic and knowledgeable as well. I'm writing this review for Dr Yao and Dr Kliger. My case is a little bit tough and I truly appreciate everything they did to save my tooth from a further extraction or root canal. They are responsible, caring and very courteous. They only recommend what's best for the patients, not what's the easiest thing for dentists to conduct. I just moved to the mountain view area a month ago when suddenly my lower left teeth started to experience cold and hot sensitivity. Considering the fact that I just did two deep filling back in the east coast right before I relocated here, it's entirely possible that it's causing the sensitivity. But I wouldn't know why my teeth functioned just fine for a week then started to behave strange. The top priority is to find a new dentist in the area. I'm so glad that one of my friends recommended Dr Kliger's office. And they coordinated with my previous dentist office to get my records and x-rays even before I visited the office. When I went to see Dr Yao that day, they already have my info and have a general understanding of my case. We did a x-ray on the lower left. Dr Yao did a great job explaining that when I last got the tooth filling on the lower left, since it was a deep filling and that was a very tough spot, the edge of the tooth was not completely sealed by the filling material. That's what's causing the sensitivity. Instead of recommending a root canal directly, Dr Yao suggested that we redo the filling first to seal the tooth and see what happens. Even it's very challenging, they promised to try their best. They booked another appointment for me afterwards. And on that day Dr Kliger was the one actually conducting the tooth filling. Instead of taking out all the old fillings, he left a little part in just enough not to hurt the nerves, as the cavity was very deep. Then he did the refilling. Dr Kliger executed the whole process with great accuracy and expertise. After that, we did another xray to make sure that the tooth was sealed completely this time. I'm so lucky to have chosen this trustworthy dentist office as the place to go in the bay area. Don't really know what to say besides big THANKS!!! read more

Dr. Kliger is awesome. He was referred to me by a work colleague and I've been going to him for almost a year. He's even better than the dentist I had growing whom I used for almost 25 years. He takes the time to explain things, doesn't rush through a job, and is very friendly (as is his staff!). The Dr. I had before Dr. Kliger was not that great. And I'm naturally apprehensive about going to the dentist. So it was great that Dr. Kliger is so much better than my last Dr. (and even had to clean up some of that Dr's work).
