    Butternut burrito

We tried Fuzzy Cactus today and it was wonderful! Various vegan options, and the bartender said there are even more vegan possibilities off-menu. Speaking of the bartender (the one with magenta hair in front) was SO nice, helpful, above and beyond. We got the butternut burrito, the totchos veganized + tofu, and the tofu fries. It was all nothing short of amazing. Super crispy tofu fries, flavorful sauces (vegan cactus sauce and vegan poblano sauce plus vegan queso that was clearly house-made!!) I also got a house mocktail and which is customized to suit every time. Awesome. The ambiance was 10/10 quirky Richmond dive which I LOOOVE. Looked very clean inside. We sat outside at one of two picnic tables which was nice.

I went here last night with a friend for happy hour! The decor and vibes are very unique. In happy hour they have multiple $5 drink options, I got a daiquiri and the waitress was even nice enough to make it a coconut one which was delicious!! My friend came a few minutes after happy hour ended but they still gave her the happy hour price on her first one! I got a burrito and it was DELICIOUS. I ate the whole thing and loved it, all the flavors paired perfectly together! And the tortilla was perfectly toasted to give it a little crunch. All the prices were reasonable, and overall it's just a great place to hangout!

The happy hour daiquiri and wing deals are among my favorite hidden treasures in Richmond. I love the vibe of this place and the food and drinks are always wonderful. The service is hit or miss - if you don't sit up at the actual bar, table service can be pretty slow, and I wouldn't say the servers are exactly friendly. Overall, this is a great spot and so fun to have close by if you live in the Northside area.

House Old Fashioned ($5 Happy Hour)

I'm almost embarrassed to say that I have passed this place at least 3 times a week for over 3 years. But... I'm proud to say, I finally decided today was the day I was going to see what this place was all about since it is in my Northside neighborhood. This place makes me realize why I like "Stranger Things"so much. The atmosphere was definitely giving 80s vibes! I mean, they even had "Labyrinth" playing on the TV (in closed caption.) I haven't seen that movie since I was 5! I'm not going to age myself, I'll let you use Google and figure out my age. Needless to say, I kind of liked the vibe. My greater joy was finding out they have a $5 house Old Fashioned on the happy hour menu. That was just my starter. I ended up enjoyed several other specialty drinks throughout the night. It got relatively busy in there but the bartenders were all super attentive and made amazing drinks. Happy hour ended at 7:00, but I made sure to order some honey habanero wings before the cutoff to enjoy the $2 discount. When I got home, I found that the wings were really tasty, but I felt sad that I didn't get some more in another flavor. I'll definitely know for next time. They better get used to me, because I will definitely be back for more drinks and definitely to grab something to go!

There isn't one thing this bar does wrong! Beautiful and fun decor and lighting, friendly and attractive and attentive and professional staff, excellent food, prices moderate, pool table for a buck a game, pinball machines for the Geeks, movies on tv (not sports, yay!), terrific bands on occasion, Lone Star Beer as the go to!!!! Why aren't you here?!?!

Buffalo wings - a must try!

Stopped into here before a pottery class and we loved everything about this place! From the funky decor on the walls, to the excellent staff and most importantly - the delicious food! My husband has been on the search for the best wing in Richmond and he said he finally found it! Flavorful, crispy, and not too saucy. The chicken sandwiches/biscuits sound amazing and almost everyone in the restaurant was ordering the nachos. They have a small stage and bands come play, they also have a pool table, pinball machines and creative beer/shot combos such as the "Colorado Kool-aid" which is a Coors Banquet and a shot of rum. They have great happy hour specials and there are so many things I want to try so we'll definitely be back!

This place is so legit awesome. Ridiculously good cocktails. Not overrated lemony trash like Jasper. Good people, amazing food, nice prices. This is my jam.

Yummm! I've been to Fuzzy Cactus a few times now but mostly just to get their cocktails, but I went last week with a friend and ordered food and it was delicious! We ordered the carnitas quesadilla and the fried chicken nachos and they were both so good! Great flavors and good portions for the both of us to share. The dipping sauces were tasty too. We also ordered the fuzzy bastard and the diamond dog and they were strong with cute decorations on them. So good! Will definitely be back soon!

Only street parking is available, but it wasn't too difficult to find a spot. The atmosphere: Very rustic vibe with some farmhouse-style decor. They have table, high-top, bar, and patio seating available. The food: I opted for the Chicken and Waffles with a side of cheese grits. I chose to make it hot for more spice. It's served with one whole waffle, two large pieces of fried chicken, and syrup on the side. The chicken was not seasoned as much as I hoped and wasn't as spicy as I expected, which was a bummer. The cheese grits were alright as well, but not as flavorful as I hoped. My partner ordered the Double Barrel Bowl, and he really enjoyed it. It was packed with pulled pork and was plentiful and filling. The service: Great and kind service from Mave (I believe that is her name but I'm not entirely sure). She informed us about the daily specials and was attentive throughout our visit.

I've always had a pleasant time dining in, the staff has always been attentive to refill my drinks, and they always are willing to entertain a conversation with me, or entertain me with their conversation. Beauvine, in my opinion, is a staple of Richmond's food scene and is a MUST to anyone new or visiting the city and wants a fantastic, and reasonably priced, burger. I was going to order another drink, but because it took them quite a bit of time to get back to me, I ended up not forgoing the extra drink. I ordered a Bellytimber burger with a side of onion rings and a Beauvine's mule with raspberry flavor. My friend had ordered wings with a Modelo. My burger and onion rings were good, but my mule wasn't strong enough for me. It tasted quite watered down. The wings, my friend said, was alright. Overall, my experience was okay. I wouldn't mind coming back, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way.

This is the restaurant in the lobby of the Omni, and their room service menu has a really solid variety. Appetizers, soups and salads, sandwiches, fish, chicken, steak, seafood, other meat options, plus plenty of sides and desserts. There's something for whatever mood you're in. For my appetizer I ordered the fried green tomatoes. I'm very picky about fried green tomatoes because if they're not done right, they can be greasy and heavy. These were not. They were thick wedges of firm green tomatoes in a light batter, stacked with a spread of pimento cheese and finished with a drizzle of honey. The balance of savory and sweet worked really well, and the texture was exactly what I look for -- crisp outside, tender yet firm inside. For my entrée I chose the roasted lamb rack. It came as two double ribs over a sweet potato purée that had a subtle hint of cinnamon -- really nice flavor without being overpowering. The lamb was cooked to the right temperature, juicy and tender, with a light chimichurri and vegetables alongside. I also ordered the grilled corn succotash as a side -- corn, beans, and tomato. It was fresh and bright and complemented the richness of the lamb perfectly. This is my second time dining here. The first time I had breakfast out on the Westham Porch, and both experiences have been very pleasant.
