If you're a foodie, you NEED to try this truck!!! And if you're not a foodie, this truck will make you one! The best Peruvian style sandwiches in LA, possibly in all the world. The employees are so lovely and kind and the food speaks for itself. Absolutely delicious. 10/10 recommend.

I've had these photos sitting in my camera roll for quite some time, and I kept telling myself,…read more"I'll leave a review soon." When I finally logged into Yelp to do just that, I was genuinely saddened to see that this place has since closed. It honestly broke my heart, because this was one of those dining experiences that truly stayed with me. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was stunning--beautiful rooftop vibes, warm energy, and a space that immediately made you feel like you were about to experience something special. The food itself was absolutely phenomenal. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully executed, beautifully plated, and bursting with flavor. You could taste the care, creativity, and intention behind each bite. The Peruvian inspiration throughout the menu was both authentic and elevated, striking the perfect balance between comfort and sophistication. One of the most memorable parts of the experience was the chef herself coming out to introduce herself. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and passionate. You could tell she truly poured her heart into her food. She took the time to explain the inspiration behind the dishes, and it made the entire meal feel even more meaningful. That level of personal touch is rare and so appreciated. Looking back at these photos now just reminds me how special this place was. Delicious food, a talented and thoughtful chef, and an overall experience that left a lasting impression. It's such a shame this spot is no longer around, because it truly deserved all the love and recognition. If the chef ever opens another concept, I will absolutely be first in line. Thank you for such a memorable meal--this is one I won't forget.

It's a small open air space, and it can get full right at dinner time, but if you go right as they open at 5pm, you'll be fine without reservations. The menu is limited, but it's all delicious! The Yuca Fries are a must! Fried and topped with chorizo. All of the sides sounded really good, but these are the best! The thigh meat chicken skewers are perfectly sauced, and can be ordered as an appetizer to be shared by two. All of the main dishes are meant to be shared. The prices are up there for the portions, but it's all a real treat for the taste buds, and the view is great! Highly recommend.

They do not mess around with their portion sizes! I got the lomo saltado and that could literally be split between three people. The meat was juicy and tender and the fries and onions and tomatoes were cooked very well. The rice was also well prepared. Even though I don't really drink soda, I had to get the traditional Peruvian Inca soda which pairs so nicely with the food. They also start you off with the fresh yummy bread and butter. The staff is very sweet and the service is really good. The prices are extremely reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes. They have a parking lot that is shared with the other business in the strip mall. The place is popular and will get busy on Fridays and weekends especially. But worth the wait.

This place deserves a great review. We got here in a Sunday night at 7pm and they close at 8pm. Quite a few people ahead of us and all the tables were full and it seemed like many of them were still getting their food. Plan ahead to go well before they close. Of course we went with our favorite: Steak Lomo Saltado. Always sooooo good. Some reviewers did say that the steak pieces are tough and dry and I can see that. But we have never had that problem. The french fries, onions and steak all pan fried together was soft and juicy. With the side of rice it's a large plate of food. Excellent! We decided to try the Beef Fried Rice this time. Kind of an Asian style pan fried rice with the same steak pieces. Some green onion and eggs and the fact that it was moist and mixed with a juice made it surprisingly good. So surprised that this dish was so good. The reason why I said go well before they close is because when we and another three person group for seated, the waitress said that they don't have anymore steak. So anything but steak and shrimp dishes are available. All of us were so disappointed. The waitress said she will check one time and asked what we were going to order. Between the two tables, we're going to order two Steak Lomo Saltado and one beef fried rice. She came back and said they have just enough steak for those three dishes. Tragedy averted, dinner turned out great but if you are going and intend to or a steak dish, make sure you go well before they close. But overall this is still our favorite Peruvian spot.

Dried bread and dipping sauces were brought while we perused the menu. Our food came quick. First was the chicken soup we ordered as an appetizer. It was delicious! Warning - the red salsa side dish is super hot. We tested it first, added a small splash, and loved it. Next was a sliced beef and marinated onion sandwich. It was well filled and really tasty, our favorite of the night. The green salsa that comes with it is a perfect compliment - savory and spicy like a molé, but not too hot. We will order this again. Then came the beef heart, not a dish for everyone, but a personal favorite. Seasoned with a great dry rub and cooked on wood skewers, it was on par with the best yakitori I have ever had. What made it even better, however, were the sides. The hominy was perfectly chewy and seasoned. Mixed with the green salad, the potato chunks, and some of the green and white dipping sauces, well, it was an excellent compliment to the dense beefiness of the roasted heart chunks. OTOH, the salsa that comes with the beef heart, while full of chopped scallions and such, was far too sour for my taste. It was like pure lime juice. I tasted it and set it aside, only adding a few bits into my mix of sides. The final nice touch was the price. Total for three dishes was $40 before tax and tip. We will be back. The closest public parking lot is a couple blocks to the north, but we found a metered spot right out front. I didn't like that the meter needed a credit card or app, but that's the way things are going.

The ceviche had the freshest seafood but was also very sour. My eyes got a workout from involuntarily squinting from the sourness. It paired well with the choclo, corn nuts (forgot the name), and sweet potato. The lomo saltado was good but I'd recommend having it before the ceviche (before your taste buds go for a wild ride). Service was impeccable and I've never felt so well tended to, in such a warm, hospitable way too. Definitely a gem in Highland Park and I'd love to come back to try their rotisserie chicken.
