He came out personally and asked if it was our first time visiting, and right away you could tell how much he genuinely cares about his customers, his restaurant, and the quality of service they provide. Juan took the time to share some of the history of the restaurant, which has been around for over 45 years, and how it has evolved throughout that time. What stood out to me most was how much appreciation he showed for his staff and chef, many of whom have been with the restaurant for over 20 years. He spoke about them with a lot of gratitude and made it clear that he sees them as a major part of the restaurant's success. He was also extremely knowledgeable about the food. He explained some of their recipes, what makes them special, and how they use authentic Peruvian ingredients. You could really hear the pride and passion he has for maintaining the quality and authenticity of what they serve. He also shared how social media, Yelp, Instagram, TikTok, and especially the support of customers have helped the business continue to grow. What I appreciated was how humble and grateful he was about it. After 45 years in business, you could still see how much every person who walks through the door means to him.
