Great, fluffy soufflé Japanese pancakes. Multiple flavours - we tried matcha tiramisu and blueberry cheese. Be warned - it just opened and is v popular! Great coffees, lattes and teas as well. Japanese cheesecake is available - regular and burnt caramel and other flavours. A novel treat - return to try them all!

This my 2nd visit to Fuwa Fuwa...my first visit we had the tiramisu soufflé pancakes...it was delicious, light and flavourful . I ordered the hazelnut espresso to go with it...so yummy. My 2nd visit we decided to try the blueberry cheese soufflé pancakes and I would say this is my favourite...it was sweet and savoury...the blueberry was a nice complement to complete the dish. it was very busy as it take about 18-20 minutes to make the pancakes. They make fresh batter as you order...it is not pre-make batter. I can taste the fresh ingredients in every bite...it is a must try.

Literally the fluffiest pancakes I have ever had! I wasn't sure what to expect when I first tried them, but I was very happy with the experience! Like I said, the pancakes themselves were so light and fluffy, and there were so many options of different topping to try! Just be aware that it takes time to make these pancakes properly, and if the restaurant is busy it can be a bit of a wait (I think we waited just short of 30 minutes before we got ours). They also have a large drink menu, and everything is available for dine in or take away.

Lumberjacks is another restaurant I have re-discovered since moving to the deep south side…read more I had eaten here a number of times, years ago but had not given it much thought until I recently found myself driving past regularly. I went in a few weeks ago, and had an omelette in the "Sportsman's Lounge" and found it quite good. With this in my mind, I decided to break fast on a recent Sunday, and chose the main restaurant. It was a little disconcerting to go in at 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon and find the place completely empty. A server came out and reassured me the "lunch rush" had just ended, and that they were still open. I was seated, given a menu and ordered coffee. The menu is not as full as it was in my former days here, but there were a good number of breakfast options, which was why I was here. Having perused the menu, I opted for the "Southwest Breakfast Wrap," which stuck my fancy. The food took about 30 minutes to appear, which surprised me, as I was the only patron in the restaurant. There was just the one server, and her appearances were sporadic, at best. When the wrap landed it looked pretty good, but I have to say... the only way this could be described as "Southwest" was if it was prepared in the southwest corner of the kitchen. When I think "Southwest," I think of piquante dishes, with spice and Mexican flavours. This wrap was entirely devoid of seasoning, and the salsa was from a jar, with no spark what so ever. They were kind enough to provide an extra ramkin of the salsa which went untouched. The ketchup had more flavour and heat. On the plus side, the potatoes were quite tasty, and the coffee was decent. Restaurant - 3/5 Dated decor and a little creepy when dead empty. Food - 2/5 The flavour profile of a cafeteria in a senior's home. Service - 3.5/5 The server was pleasant, when I actually saw her. I am not sure when I may return, as there are so many better options.

We would go back in a heartbeat, just need to sleep off the food coma for a while. It's bright and airy in spite of the smallish space and the amount of booths and tables, oh and you can sit at the counter. The walls and ceiling are covered in memorabilia, concert banners and what not. The place was absolutely hopping at 12:45 PM, but we were sat in a booth right away. Waters dropped moments later, asked if we needed coffee, tea or whatever else you wanted to drink. Our server was fantastic, explaining and educating us as we were first timers. The food came out piping hot very quickly and our tea ordered after the food was dropped came in a large teapot and hot just like at home. The clubhouse, which I did not have, has house made ham and turkey according to our server. My corn beef had slices of corn beef that did not taste house made, but the sheer volume of meat I couldn't finish, the eggs were cooked perfectly. K's Mexicasa omelette was excellent with the Mexican meat the star. I know why the place is consistently full, it's that good. Definite redo when back in West Edmonton

The corned beef has had mashed potatoes which is different from what I'm used to but it was tasty nonetheless. My husband substituted the pancakes in his meal for pan fried potatoes. The place was super busy even though it was around 2pm and was still packed when we left. They seated us quickly as we were willing to sit at a table but we could've waited for a booth. The servers were friendly and fast which was perfect for us as I needed to get to an appointment. It's a relatively small restaurant with many patrons. It's definitely got that old diner vibe which is always fun once in a while. If you're looking for a solid, traditional diner experience, you can't for wrong with Rockin' Robyn's.

We are regular, loyal customers, which made this experience even more disappointing. When we contacted the restaurant, the management showed no concern and took no responsibility for the quality of the food. Instead of offering to replace the pizza--even though we live just two blocks away--they insisted we deal with Skip for a refund. When I explained that we would no longer be ordering or having dinner because of this, they still refused to help and continued to push the issue back onto Skip. The lack of accountability and customer care was extremely frustrating. This situation could have been easily resolved by simply sending out a fresh pizza, but instead, we were left feeling ignored and undervalued as customers.

I grant you it is rough around the edges and in a bit of a rough neighbourhood, but the food, seriously, is so good! My husband's been coming here for awhile now and raving about the food. So he finally convinced me to give it a try. I'm so glad he did. I was pleasantly surprised. Now as I said there are a few rough edges, the bathrooms are quite rough. And the booths are a bit tired, they could use some refurbishing. But the service here is great, awesome servers and the food was not too slow. It's definitely not the ritz, but the food is honest and delicious.
