The burger and the pizza were superb. Took a little while to get our food, but we had a very big group. This place has very good history. I suggest St. John church then coming here to have the full experience.

First time in the dining room last night - great experience! We were the only ones but went for an early dinner so not too surprising. Bartender/server Swan was super helpful, not too pushy or inattentive. I had the Philly. It was SO BIG! And delicious. My friend had the fish and chips. We really enjoyed our meal and service. Nice quiet spot for an affordable meal.

Had a great visit with my pups. I'm stuck on keto, but they have an amazing gf pizza here and Ibordered supreme. They brought water bowls for the dogs and service was stellar. The ambiance was great w natural shade all over the patio. Atmosphere was great! This is a gem--can't wait to go inside when I'm not w my dogs. 5 stars!

Hidden gem? I guess if you want to call it that - this place is authentically dive-bar Richmond. Essentially a remodeled old home turned pub with a nice historic feel. We sat at the bar and it was actually busier than expected - affordable drinks with a hometown feel. The kind of place I would love to take my buddies to when showing off Richmond because something about it just feels important. Would recommend to anyone wandering around in Church Hill!

A few weeks ago my husband and I were sitting at the Emerald Lounge and a local recommended Patrick Henry's Pub and said that their chicken tenders were to die for. Low and behold Friday night we walked down the hill to the pub - best decision of the day! OK seriously, best chicken tenders ever, no kidding! We ordered the meal, with honey mustard, fries and a salad - perfect meal to start the weekend.

The food was great, we had the pub fries and sausage roll for appetizers and pan roasted chicken and jalapeño popper beyond burger. We wanted to get dessert but just didn't have room. Brittany was our server and was very friendly and personable. Great experience will definitely be back.

Okay this place is easy to miss if you don't know it's there. The bar itself gives off hole in the wall vibes, you wouldn't know it's there unless you live nearby, since I had passed it several times before realizing it was a pub. The pub is pretty dark and it's not super fancy, so I think it's best for pick up orders for food since it's kind of dark inside, or going for a couple beers in the evening. The bar tender who is usually where is really nice. That said it was pretty good - I love their pickle and ranch pizza. It's very salty but so worth it if you're craving salty things like pickles! The fries were pretty good too.

What a great local spot. I love the historic ambiance and the amazing service. I opted for the fish and chips, which were absolutely DELECTABLE. I finished every last bite, which I rarely do. The back patio was quiet when we were there, but it is such a cute spot. I'm sure it gets packed when it's warmer outside. This is a perfect, cozy local watering hole and if I am ever back in Richmond, I'll return.

We've only ever dined on the patio at Patrick Henry's, but it's such a lovely patio and it's dog friendly, so we love to come here with Frankie. The patio is accessible from a door in the fence on the 23rd St. side, but it sticks, so if they're open and you're coming through with dog in tow, it might need a little extra push. The service has always been super friendly and spot on. They have a part-time resident that might stop by if you're on the patio named Paddy, the very cute and friendly cat that lives there/in the area. The food is great. The classic burger is my favorite. We've had the pulled pork wontons (great), and the quesadilla (greater) for starters and recommend them both. Definitely a great neighborhood restaurant that you should absolutely try.

Everything on the menu was a 5, okay I make my own gravy and it wasn't that (but it was good, and a little salty but very good with the bangers and mash. ) Bangers & mash very good! Burger very good! Jalapeño poppers awesome. The curry fries with chicken tenders and onions will blow your mind with flavor. Wow on the reubin and the turkey avocado sandwiches. Had a waitress that laughed. Liverpool was playing and I imagine it's a great space to watch this if that's your speed. Sunday lunch menu had a good mixture of things. I was drawn into the special, which was a pork belly quiche with Irish cheese and green onions. This was ultimately quite fine. Big quiche fan but this wasn't my favorite crust nor my favorite cheese. And if I hadn't been told there was meat in it I'm not sure I would have noticed. The side salad had a nice balsamic dressing. What was most bothersome, though, was the size of the quiche. It was cheap enough but not really a lunch potion. Wish I had gone with a sanwich. Drinks were good-pretty standard. The service was astounding and everyone was so nice. Probably wouldn't come back for the food but if you want to watch some football (soccer) it's a nice option.

I absolutely adore the Cask Cafe!…read more ***LOCATION*** The Cask Cafe is located in The Fan. It's down Robinson St not far from Pizza & Beer of Richmond. There is free street parking around and it's not too hard to find. It's also close to the 5 bus. ***EXPERIENCE*** I don't come here often, but when I do I adore it. They have the absolute best sausages in town. If you're going to get anything, order the panini with kielbasa and your pick of melted cheese. It's heaven. If you're a beer person, you're in for a treat. They have so many types to pick from. There is outdoor and indoor seating. When the weather is nice, they open the windows and let a great breeze in. The people who work here are really cool and kind. If you can't do a cheese dish, order the Full Cask, that way you can try another incredible sausage and an assortment of goodies. ***PRICE*** They have great prices here. It's affordable and worth it for their beer and sausages. ***BATHROOM*** They have single mixed gendered bathrooms here. ***CONCLUSION*** If you're looking for good beer, good food, and a good time The Cask Cafe is a great place for you. It's super casual and a wonderful, cozy spot. I highly recommend checking it out.
