The gentleman that helped me (appeared to be the manager maybe) was INSANELY kind, helpful, informative and a true staple to what customer service should be. I tip my hat to this guy as he made me want to come back immediately! Helped me with my order and questions as well as some tips and suggestions for my next visit. I tried some crab Rangoon's.. yummmy! A veggie roll... good (but prefer colder so I brought home to refrigerate) and a bowl with shrimp, broccoli, cucumbers, corn, avocado, cream cheese, noodles (his suggestion) and sweet chili sauce (his suggestion) and although I would have preferred them cooked a little longer (I didn't ask) it turned out magnificent! First time here - found it from a Yelp search. We both ordered bowls. Crab and tuna with rice poke bowl, and a chicken hibachi bowl with noodle. Both were good and fresh. The gyoza came out hot with a tasty sauce, had a little kick. The kitty robot server was fun, so I recommend eating in and getting that experience. Will return! I want to start by giving Fusabowl full marks for being open on New Year's Day when my friend was starving. (Figuratively. I wouldn't let her die. At least if she's reading this.) They're one of the build-your-own concepts, taking it to the interesting conclusion of being able to assemble your own poke bowl OR sushi roll. Never been to a BYO roll place before, so I decided to have some fun with it. I did the fried roll - extra reminder for frying - with tuna, avocado, carrot, cucumber. They take everything in stick form and wrap it in your choice of wrap. In my case, they then tempura bread and deep-fry it. In contrast, my friend put together a shrimp bowl that was good enough to bring back the rice at the end, so I suppose that's a good number of stars for her. For me... 3 but a strong 3. It's not the most delicate sushi fish you've ever tried. I think the strength of Fusabowl is in the gimmick of making everything the way you like. The food quality is good but not wow. Customer service is good but a little slow and took some repeating to get things straight. So I learned a few things at Fusa. When you deep fry raw fish, it cooks. (So don't do that.) Avocado melts away to nothing when it cooks, or else they give you minimal avo to start. Also, tempura around sushi is amazing and I hope they find a way to fix the first issue. If I lived in Cinci, I might come back here for an occasional fried roll, but I don't see myself as a regular. read more

First time ordering and even though they advertise delivery with DoorDash, I had to use UberEats bc they weren't showing up on DD. (I am 8 mi from the store) I ordered the chicken hibachi with all the veggies. I added sauce, lettuce and avocado, assuming they would be delivered separate from the warm chicken and veggies. Presentation was horrible and the only thing tasty was the chicken. Soggy lettuce and warm avocado is disgusting. The rolls were the worst sushi rolls I've ever had. Again, packaged on top of the warm chicken bowl so the sushi was warm. Warm and sushi is nasty. The rainbow roll had shredded, dry crab in the center and that was all. The salmon roll was also warm and overall tasteless. I could not eat this almost $50 order and my husband barely finished his portion. Tried out this restaurant and was well pleased. The place was clean and had good lighting. I like the way that I could create my own food by choosing between fusabowl, sushi roll or salad bowl. For instance, by me choosing the fusabowl, I could pick between white rice, brown rice, rice noodles or fried rice. After that I could select my protein between chicken, steak, shrimp, eel, tofu, shrimp tempura, crab, tuna or salmon. What a long list of things to try! Pick your vegetables amongst carrot, avocado, cucumber, lettuce, cilantro, onion, jalapeno, broccoli, corn, along with cream cheese or cheddar cheese. Opt between 11 different sauces then 5 different things you could top it with. The three of us really enjoyed the food and will be back again. read more

Don't do delivery. So mushy it's not edible. I've tried twice and both times the food arrives soggy/mushy and lacking in flavors because the sauce the douse it with takes over every flavor. I've eaten at the restaurant before and had a good experience. I won't be getting delivery again. Deep fried tempura rolls should be crunchy, not soggy and mushy. I only live maybe 8 minutes away so it's not like it was sitting for a long time in a car for delivery. Don't do deep fried option... you'll get more soggy breading/dough than you will actually sushi roll. I ate what I could of my $40 order, which wasn't much. And now I feel like crap. Food was good. It's just a little different than Poke bowls in California. They cook the veggies and use jasmine rice instead of sticky rice. It was good just the whole vibe of bowl is not really poke. Might go back but will ask for sticky rice(since they do sushi rolls) and ask not to cook my veggies. read more

What a great place. We gave it a try the other day. Place is very clean and bright on the inside. The people working there were great and very helpful. As others have commented, you go through the line and can customize your order, like some other restaurants, just the way you want it. So my predicament was that I wanted to try one of their Bowls, but I also wanted to try some Sushi. Turns out they have an item on the menu called "Snap Sushi Wrap" which turns out to be a half order of their regular sushi. It was 5 or 6 pieces for $3.95. I got the Crunch Crab sushi. It was delicious and so fresh. They make it up fresh and bring it to your table. I thought the pieces were very big. Now I also wanted to try a bowl. Well, turns out since I was getting the snap sushi wrap I could also get a "kids meal", which is just a smaller size bowl. I had the chicken with brown rice, then picked the vegetables I wanted, then picked the sauce and any toppings. It was wonderful. This is a place where you order at the counter so we weren't expecting what came next. From the moment we walked in Tom (or maybe his name was Tim) was inviting and funny as he thoroughly explained the menu, all our options for ordering and gave great recommendations. All this with a great sense of humor! When other customers came in behind us & we were concerned about holding them up from ordering, Tim seemed to know them and explained that they were new here at one time and received the same explanation. They smiled behind us in agreement. Tim has such a passion and flair for his job - unlike anyone I've ever seen at a "fast food" place! He treated everyone the same. I'd go there just for that experience alone! Oh, you want to know how the food tasted? We customized our fusion bowls based on Tim's personalized recommendations. Mine was noodle based with chicken, veggies and two sauces (eel and sweet hot chili I believe). Hubby's was rice and grilled tofu, same sauces. Pretty darn good! Noticed Fusabowl a couple of weeks ago and was driving through the same part of town this week so gave it a try. The gentleman that took my order was extremely helpful. He took time to walk through the options and the menu. I selected the poke bowl on sushi rice, an option not offered at many poke stops. To it, I added veggies and tuna. The bowl was delivered timely and I dug in. The real issue was the fish. Though plentiful, it wasn't the typical tuna that I'm accustomed to at poke or sushi places. It was tough to eat, not smooth and buttery. It also wasn't cut all the way through, leaving 2 or 3 pieces held together by itself. That was enough for me to not return. I hate saying things are "the Chipotle of {blank}" in this case Asian cuisine, but kind of true, and people understand it. First going in, it can be a little overwhelming. But just know, you can either pick from a menu (with things like general tso's chicken) or you can make your own. They do both entrees (bowls) and sushi. They have things numbered to help you out. You pick a rice type or noodles (noodles are excellent!) And pick your protein (or 2), then veggies and sauce(s). Same for sushi. They also have Snap Wraps, which are basically basic half rolls of sushi. You pick one protein, and 2 veggies, and whatever toppings. And you get 5-6 pieces. The bowls are a decent size. Me and hubby normally each get one and then split a snap wrap. I love the customization and employees are friendly and don't mind you trying to make up your mind! It can get a little cold if you eat in in the summer with the ac cranked, but that's my only complaint! read more

This is the second order I've received from this store that was completely inedible. What I ordered was a poke bowl with raw tuna and sriracha. What I received was a mess of well done tuna covered in 3-4 ounces of spicy sriracha sauce. Who the heck do they expect is going to eat a 1/5 of a bottle of sriracha? Everyone else has enough common sense to put a drizzle on top for flavor. I'm not making this up. There's so much sriracha that it made it all the way through to the rice. read more

I love this restaurant. I call ahead and place an order for pick up or walk in and order. This restaurant is sort of a subway/chipotle meets hibachi feel. You see the ingredients they use and can pretty much see your meal come together. I love their sushi and my boyfriend loves their bowls. The sushi pieces are about the diameter of a golf ball and each roll is about $7.25( They'll deep-fry any roll for you if that's your thing.) The crab Rangoon samples though Yelp check in were decent. However my entree was a big disappointment. I had the Fusa Bowl with grilled shrimp, brown rice, broccoli, corn and avocado with teriyaki sauce. The shrimp was the best part of the meal, the other items were pretty dismal. The rice had a mushy gloppy texture, the corn was tasteless and the broccoli was cut in very tiny pieces with long hard inedible pieces of stalk on each piece. Very strange. To top it all off, the environmentally friendly bowl (compostable within 30 days according to labeling) it was served in literally disintegrated while I was eating, leaving a huge hole in the bottom of the carry out container and a big mess! read more
