    Chicken Noodle soup
    Gene C.

Visiting a friend in Santa Monica, and stopped in for something to eat. One of the things I truly love is homemade chicken noodle soup. I always look for it on the menu, when I go out. This place had a good chicken noodle soup. It was a German take on chicken noodle soup. Different, but in a good way. Employees were nice and the place was clean. A cool little deli, with a large selections of treats.

Great breakfast! Good size portions, reasonably priced, great service and it was nice eating outside. Great music also. Good family place to eat. Most seating for large parties will be outside. Inside the deli market it is mostly seating for 2. Dogs friendly place.

We love Shoops. It's been a little tradition to go every so often and get the best pancakes and stroll around the area .Service has always been great even when there is some waiting time they do a good job to get everyone in. I miss it already can't wait to go back . It's very doggie friendly they get pups their water cup too . And such a nice family environment too never fails that I end up talking to someone when I visit .

BBQ Chicken Sandwich and German Potato Salad

It's not often that I'd give a 5 star review for a sandwich but Shoop's European Deli on Main Street in Santa Monica filled my tummy with goodness today. After a visit to Dog Ppl, my friend and I and our two pooches grabbed some lunch at Shoop's. There are many German options, as well as other European treats to choose from. The chocolates, cheeses, and other goods make this a friendly, well-stocked fun place to eat. We shared two sandwiches. The Tuna Melt was delicious and served with yummy coleslaw. We also loved the BBQ Chicken sandwich with grilled chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese, avocado, greens, tomatoes, mayo, and BBQ sauce on ciabatta with the best German Potato Salad that I've ever tasted! I can't wait to back to Shoop to experience breakfast too.

One of the most consistently good breakfast spots in Santa Monica. Don't think of it as a traditional deli, it is more so a breakfast and lunch spot that has a very large and diverse menu. One thing I love about this place is they have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating so whatever you're in the mood for you'll be able to get. Parking is also extremely easy, there is a giant pay lot directly behind the restaurant or you can look for metered street parking. Our waiter was extremely polite and everything that we ordered came out shortly after ordering it. Inside is pretty large, larger than it looks from the street, so they can host many different sized groups. For this visit, I ordered one of their most famous dishes, which is the Pancakes with Bacon inside it. As you would guess they were very good and filling, and I would order them again. They have a lot of great options on the menu so it's easy to get something new each time. I would suggest if you are in the area.

We went for brunch and all got pancakes. It was a very welcoming space. We sat on the patio with our dog and waiter brought out a nice little chicken treat for her! They had savory pancakes on the menu and I knew I would be missing out if I didn't try them. I got the tomato basil savory pancake and it was so good! Pesto was light and the egg was cooked perfectly.

Salmon sand which, pancakes, Roast Beef And Swiss

Came here on a Sunday and there wasn't direction on where to sit or meet host. We were seated after being asked if we would like to order. The roast beef sandwich was really tasty, coleslaw was delicious and Russian dressing complimented the sand which well. Potato salad was delicious, it had bacon and you really tasted the vinegar but overall it was a nice balance. The service wasn't the best, we had to wait to ask for water and we ended up just grabbing our own Togo boxes and went inside to pay. Good food but wish we had better service.

We got here around 12:30PM on a Sunday and they ran out of the smoked salmon :( definitely come here early to get it because it has to be good. We got the bacon pancakes, gravlax and the bacon cheddar scramble. Food was solid all around

Looking for somewhere to eat in Santa Monica that wouldn't break the bank I found this, but it was quite the walk. We decided to go for it cause who doesn't love a good deli. Stop in the way for coffee and continued on a long walk. It was well worth it There is a line for takeout. Or you could sit down and there was table service. We each got a sandwich and shared half half. The food was fresh delicious and amazing. I was pleasantly surprised by the soft flavorful bread. This is not gourmet or fancy just a solid, good deli sandwich Bravo

Many restaurants boast European style food but Shoop's really brings fusion to LA. Through their smoked salmon, it's a unique cuisine beyond lox bagels. The salmon pancake is a delicious slightly sweet and savory, with the dill sauce on the side. The salmon baguette and the ham omelette are brunch staples they have not failed. The outdoor seating is very relaxed, we got seated immediately and got to enjoy weekend sun. In addition, the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, they are so warm to welcome you and answers questions about the menu. Lastly, the interior of the place is super cool because it's also a pantry store for all sorts of dried and imported goods.

Very good very consistent and one of the few outdoor seating diners in Santa Monica. They have a German market inside and a good selection of German beers

Just such lovely sandwiches honestly! You can't go wrong with anything on their menu as every sandwich is fresh and flavorful. My friend and I ordered ahead through a call and we were able to pick up our sandwiches within 20 minutes. It was super easy to do so and our sandwiches were fantastic to-go options. Couldn't be happier with the staff members we interacted with. Everyone was so kind and attentive. I had the chicken pesto sandwich and it was perfect. The pesto was fresh, the chicken was perfectly grilled, and the baguette was just every bread lovers dream. Their portions are definitely hearty, so depending on the day I could eat the sandwich in one go or get two meals out of it.

This place was a surprising find. The white sausage with kraut was LEKKER! Nice outdoor dining & attentive service top off the experience.

If you're visiting the area, I highly recommend making a stop here. My biggest piece of advice is to go early because it gets incredibly busy by lunchtime--and for good reason! Keep in mind they are closed on Monday and Tuesday. While you can order online, I'll always choose to go inside so I can browse everything they have to offer. Their selection of fresh pasta salads is fantastic, and the desserts are always tempting. Whether you're craving lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, a chicken Parmesan sandwich, or one of their many other Italian specialties, you really can't go wrong. Be sure to check out the wine section in the back left of the market. It's extensive and absolutely incredible! This is the kind of place that keeps people coming back year after year, and it's easy to see why. Being Italian American and growing up with an Italian mother who loved feeding everyone, this was one of our favorite places to visit together. Those memories make every trip here even more special. My personal favorite is the Godmother sandwich--hands down one of the best you'll ever have. It's packed with flavor, made with quality ingredients, and it's the sandwich I find myself craving every time I come back. One of the things I love most about this place is the atmosphere. It has an energy that immediately makes you think of family. Everyone is genuinely kind, welcoming, and happy to help, making you feel right at home the moment you walk through the door. It has that warm, old-school Italian family vibe that's becoming harder and harder to find, and it's a big part of what makes this place so special.

The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the ingredients are refreshingly simple. I really appreciate that they don't use fake processed meats -- they keep it straightforward, yet the sandwiches are still outstanding. The bread deserves a mention too: crisp on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside. I rarely hand out five stars, but they've earned it here. Making sandwiches taste this good with such simple and whole ingredients is no easy feat, yet they pull it off nicely. Highly recommend this spot for both carnivores and vegans alike!

I would definitely appreciate like a marinated tofu slice or even slab or tempeh with the existing dressings/sauces. The old sport had the chickpeas so we'll get that next time. My partner was obsessed with the walnut date syrup brownie.
