I've had a fantastic experience with Dr. Raja and the team at Trident Smiles…read more A crown on one of my upper molars unexpectedly came off after about a year, and instead of simply replacing it, Dr. Raja took the time to investigate why it had failed. She showed me the digital bite analysis and explained how my bite, limited clearance around the tooth, and wear on my canine could be contributing to excessive forces on my teeth. She referred me to an endodontist to evaluate the tooth, which ultimately allowed me to save it through root canal retreatment. I really appreciated that she didn't just treat the immediate problem but looked at the underlying factors that could potentially cause similar problems in the future. Dr. Raja also took the time to walk me through Invisalign using an actual digital before-and-after simulation. She explained how improving my bite could create additional clearance around the molar, potentially allow for a porcelain crown instead of metal, and at the same time address spacing and crowding that I've personally been unhappy with for years. What I appreciate most is how thoroughly she explains the why behind her recommendations. I never felt like I was simply being told what treatment to get. She showed me the information, answered all my questions, and gave me options so I could make an informed decision. The office has also been incredibly accommodating regarding the crown, and I really appreciate how they worked with me after the original crown failed. I'm now moving forward with Invisalign, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the treatment improves both my bite and my smile. I'll have to come back and update this review once the treatment is complete! Dr. Raja is knowledgeable, caring, thorough, and clearly invested in the long-term health of her patients. So far, I couldn't be happier with the care I've received and would highly recommend her and Trident Smiles.

GREEDY GREEDY GREEDY PEOPLE…read more The only positive thing that I have to say about this place is that the front desk staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. other than that it's all a load of B.S. went in for a simple extraction and they tried to upsell me on several other useless dental treatments that I did not need. not cleaning or anything that could possibly be related to my tooth extraction. no they tried to sell me more Invisalign. get me to get a 1.9k replacement tooth and refuse to do the extraction unless I get the expensive replacement. DO NOT GIVE THESE GREEDY PEOPLE THE TIME OF DAY THEY ONLY SEE YOU AS A DOLLAR SIGN NOT A PATIENT. Edit: went to another dentist after that emergency appointment with these terrible people. And they told me that a replacement tooth would have only been necessary if I wanted the extraction to not affect my jaw structure. And they only wanted 300$ out of me for it. Not 1.9k. WHICH by the way after I said I didn't have the money for they tried to get me to use KLARNA. (Or affirm I don't remember) to be able to pay. These people heard me tell them I am in financial hardship and then tried to make me go into debt for things I didn't need or want. ALSO the second dentist told me my teeth are aligned quite well and any further alignments would mostly be cosmetic and have no effect on my actual chewing capacity. I SAY AGAIN DO NOT GIVE THESE GREEDY PEOPLE YOUR MONEY. OTHER REVIEWS DISCUSS THIS TOO THEY ARE NOT GOING TO CARE FOR YOU. THEY WILL ONLY CARE ABOUT YOUR WALLET. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND GET A SECOND OPINION ALWAYS. ESPECIALLY IF YOU GO HERE FIRST.

But what I am surprised about is Dr. Esther Lee's apparent lack of knowledge or willingness to talk about anything other than the very basic stuff around cleanings/fillings. For example, I had a question about a front tooth moving out of place. I wanted to know if it was anything serious/do I need to do anything about it in the near future. She appeared to be surprised at the question (I guess she wanted to start the cleaning as soon as possible). She mumbed .... "uh, I dunno .... maybe see an orthodontist?". This is not the only time. Many times in the past her way of responding would be .... "uh, ... vague answer" One would think that after 4-6 years of dental school/residency, a dentist would be willing to offer better service/advice rather than suggesting a referral to a specialist for every small thing. So, if you only need basic stuff done (apparently these "dentists" love making their money only through cleanings & fillings), then this place is ok .... but don't expect anything else.
