First time in the dining room last night - great experience! We were the only ones but went for an early dinner so not too surprising. Bartender/server Swan was super helpful, not too pushy or inattentive. I had the Philly. It was SO BIG! And delicious. My friend had the fish and chips. We really enjoyed our meal and service. Nice quiet spot for an affordable meal.

Had a great visit with my pups. I'm stuck on keto, but they have an amazing gf pizza here and Ibordered supreme. They brought water bowls for the dogs and service was stellar. The ambiance was great w natural shade all over the patio. Atmosphere was great! This is a gem--can't wait to go inside when I'm not w my dogs. 5 stars!

Hidden gem? I guess if you want to call it that - this place is authentically dive-bar Richmond. Essentially a remodeled old home turned pub with a nice historic feel. We sat at the bar and it was actually busier than expected - affordable drinks with a hometown feel. The kind of place I would love to take my buddies to when showing off Richmond because something about it just feels important. Would recommend to anyone wandering around in Church Hill!

The food was great, we had the pub fries and sausage roll for appetizers and pan roasted chicken and jalapeño popper beyond burger. We wanted to get dessert but just didn't have room. Brittany was our server and was very friendly and personable. Great experience will definitely be back.

A few weeks ago my husband and I were sitting at the Emerald Lounge and a local recommended Patrick Henry's Pub and said that their chicken tenders were to die for. Low and behold Friday night we walked down the hill to the pub - best decision of the day! OK seriously, best chicken tenders ever, no kidding! We ordered the meal, with honey mustard, fries and a salad - perfect meal to start the weekend.

Okay this place is easy to miss if you don't know it's there. The bar itself gives off hole in the wall vibes, you wouldn't know it's there unless you live nearby, since I had passed it several times before realizing it was a pub. The pub is pretty dark and it's not super fancy, so I think it's best for pick up orders for food since it's kind of dark inside, or going for a couple beers in the evening. The bar tender who is usually where is really nice. That said it was pretty good - I love their pickle and ranch pizza. It's very salty but so worth it if you're craving salty things like pickles! The fries were pretty good too.

What a great local spot. I love the historic ambiance and the amazing service. I opted for the fish and chips, which were absolutely DELECTABLE. I finished every last bite, which I rarely do. The back patio was quiet when we were there, but it is such a cute spot. I'm sure it gets packed when it's warmer outside. This is a perfect, cozy local watering hole and if I am ever back in Richmond, I'll return.

What a great place! The quintessential dive bar, with great music and James is such an awesome bartender I'm thinking of changing my name!

The cauliflower wings were HUGE and the whole table enjoyed them. My partner got the vegan artichoke ("GWARtichoke") burger with tofu ricotta and that was awesome too. Our friend got the tofu banh mi and enjoyed it as well. And there are several more vegan options we didn't get to try this time. Will definitely be back. The atmosphere is.. GWAR! Very neat. And they have a parking lot which is so convenient. Did not love the plastic silverware in little disposable packs. (For dining in, real metal utensils are much appreciated pleeeease). Service wasn't super friendly but maybe it's part of the GWAR schtick (they weren't mean at all, just not the most hospitable). We didn't mind anyway. The food came out fast and they got all our orders right. You order at the bar so it's not like you have a server anyway.

So let me start with this- Everyone should go for the experience. The ambience and GWAR nostalgia…read moreare off the chain. The service was mediocre at best. We actually wondered if it was supposed to be a "Dicks Last Resort " kinda vibe. (The waiter was just this side of rude). The food was ok. The only thing we couldn't get down was the pretzel. It was so salty just looking at it made blood pressure rise. Even with all that though you should still go. It's a fun vibe. Sit and have a beer and take in all the nostalgia.

Liverpool was playing and I imagine it's a great space to watch this if that's your speed. Sunday lunch menu had a good mixture of things. I was drawn into the special, which was a pork belly quiche with Irish cheese and green onions. This was ultimately quite fine. Big quiche fan but this wasn't my favorite crust nor my favorite cheese. And if I hadn't been told there was meat in it I'm not sure I would have noticed. The side salad had a nice balsamic dressing. What was most bothersome, though, was the size of the quiche. It was cheap enough but not really a lunch potion. Wish I had gone with a sanwich. Drinks were good-pretty standard. The service was astounding and everyone was so nice. Probably wouldn't come back for the food but if you want to watch some football (soccer) it's a nice option.

From the outside, the building has this classic warehouse vibe that fits right in with the historic feel of the area. There's a big sign so you can't really miss it, and the overall look is super inviting if you're into that old-school industrial style. When you up to the entrance, you'll go up the stairs to find the staff checking your tickets. Once you're inside, the place opens up into a big, open floor plan with a solid mix of standing room and a few spots to sit along the wall. The layout works well for concerts, the sightlines are good, and everything feels close to the stage even if you're not right up front. The inside keeps that warehouse feel going. It's exposed brick, high ceilings, just a bit gritty in a cool way. The bar is off to the side and stretches pretty long, so grabbing a drink was quick! Bartenders were friendly and the drink selection covers the basics. Nothing wild, but you'll find everything you need for a good night out. I went to see Jutes for the first time, and it was such an awesome show. The energy in the room was electric, and the sound quality was surprisingly clear for a venue this size. Everyone seemed to be having a great time, and you could feel the crowd's excitement the whole set! This was definitely a solid spot for live music in Richmond.
