Clean office, but everything else SUCKS!!! their cleaning is NOT through AT ALL! I have been to my previous dentist (recently retired) and periodontist , both have professional dental hygienists. But Dr David Li doesn't have even a dental hygienist. The person who cleaned my teeth was Jennifer. Throughout my visit , I never saw Dr Li. My visit that day was for a thorough exam and cleaning, both were done by Jennifer. Jennifer took my x-ray, cleaning and exam. Jennifer is not a real dentist, her cleaning was just brushing/polishing my teeth with the vibrating toothbrush. It is VERY different from professional dental hygienist. Scary!! Please DO NOT GO to Dr Lii. After doing some research, I could tell this dentist is trying to maximize his return rather than maximizing care for his patients. That's why you could tell her has 2 locations running simultaneously. Most dentists only has one location and it is plenty busy. DO NOT Recommend Dr David Li. read more

Even before I visited the place, it was annoying to see so many texts reminding about the appointment. The appointment literally lasted for 15 min, which I have never seen any dentist rush through so fast before(especially for first time visit!) The cleaning seemed so fast and rough, I felt almost like it'll result in some injury. There is no dental care or advice for dental hygiene. It's almost like they want to get through as many patients as possible every hour. I came in today for my 1 filling appointment with Dr. Mendoza , and my experience was very pleasant . From the beginning of the treatment , he explain it very well why I need filling and not crown ( although that tooth may be a candidate for crown later on ) . I just like that Dr. Mendoza is very thorough and conservative when it comes to treatment . He is very gentle too . After my filling , they still have enough time so he did my regular cleaning . Figured I'd write an updated review based on my covid dental experience. I went in for teeth cleaning. It was very good & smooth overall. I felt safe for the most part given that I can be paranoid sometimes. Upon arrival, I called the front desk to check in as I waited inside my car. Front desk/Sora came out with a forehead thermometer & checked my temperature before going into the dental office. She also had me fill out this patient questionnaire (something new for covid) asking if I have/ had any symptoms, traveled in the last 14 days etc. Maybe waited for 5 minutes or so then Dr. Lim took me in. The staff was all decked out in their full PPE. There was even an air purifier in the room which was pretty neat! Overall, I think their cleanliness level is on par with the health guidelines. I had an exceptionally wonderful experience! 5 stars all around ***** for every single person I encountered. I had a terrible experience with a root canal etc. in 2016, and now there's just all sortsa malarkey going on in there! Mr. Li (and his team) to the rescue! I was very worried about potentially losing another tooth, but I was comforted to know there are options if it turns out I need to say goodbye. This is my first teeth cleaning appointment with Dr. Jenny Lim. Staff were all extremely friendly and took extra measures to ensure both patients and staff are properly protected due to Covid-19. TL;DR = This is the best dental cleaning experience I've ever had in the Bay Area with dentists and staff who care about their patients the most! Dr. Lim started with checking my face, jaw, and mouth for any cancer. None of my dentists have ever done that before. After taking an X-Ray, she also thoroughly explained why they take X-Rays and what they look for, and post cleaning she pulled up my scans from a previous dental clinic and compared to my current scans. I definitely got the luxury treatment! :) the entire cleaning process went smoothly and Dr. Lim would often stop to make sure I wasn't in discomfort. read more

Dr David is a very caring , patient , smart and professional with his job. He knows what is he is doing. He is very clean with his tools . I got my root canal done by him in three sittings and it went super smooth. He made me aware of all precautions and post surgery experience beforehand. He always stayed behind to answer any questions after the surgery too. During the surgery he was constantly communicating with me which made me feel relaxed. The reviews on Yelp speak for itself. I found Dr.David C Li's office on Yelp 3 yrs ago and can't say enough about how amazing and patient they are. Dr. Jenny Lim is my primary dentist, here. She is sincere and gentle and only does necessary fixes. She is phenomenal and truly cares about her patients. This office follows strict Covid-19 protocols. The waiting area is closed.Hence, when you arrive for your appointment, you've to wait in your car and text them to inform that you're outside waiting.The reason for texting before you walk inside the office, is to have only 1 person at a time in the waiting room.They'll text you diligently at your appointment time to come inside, then go through the regular Covid-19 questionnaire forms and get your temperature checked.When you're checked-in, you're good to go inside the room. Their office is basically simple, clean, and nothing overly fancy. I assume they keep this office like this in order to keep their prices reasonable for people who have to pay either through insurance or out of pocket. I needed a couple of root canal re-treatment done and they referred me to Dr.Jaewoong Choi's office who're efficient and diligent at their dental work, as well. Even Dr.David Li's office referrals are astounding. I've had only good experiences with Dr.Jenny Lim and her entire staff :) This is by far the best dentist office in the Bay Area. Need a dentist? Being in the healthcare profession myself, I def have certain expectations aka in other words, I'm quite picky, the mean one, the not nice patient, the difficult, however you want to name it...lol! I was able to schedule a last min appt (trying to make good use of my dental benefit at the year end, and yes don't we all wait till last minute to do it hahaha I'm one of those...) Everything including insurance was verified beforehand and appointment scheduled efficiently. The front staffs, Veronica and Sora, are super nice and friendly gals. The office manager, Nikki, was the most down to earth person I ever met! I was scheduled to see Dr. Mendoza that day for a cleaning and checkup. Their office open Monday to Friday, and 3 Saturdays a month, at very convenient hrs 9-5:30pm. They have 3 doctors (Dr. Li, Dr. Mendoza, Dr. Lim) and multiple assistants at the back, very efficiently run office. First, Fritzie came in to take some X-rays, then Dr. Mendoza swooped in with Malika to clean my teeth, felt soo clean after! He explained everything and showed me how flat my teeth is bc I grind (lol, he is spot on bc I have my nightguard for more than 10 yrs...), no cavity (woot woot, take that for a win!). Nonetheless, I needed a new nightguard. Again, everything was verified ASAP and all copays explained. Carla and Luz came in and took my impressions, boom, boom, and boom. I was referred by my friend to see Dr. Jeff Yoshihara to treat my pain on wisdom tooth. I am so afraid to remove it because Ive seen people who has swelling after the treatment . But when i came to the office I was very anxious .I informed Stefanie the front staff and ahe made me feel at ease . She gave me an estimate of how much it will cost me after my insurance which my HSA will cover . Dr. Lim has been taking care of my teeth for a couple of years. She helped me through wisdom teeth removal, root canal to cleanings and fillings. I had so many problems in my mouth the first time I came here, all of which are taken care of professionally and kindly in the last 2 years. Now I only need minimal maintenance. A disappointing visit. Before my visit, I was required to provide dental insurance through text message after I made the appoint, and I provided all the information they need. But during the day I visit, the front-desk still comes to me asking about the dental insurance. They did not align well internally, and wasted my time. Plus, their attitude is no good. Their English isn't that well with accent, but they speak very fast. They can see that I am not a native speaker and I need to stop and think about some expressions sometimes when I talk about some details, but they still speak very fast. When I say "Could you please speak that again cause I did not get you?" They still repeat very fast and unclear with accent. They show no respect to customers. For Dr. Li, I was thinking about invisalign treatment, his suggestions to me also sounded weird. He said that I do not need to wear the upper part, but only the bottom part would be fine since mostly it is my lower teeth that need to be adjusted. But from all three other dental offices I visited, none of them said that I would not need to wear upper part. I even asked them this question, other dentists( I would not say their names) all say I need the upper part to make sure the align between my upper and lower teeth when my lower teeth's position are changing, which I think makes sense. Plus, I was told to be given an estimation of invisalign treatment through email because they were not able to get my insurance information before my visit(though I provided all information several days before my visit). But I have never received the estimation of the price after my visit. It's been almost a week now. I have very good dental insurance. Based on the consultation feedback from other dentists I visited, my insurance can cover half of the invisalign treatment. Overall, it is a very disorganized organization. The staff works there performs unprofessionally. Dr. Li also looks arrogant. Maybe they think they have already good enough review, and too many new customers coming because of those old good reviews, so they do not really care about their new customers or their services any longer. read more

It was painful. I tried my Regular dentist but they were closed. I found Dr Li and his receptionist was warm and welcoming. She said come on over and we will got you in. 12:20 - I arrive. Greeted with a smile. I filled out new patient paperwork. 12:30 - Carla takes me back and sets me up and takes x-rays. I can immediately see the x-rays on the screen on front of me too. 12:35 - Dr Li cones in. Introduced himself and shakes my hand. He reviews their finds and explains that they meed replace the crown and what the options are. He shows me videos of the options and the procedures and answers all my questions. He is very professional and respecting of my current dentist. Meanwhile their office manager has already contacted my insurance company and is providing me with estimates for the options too. I decide to have the crown replaced. This means they will have to do a build up as the last crown shear off leaving very little tooth structure. They will place a temporary today and a permanent crown in 2 weeks. I am expecting it will take 2 more hours. Call my husband and tell him I will be home by 3. I am done and home by 2 pm!! Pain free. Very gentle numbing starting with a strong topical. They offered me a bite block so I could rest my Jaw during the process. And Carly set up Netflix so I could want anything I wanted. Even put on the CC so I could follow along when they has to drill. I am looking forward to my return visit. Thanks to everyone for being there on Saturday for me. read more

They do NOT communicate back to patient any issues or concerns. Seems like front desk (appealingly nice) and the management has major disconnect. I always call Dr. David C. Li's clinic to have my teeth cleaned semi annually. I usually go to Dr. Lim, but this time Dr. Ma attended to me for my cleaning. I really appreciated her taking the time to clean my bottom teeth where I have a permanent retainer. Personally, I find it difficult to floss around my permanent retainer and sometimes I skip flossing around that area in general. Due to that, there was a lot of plaque buildup. Dr. Ma took her time to clean that area and recommended me to use a proxabrush to help clean in between the teeth. I am grateful to Dr. Ma for being so kind, attentive, and answering all of my questions. I felt that she really took the time to ensure that my teeth were clean.
