While the appointment process was smooth and I was able to get an immediate visit, the actual experience with Dr. Park was incredibly concerning. After the assistant efficiently took three X-rays of my left side (upper and lower), Dr. Park came in and immediately asked about the pain on my "right" side. I politely corrected her, but she seemed confused and continued to mention the right side. When she began the exam, she started checking my lower teeth--I had to remind her multiple times that the pain was in my upper teeth. The confusion continued when she couldn't seem to operate the computer to find my X-rays, even suggesting I needed more taken until I reminded her we had just finished three. Once she finally located the correct slides, she simply pressed on the tooth and declared I needed a root canal. When I asked what the X-ray showed to justify such a major procedure, she told me, "Something X-rays can't show now, but you need a root canal." If a dentist cannot distinguish between left and right or upper and lower jaws, I cannot trust them with my dental health. I would strongly advise against seeing Dr. Park. I have already put this office on my "black list" and will never return. After checking other Yelp comments, I see tons of other one-star reviews echoing similar frustrations. The management seriously needs to pay attention to these complaints and focus on major improvements. I strongly suggest everyone avoid iSmile. There are far better, more professional options in the area.

I also had a positive interaction with D.A V (Marco), who was professional and so caring. However, my overall experience was deeply troubling. I came in already in significant distress. The financial discussions felt rushed and heavily focused on upfront charges. When I asked questions about items I did not fully understand or agree with, I've got a lot of attitude in return. After my procedure, while I was still in the chair and actively bleeding they decided that it's time to get some more money out of me. When I asked for clarification regarding the charges, instead of receiving calm and professional communication, I experienced what felt like raised voices and a dismissive tone from the administrative staff member (Emma). At that moment, I was vulnerable and physically uncomfortable, and the interaction added unnecessary emotional distress. During the procedure itself with Dr. Gupta, the administration of anesthesia was extremely painful and felt forceful. I required additional injections before the procedure was completed, which was really painful. Gum injections are not fun, obviously, but two doctors before her would pause, ask if I needed a moment, or more numbing or, if it's ok to proceed. In general, they would show compassion and care. Additionally, during surgery, a phone rang in the doctors pocket, which I found distracting and concerning during a delicate procedure. In a surgical setting, focus and professionalism are critical. Patients seeking urgent dental care are often anxious and in pain. They deserve clear communication, respectful treatment, and reassurance -- especially when discussing finances and undergoing surgery. Based on my experience, I did not feel that level of care was consistently present. Not even simple human compassion of any sort. Just about the money and more money. I strongly encourage prospective patients to ask detailed questions about treatment plans and charges in advance and to consider obtaining a second opinion before proceeding with extensive procedures. Based on my experience, I would not return or recommend it to anyone. I paid everything they asked me ($2200) and even a bogus 10% of the bill charge for whatever, and I did not receive the solution of the problem I came with. The administrator I paid to was actively disappointed, even I paid cash she asked. She appeared visibly irritated and was openly discussing me with other staff members right next to me, within earshot. She couldn't understand why I don't want to pay 100% in advance for hypothetical things I never needed after all. And yes, they tried to cancel my appointment 4 hours before.
