I had appointments with Dr. Lim for a consult and filling my teeth and am happy with my experience. Dr. Lim was very professional and explained all the procedures that needed to be done thoroughly. During the process, she was considerate and checked in on whether I'm doing okay multiple times and told me what to expect afterwards. The office is also doing a good job of following covid protocols. My temperature was checked before entering and I had to fill out a questionnaire regarding exposure. This is the first dentist I choose when I move to California last year and I am very satisfied ! When I first call, the receptionist was very friendly and help me schedule an appointment right away. I forgot how I found this dental office in the first place, but the experiences of follow-up visits are all very satisfying. I have been here for over a year. And Dr. Lim is my dentist. She is amazingly knowledgeable and talented in the field (at least to me as an engineer). She could tell what dental treatments I received when I was a child just by the first time look. And she remembers my case very well, even for a 6-month later visit. Dr. Lim treats each individual's case as a project. Someone might say, 'How can you treat a person as a project?'. It's not like this, to me, it shows her commitment and best efforts for the success of the 'project', which is the long-term well-being of me, and us. Besides Dr. Lim, other members in the dental office are warm and helpful. They work around the best plan to utilize my insurance. They schedule my appointments that put me first. Amazing dental experience! Dr. Jenny Lim is a great dentist on all accounts. She only does what you need, talks you through your options and works with you on the approach you are comfortable with. On top of that she is a great human being. She followed up with me afterwards to see if I was okay. My procedure was a bit tricky, so she forecasted some soreness and pain. But honestly, I haven't felt much pain, may be a bit of discomfort, that's all. It was the best dental experience I have ever had. I brought my daughter here too. She saw Dr. Li and Dr. Lim. Both of them were great. My daughter (who is 10) was very happy with her experience as well. The girls in the office were polite and accommodating. OK. I gave this place a try because of the review and rating. But now I doubt whether they are all real. I made an appointment and arrive on time. They asked me to fill the form and I did. Before I tried to explain the insurance part, the receptionist shut me up that I will grab you when I am ready. Before I thought I will be greeted by the dentIst so I can share my reason for visiting. A hygienist (instead of a dentist) guides me and start to ask questions. She said I need to take x-ray. I have question around why that is really necessary but I said yes anyway. While I am getting ready for tHe x ray. The reception came in asking the insurance info. I told her I am using my wife's company policy, she is busy at that moment and I will get the subscribe info shortly. She seems very concerned that I might be a liar who can not pay. So she started tto emphasize I might need to pay myself for any cost incurred during the visit. I thought why the rush, you will get the info before I leave since I was just called my wife, she will get the info after she is out of the meeting. Anyway, the process and the tone, I really don't feel they care or respect. I don't have faith in a dentist who don't show up to new patient and only thing he cares is whether thee patient can pay the bill or not. The bottom line is that reception is really terrible. A hour wait too get the insurance will kill her? Or she lacks of basic trust? There are more dentist you can find. Skip this one. [update after the reply from the dentist, see below] The reply below from the dentist show how arrogant this place is. I did not refuse to fill out the form. We asked for x-ray, I said Yes even though I have concern around it. When asked for insurance info, I did not refuse to provide. I just said I need more time to get the info. It might be ready before my visit ends. Why not taking my words and be more patient and focus on more what a patient wants. It is them so anxious about it and seems that is the most important thing. If that is so important for you, why not sorting all these things out first before letting me in? It is their care of the money ends up this unpleasant conversation, instead of focusing how to make patient more comfortable and provide clear guidance and explanation, they choose to blame me for rudeness. A dentist who cares about the money first will never be a good dentist. They will always recommend things for their benefit instead of the patients. read more

Okay so going to Dr. Lim as a dentist has basically changed my life - I know that sounds extreme but it really has. I have had fears of dentists since I was young (flashing back to 7 years of orthodontics) and my family instilled that dentists were all a bunch of crooks that aimed to take your money. As an adult, this meant I never went to the dentist voluntarily and what a big mistake! After 6-7 years having not gone (besides wisdom teeth extraction bc I had to) to a regular dental check up, it was no surprise I needed a root canal. I came to Dr. Lim for a check up and she was so patient, thorough and really took the time to show me what was going on with my teeth, explained the x-rays and always with a smile. We scheduled a root canal and is it fair to say it was actually one of the most pleasant dental experiences I ever had? It was so painless, and get this, you get to watch Netflix while you lay back and have a complicated procedure done...meanwhile you are being entertained and before you know it, you're done and feel fine, maybe great even? Since going to Dr. Lim, I now have full faith and trust in my dentist and will no longer fear going every 6 months to make sure it never gets bad again! read more

Came here as a new patient for a cleaning with Dr.Li coming into the office the the staff were very welcoming I was assisted by Luz who took x-rays for me and knew what she was doing once she was done she gave me a brief explanation of the X-rays she took and how it would help with any treatment. So far it's been great! In November 2018 I went to Dr. Li because a previous dentist couldn't complete my root canal treatment. I asked Dr. Li if I could hold off on the root canal post build-up until my insurance reset on Jan 1st. He rightfully couldn't guarantee anything but he did prescribe me antibiotics and instructions to use them if I started feeling pain. Unfortunately the tooth didn't hold out until Jan. 1st and I started to feel pain so I started the antibiotics he prescribed me and called for an emergency appointment. Dr. Li was on vacation but they did schedule me with Dr. Lim with a few days. Dr. Lim also has great reviews on yelp so I was comfortable switching doctors. So I went in for my appointment and Dr. Lim made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I told her I had a more difficult time than most at getting numb and recommended she not hold back on the numbing agent. With that advice she gave me the best numbing procedure I've had in years. After a few shots deep in the back of the jaw I didn't feel anything for the rest of the treatment. She cleaned and prepared the tooth for the crown and stopped the toothache I was feeling. The temporary crown she made fit like a glove and did not come off or hurt for the weeks it took to get to the new year and my insurance reset. Went in today to get the crown put in and all went perfectly. The crown was/is a perfect fit and she hardly had to make any adjustments as it was put in place. I'm very happy with my experience at Dr. Li's office and under the care of both Dr. Lim and Dr. Li. Also, because I was paying cash out-of-pocket for the 2018 work they were kind enough to work out some discounts for me so that I could save some money as they didn't have to process the whole treatment through insurance. It was very helpful to me and was about 30% less expensive than other dentists I've used in the past for the same type of treatment. I will definitely be going back and can highly recommend their practice for your dentistry needs. read more

I can't even explain how satisfied I am with the AMAZING quality of work I received at this dental office. I initially scheduled a regular cleaning and consultation for my two upper wisdom teeth that were causing me pain. The employees at the office were incredibly helpful with getting my insurance sorted out (I used my school's student insurance). They communicated with me via text which was convenient for my busy schedule. Today I went in for wisdom tooth extractions using a local anesthetic. I was a bit worried that I would be in a lot of pain, but the staff assured me it would be quick and painless. Dr. Li was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable as he explained every procedure carefully. After two quick injections, he waited until my entire mouth was numb. Once he began the extractions, the process took less than 5 minutes. At first I thought he was kidding when he said "all done" but once I saw my teeth on the tray I was shocked. I left once he carefully explained post-care procedures and even gave me some gauze to take home. I am now sitting at home 8 hours later with very minimal pain and feeling relieved. I'm coming to this office for few years now . I am very happy with the services they provided me . First of all , I did my veneers with Dr. Li on my front teeth . I have a huge gap and every time I smile I am so conscious about it . Dr. Li did short braces treatment then do my veneers . I am pleased with the result . I originally booked an emergency appointment here . They fitted me into their schedule on the same day and answered my concerns. During my appointment, the front desk was super nice and Dr. Lim explained carefully what the problems are. They then booked some follow up appointments to resolve all problems. All of my follow up appointments are with Dr. Cho. He is very careful with all of his work and tries his best to reach perfection. He also constantly checks if there are any discomfort during the practice. I feel very comfortable having Dr. Cho handling all my teeth problems/questions. Dr. Lim & Dr. Li are the best!! They both take care of their patients dental health as family. Everything I get done at their office is explained with patience and detail. They also find the best plan to work with your insurance, so you don't have to break your bank. There's two offices, one in San Jose and the second one in Sunnyvale, for your convenience. I originally made an emergency appointment with Dr. Li's office to have my teeth checked after feeling some lower jaw discomfort for a week or so. I called the office to schedule an appointment and rachel, the office receptionist, was so kind as to fit me into the schedule that same day. Dr. Lim was able to see me right away with very little notice. I ended up needing a wisdom tooth extraction. I have never had a tooth extracted before and so I was a little bit nervous about the procedure but dr lim explained the procedure thoroughly and did not rush me or pressure me into making any immediate decision. The receptionist, rachel, was able to fit me into the schedule the following day for the extraction. The appointment was quick, and nearly painless! I was very impressed! Dr lim was super gentle and kept checking in on me to make sure I wasn't in any discomfort. I barely even felt any pain after the visit. All in all, I am very grateful to have found this office! I needed a dental office so I found this office that wasn't too far from home because I was having a bad toothache and my wisdom teeth were about ready to come out. I called and the lady named Rachel was very nice and tried to fit me into the schedule for today. It was embarrassing that she had to fit me in with so little notice because I know how tough that gets. Dr. Li seen me after a couple minutes into waiting (usually in other offices, I wait more than half an hour). He told me he was able to remove both my wisdom tooth that same day!! Which I was very excited about because i've had enough of the pain. Dr. Li finished with my extraction in HALF AN HOUR! I was impressed! It went well and I didn't feel as much pain than I thought! Since then, I will always come here for any of my dental problems. The staff and Dr. Li are very friendly and welcoming! I am updating my review after 2 years. I have been coming to Dr. Li's office since late 2014 and every single visit has been very nice, comfortable, and friendly. I have had treatments done by Dr. Li, Dr. Lim, and Dr. Cho. They all went smoothly and comfortable. Dr. Li is very thorough and explains everything clearly. Dr. Lim is also very nice and explains everything. She does not rush when it comes to making sure the patient understands their dental needs. She also does not leave the room after she's done with her work. She stays to answer any questions without making you feel rushed. Dr. Cho is the master of perfection. He will measure every angle and corner to ensure the work is done precisely. He is literally a perfectionist. He is also very calm and checks with you throughout the whole procedure which I think is a great attribute for those who get nervous with the dentist. The dental assistant are all friendly and nice. They make conversation with you and make you feel comfortable. The front desk ladies, specifically Linda and Nikki are so kind and helpful. They are very accommodating when it comes to making appointments or switching them around. I never experienced issues with making appointments given my busy work schedule. They don't compromise your dental needs over appointment conflicts or insurance coverage. Needed to find a new dental office as my previous dental office hours didn't work well with my work schedule. Luckily, I came across Dr. Li's office and gave them a call. It was pretty last minute but the receptionist was so amazing helped me out and made me an appointment for that weekend. The day of my app I arrived early to fill out the paper work and then Malika called me back to take my x-rays then Dr. Lim came in to explain the x-rays and do my cleaning. Both Malika and Dr. Lim were such a pleasure to work with. Also, Dr. Lim has the most gentle hands (in the past I've had cleanings and my mouth was sore for days after) after this visit I was totally fine. I've been coming to Dr. Li's office since late 2015 and have been treated by a number of the doctors and staff, most recently Dr. Lim (who is one of the friendliest and kindest dentists I've had!). Throughout all of my procedures here (root canals, cavities, routine cleanings, night guard) I've been impressed by the care and level of detail shown. When I got my root canal (which is usually a procedure that requires 3-4 appointments), my dentist took extra time out of his schedule to reduce the number of appointments to only 2. Before the treatment, my dentist also explained the details of the procedure to me and made sure I was completely comfortable throughout the process. After both my root canal and night guard fitting, I received follow-up calls from Dr. Li's office checking up on me and making sure I wasn't in any pain. My dentists have also been very gentle, which I've especially appreciated as someone with sensitive teeth. Dr. Li and staff treat clients with respect and are considerate and accommodating of busy work schedules. I've never had to spend more than a few minutes waiting for the dentist and cancelling/confirming appointments has been made easy with text message reminders and confirmations a couple days before appointments.
