She is always kind, welcoming, and makes the whole experience feel comfortable. The rest of the staff is just as great. I've been coming here for a few years and my experiences have been nothing but positive. Staff are friendly, gentle when working on you, and upfront about cost. Recently, I made an appointment for a cleaning before my insurance ends at the end of the month. Due to some issues I was 10 min late to my appointment, but they insisted on fitting me in since they're often booked out a few weeks. At my appointment Dr. Lin let me know that an old filling is breaking down and should be replaced. When booking that appointment they made sure to get me in before my insurance ends. I've been a patient here 5 years. I've moved a little farther away to Half Moon Bay, and still come here because I love it. It's so good I convinced my wife to start going here. Best dentist I've ever had. Most kind and thoughtful Doctors. They have incredible bedside manner, are gentle, offer understandable explanations for procedures, and are incredibly detail oriented. The office is incredibly modern, spotlessly clean, and well organized. It's got Apple Store vibes and I love it. Dr Li's front office is ALSO amazing. Great with willing and appointments. I'm so happy with Dr li and his entire staff always super friendly making me valuable comfortable. Had second stage implant yesterday treatment was fast, clean, and comfortable. No pain at all!!! Not even while getting anesthetic. I have been bring my family here for close to 2 years now and every visit hast been beyond a great experience. Facility is always so clean and so relaxing! My husband who use to hate seen a dentist now loves and appreciates his cleanings (and for that I am greatful) usually done by Dr Ma. Wow. I came here at a friend's recommendation. She use to come here but had to switch out due to insurance changes. I feel so lucky they accept ours. The office looks very new, they do have tv monitors on the ceiling so you can watch your show during a long/short procedure. I only have been there once but my kids really enjoyed the compassionate, patience, kindness by DrLim and DrMa. Even my 20 month old , whose first time at the dentist, was pretty calm and she's a bit of a wild child. Not sure if this is a first appointment type of thing but it seems like the dentist does the cleaning which I haven't seen in a long time. So that was a nice touch. My wife and I have been going to David Li Dental Office for over 20 years now. Dr. Li and Dr. Lim and the whole staffs takes great care of my family's dental needs. My two teenagers have been seem here ever since they were born. They treat us like a long time family members. Dr Li and Dr. Lim are passionate about their work and always goes above and beyond their lines of work, never hesitate to give us advice on maintaining a good dental health. Always ask gently if we feel any sort of pain. I 've done alots of extensive work here. Over the years, I've gotten a crown and recently gotten 2 implants with Dr. Li, so far it's doing great. Stopped by this office for a follow up and things went mostly well. Got checked in quick and the assistant got everything ready fast. The doctor came in and actually listened instead of just typing stuff the whole time. They asked about recent stuff and how I'd been doing. Late last summer my tooth/gum hurt badly and two other dentists said I needed a root canal; not convinced, I searched and, thanks to fellow Yelp reviewers, I found Dr. Li. Dr. Li believed it's tooth decay and we should go with more conservative treatment first. In the next two appointments he fixed the tooth and added a crown. And he was right, that's all I needed! An interesting note is that, while on anesthesia I felt much impact and worried there will be terrible pain afterwards. But --- there wasn't !! Dr. Li has helped me with a couple of procedures including a difficult crown along with Dr. Lim on a wisdom teeth. He is a proficient dentist. Nina is awesome - very gentle and thoughtful during the treatments. Overall a fantastic staff and very good doctors They do expect you to not be late by more than 15 mins and any missed visit is $80 - so need to be on time. The good thing is they remind you a day or two in advance through text. The restrooms are very clean - a rarity. Didn't fill in forms they sent within a day and received messages next morning saying they didn't receive information from yesterday and will charging full cost. Dr. Ma has worked on my teeth for all my appointments and is always very reassuring with any procedure we are doing. My gums would be sensitive and bleeding for the entire following week after cleanings until I switched to Dr. Lim! She took her time to clean my teeth thoroughly without cutting up my gums. The next day my gums were not sore and did not bleed, it was the first time my dentist visit was pleasant! I was very excited to try out a new dentist, especially since there are so many good reviews but I was honestly disappointed by my visit. I had an appointment at 2pm and arrived 5 minutes early. Despite seeing me, the staff walked by and nobody was manning the reception area. I heard people talking and laughing, but nobody acknowledging me, even though I stood there for ten minutes. It seemed like the assistants were on a lunch break and came out together, asking if I had filled out any forms. After completing the questionnaires, I was taken into the room where X-rays were taken and Dr.Ma came in to check on my teeth. I had an exceptionally quick cleaning, probably the quickest I've ever experienced in my entire life; not to mention, the most painful. I had grimaced and indicated I was in a lot of pain during my short cleaning, and she had adjusted the machine to be more gentle, but I think she was quite forceful. I made it very evident I was in a lot of pain, but I feel like she continued being really rough with me. Before I knew it, the cleaning was done and my teeth were being polished. I felt like it was 3-4 minutes in total for the cleaning? I'm accustomed to longer, more thorough cleanings and didn't feel that clean after my visit. With the combination of long wait time, short visit, and painful experience, I likely won't be returning. Sad, because the reviews really got me excited that I had finally found my long-term dental office. I'm sorry for writing a negative review because I think the dental assistants are really kind and genuine, and my review is primarily based off the painfulness and duration of time on my visit. read more

Clean office, but everything else SUCKS!!! their cleaning is NOT through AT ALL! I have been to my previous dentist (recently retired) and periodontist , both have professional dental hygienists. But Dr David Li doesn't have even a dental hygienist. The person who cleaned my teeth was Jennifer. Throughout my visit , I never saw Dr Li. My visit that day was for a thorough exam and cleaning, both were done by Jennifer. Jennifer took my x-ray, cleaning and exam. Jennifer is not a real dentist, her cleaning was just brushing/polishing my teeth with the vibrating toothbrush. It is VERY different from professional dental hygienist. Scary!! Please DO NOT GO to Dr Lii. After doing some research, I could tell this dentist is trying to maximize his return rather than maximizing care for his patients. That's why you could tell her has 2 locations running simultaneously. Most dentists only has one location and it is plenty busy. DO NOT Recommend Dr David Li. read more
