I'd come back if I'm in the neighborhood, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

This place was suuuuper cute. The vibe was great and it's beautifully decorated. I enjoyed both my…read moredrinks, as well as the rock shrimp & teriyaki burger. Really good. But I have two reasons for only rating it a 3-star. One, the bathroom. Super dark, super cramped, with only one sink. And second, the mouse. We had already eaten and enjoyed our meal and decided to order another drink when we saw the mouse right in the server's station. And no one batted an eye. So I would assume workers could be used to it. While I understand the area and how difficult it can be to keep pests at bay. It's extremely disturbing after having a meal somewhere and seeing that. I didn't want to give a 1-star since the food was good. So I wanted to at least give credit where credit is due. But mice? Yikes. It takes the experience down several notches.

The staff were very nice and friendly, and this is a great, laidback place to have breakfast. There is a large parking lot in front of the restaurant; paid parking only. The wait staff is horrible. We had to get up from our table and go hunt them down just to get a menu, then to order coffee, and for everything else. The atmosphere is nice because it is right on the Strand. But given the VERY high prices, the nothing special food and menu options, and the lousy wait staff - I would pass on this place.

The hostess, bus boy, and food runner all did a fine job...but our server did absolutely nothing. After the hostess quickly seated us, we sat there for 20 minutes when my husband finally got up to ask the hostess if our server could come by. Another 10 minutes went by and just as we were about to leave the hostess came to the table to take our order. After our order was taken, a server dropped off drinks to our table after mistakenly delivering them to the table next to us. No hello, no "can I get you anything else"...nothing. I should also say that the busboy did bring us water about 10 minutes after we were seated. During this whole time we watched two servers walk past our table multiple times without one glance over to our table. We were literally sitting in front of the main entrance, so it's not like they didn't know we were there. One woman, who I think was our actual server, was too busy socializing with friends and taking sips out of their drinks to bother with us. It was actually ridiculous how terrible the service was. And unfortunately, the sticky table, dirty chairs, and mediocre food did not make up for the terrible service. This was an extremely disappointing experience after deciding to spend the last Friday of summer break having dinner at the beach. Management, this was on Friday, August 7th at 6:45pm. I highly recommend having a talk with your staff and retraining them on how to provide adequate customer service to your guests.

We were sat in this sunroom looking area with a menagerie of varying decor. Burgers caught our eye and we got the CA roll, spicy tuna, and the money (PB&J). All of them were amazing, especially my CA roll. It was probably one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The crab really took the burger to another level and it's something I'd order over and over again. The Money was good - reminds me of the peanut butter and jealousy at Slater 50/50. Peanut butter on anything and I'm already a fan. For starter we got the cauliflower wings. Also delicious. Packed with flavor. We opted for the garlic parm. Overall great place. Service was fantastic. if the rest of the food is as good as the burgers were, I'd definitely come back to try their other offerings.

We came here for a birthday, plus they're in my red dining book, so I was hoping our little group would pick Edgemar, and thankfully they did! We started with the stracciatella and man, was that dish good. It was one of the two standouts. The bread is delectable and the cheese with the chili was absolutely divine. I actually think this was my very favorite dish. I will be back for this dish alone! We also shared the wontons, butter lettuce gem salad, and wonton spring rolls which were all very solid dishes. Next we had the salmon which was undoubtedly the other stand out dish. It was so good with the miso butter sauce! And the broccolini were cooked perfectly! We finished with the squid ink pasta. The shrimp on top was perfectly cooked and the pasta itself was the perfect texture with a great mouth feel. As mentioned earlier, everyone on the staff truly went above and beyond. We had an issue with our drinks, they made it right right away without any pushback. They made sure that the birthday girl felt extra special. And they even gave us a special treat at the end as well. The interior decorating is absolutely stunning. They've done a great job with furniture selection, and the wood throughout is impressive. I did have to swing around the block to look for parking, it you always have to do that in this part of Santa Monica.

We had been wanting to try this place for a while and couldn't move the date but music was completely fine with us. The music was actually great! It was a private event indoors so we sat outside on the patio. Unfortunately, the food was only ok and the service was not ideal. No one acknowledged our anniversary, throughout the entire evening even though it was in the open table reservation notes. The shrimp and chicken dumplings were amazing. The Hamachi sashimi was very fatty and there was a few pieces we couldn't eat. The fried chicken sandwich was OK although it tasted very simple for $26. At the end of the dinner we got the bill with a 2.5% service fee + 20% auto gratuity for "event". I normally tip this much but I found so I don't mind that it was automatically included, but it was odd we paid an auto 20% gratuity for an event we were not a part of - we weren't even seated inside where the private event was taking place. Unfortunately, the three stars comes down to the fact that even though it was our 10th anniversary, there was no acknowledgment of the special day and the food was sub-par.

The service is REALLY BAD, it took almost 15min just to get a waiter/waitress (when the place was basically empty). When we finally got one (who I suppose didn't think telling us her name was important at all...), it was as if ordering food from her was a total inconvenience to her day when the place wasn't even crowded... The food was not very good either. The ceviche came out extremely fishy and when I told the server this she did not apologize nor try to make it right and gave us a ton of attitude, verbatim saying "what do you want me to do about it? They can't remake it; it's already made and is too tough for the kitchen to remake" - which tells me they are still feeding fishy ceviche to other people, which is alarming and she acted as if I should just eat it anyways... [this was a younger blonde girl in a hat] very strange behavior and extremely poor hospitality. The drinks are super watered down with too much mixer and hardly any alcohol. My girlfriend's fried chicken sandwich was super dry (she didn't finish it as a result) and my burger was pretty awful with little flavor (and very overcooked/charcoaled). The chicken dippers were ok, nothing special - super overfried to be honest (I guess the sauces were decent tho?). The french fries and broccolini may have been the best parts, which is alarming when the sides are significantly better than the mains (and even they weren't very good and had a TON of salt - the broccolini was the only thing we finished). The chips and guacamole were pretty flavorless and we left most of it uneaten. Overall, again, I recommend AVOIDING this place at all costs despite the appearance of a good ambiance just cause it's near the beach, as YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED and waste your money.

The N17 burger and fries (both the regular shoe string fries and sweet potato fries) were fantastic! Both were cooked just right, very flavorful, and the fries were nice and crispy.
