a very low selections of beds. Mostly boring pieces, the selection of couches is okay. you will find half or more of these at AFW for probably cheaper. A basic selection of leather furniture as well. If you want leather and are on a budget- this is a good place. If you want more of a selection and have a bigger budget, this is not the place for you. Customer service was great with one guy and not great with another. I think that varies in every store though. I like a sales person who wants to earn business not who judges who can and cant afford their crap! Overall, i'm not really impressed but we found one couch we liked but not enough to buy it! This review is on Furniture Row in general. Pretty interesting place to go and visit. I was surprised how empty the store was compared to AFW. Prices were just about the same you will find else where and quality not too bad either. Pro's: Decent items Knowledgable sales staff Clean & well organized Con's: Operation needs improvements! I found on two separate occasions the warehouse staff to be very unprofessional. When asked to remove packaging material it seemed to be a hassle. Seriously?! Also felt there was lack of training as my purchase was literally shoved into my truck. I was also disappointed at the fact the one bedroom set I did like and started purchasing was actually on close out. Lucky we were still able to find the dresser that matched our nightstands. Fantastic experience at Park Meadows location of Bedroom Expressions; sales staff were friendly and available- polite and informative, but not at all hovering or pushy (like A.F.W. staff). The quality of the furniture is SO MUCH BETTER than other "discount" furniture places. The first bedroom set I purchased at Bedroom Expressions is still in great shape after 16 years- my kiddo is now using it. This new bed will last at least that long! (Afw bed broke in three places in the last 6 months- told them to come get their crummy furniture and then I went straight to Furniture Row and got a new bed. I purchased a chair on October 29th and chose a different fabric. I was told that the chair will be 6-8 weeks. We quickly calculated when we might receive the chair. The 8th week started the week leading up to Christmas. I contacted the store on December 18th and was abruptly told by the man that answered the phone that there is no way for them to know the status of my chair and I would just have to wait until I hear from the store. When I pointed out that week 8 had just begun, he rudely told me that it takes 6-8 weeks. I contacted the store again today and was told that it was in the warehouse in Denver however it will not be in the store until next week. Week 9. My frustration is that I was told 6-8 weeks not 8-10 weeks. Retailers take away a customer's ability to make a choice and decision that works when they do not provide accurate information. I will never shop at Furniture Row again. American Furniture will always have my business from here on out!!! I just received a call from Sofa Mart offering to deliver my chair at not cost on Sunday Jan 1st. The sales person (Susan) that sold me the chair had understood my frustration and did what she could to get my chair to me this week. That is someone who understands that the quality of care that is given to the customer and the value of standing behind a promise or guarantee is equally if not more important in the item purchased. Unfortunately the company does not hold to Susan's values and if it were not for the fact that she was helping me, I am sure that I would have received the same treatment that I received when I called on December 18th. read more

We recently needed to buy a lot of furniture for a new place and decided to go to Furniture Row. It was the right choice for sure. From start to finish we got great service without any pressure at all. We ended up buying a kitchen table and chairs, a "silent butler", a king size mattress, a sofa, and a coffee table. They set us up with delivery of everything and it was flawless and no hassle. They showed up when they said they would, brought everything in, set it up, they were polite, and it was just a wonderful experience all the way around. And we love all our new furniture. read more

Even though they are more expensive then some big box furniture stores, I have been willing to pay the extra due to the quality of the furniture and the courteous manner treated. Both of those are still true. However the low rating is due to the fact that even though given a coarse greeting was given right away we had to wait an hour before we could purchase the bed for my daughter. Delivery was two weeks out. Upon delivery the incorrect pieces were packed and it took another 3 days before those could be delivered. Next, time I'll save the money and be happier with the aggravation knowing I pinched pennies. read more

Here's what I learned from shopping at this Furniture Row: if something seems too good to be true, it is. When my husband and I bought our first home we came here and furnished THE ENTIRE HOUSE. Everything we could possibly need, which is approximately $10,0000 for us. It seemed too easy. It seemed too good to be true. And it was. If you go here for the good deals, you're going to get tricked and lied to. They saw our budget and whole heartedly assured us that our furniture would be delivered today, and seamlessly. Well, except the "manager" at Denver Mattress who said he "couldn't count" on the other stores to deliver. He assured us out mattress would be here on Saturday. Another bold faced lie. Our furniture won't be here today. My husband has to take a day off work during the holidays to see if maybe they bring it tomorrow. Apparently, no one knew this until about 20 minutes before it was supposed to be here. Our daughter recently had heart surgery, she has a cardiologist appointment tomorrow. Their piss poor delivery system has created havoc for our family. They could care less. If you are going to schedule deliveries for your customers you damn well better meet your commitments. The discount we have been offered to compensate for having to miss a full day of work is less than the delivery fee. That's pathetic customer service. Don't even offer delivery if you're SO unreliable that if one driver calls in sick (yep, that's the story we're getting) that you have to not deliver at all. That had poor management written all over it. We are so disappointed. There goes a day of PTO that was needed for the holidays. They're poor management, nothing but our problem. SO, Here's a little update. We were just called and literally lied to by their staff. Now, rather than a staffing issue, the truck our furniture is on is "broken down". Not to mention they tried to make us feel guilty be as another crew has to "come in on their day off". REALLY? So, their mismanagement is our fault? If I work at a job where coverage is needed isn't it standard practice to call in another crew? What wasn't that done FIRST THING THIS MORNING SO THE DELIVERIES THEY COMMITED TO COULD GO OUT TODAY!!!!!! HORRIBLE!!!! Never and I mean NEVER buy anything from these guys. The second you walk out the door you are on your own. Bought a Love Seat and Chair. When picking up the employees loaded into the back of my truck and all seemed good. The items were shrink wrapped with heavy duty plastic. When we got home we unwrapped the items and found out the chair fabric was split down the side from being pulled too tight when it was made. Called Sofa Mart back and the sales people said it was no problem and a new chair would be in stock in two weeks. I wait two weeks, no phone call from Sofa Mart. I call back and there in no record of my issue. They assure me they will replace the chair but it will now be four weeks until the chair is in stock. I wait four weeks, no call from Sofa Mart. I call Sofa Mart again and they tell me there is a record of my issue but they don't know why no one ever called me. The chair is in stock and they will deliver on Friday, they will first call on Thursday night to let me know what time the will deliver. Surprise, no phone call Thursday night. Call Sofa Mart AGAIN on Friday and they say they never said they were going to deliver anything and to make matters worse they now claim the chair should of been checked prior to taking off their property and now they don't want to replace the chair. The "split fabric" is clearly a manufacture issue but Sofa Mart does not care! American Furniture is down the street, NEVER EVER go to Sofa Mart!! read more

My husband and I have purchased a sectional, a full bedroom set, a huge dining room table, head board and other various items over the course of 2 years from this location. Most recently when our delivery came they didn't bring our coffee table we ordered. They said they didn't have it on the truck. So we called the store and even with the order number they couldn't find the order. We called back the next day only to be given the run around and to be told we should just come pick it up ourselves. No apology, no offers to refund the delivery fee, nothing but bad customer service. We came into the store and they once again couldn't find our table. They told us there were two on the floor and to pick out which ever one we wanted. After looking at them we discovered both of them were damaged. I told them I'd prefer a new one and we would come back in a few days when it arrived. We of course never revived a call telling us it arrived so when I called back I had to yet again be put on hold for 15 minutes while they tried to find my table. I was then told it would be in on Monday and they would call us...guess what...no call. So I called and was finally told they just don't have it in their warehouse. Information that would have been great a month ago! I had them just refund the $600 coffee table then and there. The worst part about this was that I was given no apology, not even the slightest bit of empathy. I didn't care that the table wasn't in, I was furious for the lack of communication and the horrific customer service. We have spent almost 10k in that store. We will never return. read more

I was then informed my dresser and nightstands would be in in 2 weeks, then it was 4 weeks. I called for updates in January and they say "oh we don't know it will be in soon". Then when the furniture does arrive I am told it is damaged and must be reordered and won't be in until June/July 2020. Completely ridiculous so I cancelled that order and asked for side tables to be delivered as I originally wanted them delivered with the bedroom furniture. Fine I take time out of my day to wait for my furniture. My delivery window passes and I call the store. Apparently they didn't have the furniture at the warehouse and didn't think to call or let me know my furniture wasn't coming. They then say I'll get my side tables a week and a half later. Today the delivery truck shows up and says my tables were damaged and needed to be reordered. So I call and cancel my order. This is completely unacceptable and while I like the furniture I did get I'll never be back and I'll make sure all my friends and family know not to shop here. read more

Bought a "leather" reclining sofa that started ripping and cracking 7 months after purchase. Leg rests aren't leather and vinyl started cracking immediately. Soon after, creases started to appear in the seats and back. The paint/stain cracked and the leather started ripping. This is seriously poor quality leather. It's thin and not durable at all. Screws kept falling out of recliner mechanism. Fortunately, I could find them and put them back in, but really? Just kept happening. (I did buy a kids bed and dresser here that is fine. I'm not even sure if I would give this store any stars. This was the most horrific experience ever at "Sofa Mart" in Lonetree. There is definitely room for quite a few coaching opportunities. The management team definitely needs leadership training. The sales team (will not call out any person specifically) needs to do a better job with customer follow thru AFTER the purchase has been made. Customer service DOES NOT stop when the Bill of Sale has been signed. Finally, the employee(s) who answer the main line should understand they are the first impression for the potential customer(s). Needless to say, the merchandise was returned with a full refund issued. I was able to go to American Furniture Warehouse for the same set, but paid less deliver fees AND the customer service was top notch! Terrible customer service, no refunds after pick up (just store credit). Prices are 30% over what you'd pay at American Furniture. We called in the morning, asked if the rest if the items we purchased from the previous day were available. We're told to it would all arrive at 3pm. Called at 6pm while on the way back to the store, called while on the way, and was advised that only half our stuff was there. Got there, 3/4 of the stuff was still on the truck, which we got right away, and 1/4 was no where to be found. The guy working the dock all day was great, but the experience and miscommunication is terrible. Oh, and wood future is all damaged and gouged too, just over priced imported crap. Just got a call today saying that our footboard would not be in for another 2 weeks or mid july. We order, they say it will be in at a certain time, we don't hear from them, we call to see what's going on, low and behold our order is back ordered, we continue to call each month, then it's been there for two weeks and they never called to let us know and set up delivery! We went in knowing we wanted to buy living room chairs, and was greeted by a sales woman directly - she gave us her name and then promptly disappeared. Once we made our choice, we had to have another sales rep find her. Then when inputting our order she kept getting the fabric and chair styles mixed up! Worried what we were finally going to get delivered, but it worked out - except for the delivery guys were jerks!! They wanted to just leave the chairs in the foyer - when they just had to go an additional 10 steps to put them in place! We had shopped several places and knew what we wanted. When we came to Sofa Mart, the young man was very, very helpful. He asked if we had an idea of what we were looking for, which we did. He showed us several options. The price was lower than the exact same furniture we had looked at elsewhere, and we could have it delivered in just days, rather than weeks like the other stores told us. Went in today to look for a new sleeper sofa. Was able to talk them down on the price and got a great deal. Very pleased with the process.

I was happy with our furniture until I had a warranty claim and was informed that if I couldn't return the piece (full sized, power reclining sofa) that I would be charged $45 for them to transport the piece back/forth from my home. This was nowhere in the warranty paperwork that I signed upon purchase which I had reviewed before calling them. I was told that my salesperson would have told me about it. It's a three year warranty; how is someone supposed to remember what a salesperson told them years after purchasing furniture? They could tell me the transportation fee is $100 and I have no way to refute it. To make matters worse, their repair man only works on Wednesdays so if he doesn't get to your piece you're stuck waiting another week+ for your furniture. Keep in mind that they won't schedule delivery until it's complete so you won't get your furniture on Thursday. It's likely not coming back until Friday or Saturday. We had to return our sofa twice for repairs (got the first transportation fee refunded bc of the delay, and refused to pay it the second time because the next repair was within about a month). Both times the couch was returned on Monday or Tuesday and we were out a couch for two weeks! After the most recent repair only the bottom part of our couch was given to the delivery team; no backs. We had to wait until Monday (this was Saturday) to get our entire couch. Monday came with the entire couch, but no power cord. My husband had to go to the store to get it or wait for it to be delivered the next day. My matching recliner now has a broken seam, but I'm not willing to go without it for two weeks, so I am just dealing with it. Don't waste your money or time...you'll spend more of both down the line. *note that management was contacted both times and we got apologies (and the first fee refunded) but nothing more. read more

Second bad experience here, but lesson learned, we will NOT be back, EVER! This time, we went in with the exact desk we wanted in mind as we had shopped and compared online. Matthew Day was our sales rep. We paid $1,500 in full and told him we wanted a delivery date of Feb. 2nd, to which he responded that while the desk was on back order, it showed they'd have more in stock by the end of January, so delivery on Feb. 2nd "would not be a problem". By the evening of Feb. 1st, when we had not received a call/text with a delivery window for the next day, I called. Andy (who I can only assume is a manager) answered ... he looked up our order and advised that the system showed the desk would not be in stock until some time in mid-February!! No one bothered to call, nothing. So of course, I was a little upset. To Andy's credit, he was VERY apologetic and VERY nice ... told me he would get with Matthew the next day but promised a $150 credit toward the desk if we kept our order and chose not to cancel. I appreciated Andy's help and demeanor. He apparently did chat the next day w/Matthew as Matthew started calling my husband several times on Saturday and Sunday but they did not connect. I ended up calling Matthew back Monday afternoon to speak w/him about the situation. He was self-righteous, cocky and arrogant ... repeated at LEAST 4x that he knows what he told us, that he never said he could have the desk delivered on Feb. 2nd, that ... "it's on the receipt", "it's on the receipt", "it's on the receipt" ... finally I told him we were talking in circles (because if I'd heard "it's on the receipt" one more time, I was going to lose it) ... told him that it was our understanding when we left that the desk COULD be delivered on the 2nd or, we'd have not placed the order or paid ... and that while we'd wait on the desk this time, we would not be back to Furniture Row. But before I hung up, I wanted to confirm with him what Andy had promised, that we'd receive $150 discount for the misunderstanding and inconvenience. Matthew again started with, "it's on the receipt that there was no guarantee for a Feb. 2nd deliver day" and sure enough, I lost it. I asked to speak w/Andy and was told "he's out of town" but Matthew advised that he'd "text Andy" regarding the $150 discount and get back to me. Neither my husband nor I have heard a peep back from him. So, we are CANCELLING the desk and will be demanding an immediate refund. I called to speak with Andy this morning but was told he is not in today, but will be back tomorrow, so I will call tomorrow at 10 a.m. to cancel. I wanted Andy to know (for all the good it will do) how awful one of his sales persons is, and that MATTHEW is the reason they lost this sale, and now, they have lost our business, once and for all. HORRIFIC customer service from him, and then to not even get back to us as he said he would ... but, given how he was with me on the phone, not surprised. He is in the wrong line of work. (as far as our FIRST bad experience w/Furniture Row, don't even get me started) :) Just an FYI ... AFW has almost the exact desk, for $100 cheaper, it's in stock, and the sales people are MUCH nicer and more accommodating. read more

First of all, I want to start by saying that I have always shopped at furniture row- and mostly have always had an above expectation experience. Although this last time-my finance and I came in to buy a few items- as we came in the store we were immediately pounced on by a young girl named Amanda. Kindly she asked "has anyone helped you yet?" We said no that we were just looking for now. Amanda did not seem to understand that, and watched and followed us to everything we looked at as she tried to pitch every item. We quickly became annoyed of someone hovering and when we didn't like a certain color of dresser and drawers with our new bed frame she tried to talk us in to it- each one (4 different colors.) At that point we felt like I wasn't up to us anymore. She was very pushy and did not let us be alone to talk about what we wanted. We ended up buying a bed frame, 2 night stands and a dresser Now I was going to give her the benefit of the doubt and not write a review- but more came forth and I can't explain my frustration else where. She had told me that the dresser would be in stock in early June and that they would call. When I called today an operator told me that it now is going to be in early July. I then asked for a quicker shipment on my other items and I would pick up the dresser myself once it came in- Amanda answered and as she looked in to our account she quickly remembered us. She went over my order although she left out one nightstand- she then began to tell me that she forgot to add in another nightstand when we ordered it and blamed it on being late in the day and rushing. (We were in there at 10AM... with no rush at all) She knew my frustration and told me she would add on my nightstand to my account- then continued and had the nerve to ask for my CC number so I could pay the tax. At that point I was ready to let her know that she needed to pay for it because the mistake was on her. I do not like sales people who push you and convince you to by something you don't want. I also don't appreciate that you lie about why you "forgot" to add on one of my furniture items. When we come in from now- we will chose the person who can help us- I will no longer just go along with a pushy sales woman/man. read more

I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone. I recently purchased a couch, love seat and a trunk coffee table and the polite salesman told us that it would be delivered in 2 to 3 weeks. We got a delivery on the last day of the 3rd week but without the coffee table. The polite delivery man said that they did not have the table and that someone would call in the next couple of days to schedule a delivery. After 3 days my wife called them and their records showed that all items were delivered, but they could have it to us approximately in a week unless we wanted to cancel the order. The rep on the other end was very difficult to understand and struggled with his English which was frustrating. He did his job and convinced us to cancel the order with no apology or empathy. Will not purchase from them again. Have yet to see the credit but its only been a day. read more

The selection is decent enough, though slightly over-priced for the true quality. We were in the hunt for loco room furniture, chairs, tables, and rugs. We found a few recliners and a love seat we liked, but the delivery time was 2 weeks for chairs, and September for the love seat. Not even close for what we need! After looking into the furniture maker, I found some pretty negative reviews, which makes me feel better about not making a purchase. Keep looking elsewhere for lower quality furniture at a better price, or a higher priced store for more dependable pieces. read more

Our original experience was great. The rest of the story has been frustrating & frankly, for the amount of $$ we're spending, bad customer service. In store, Not too pushy with the sale (except pushing us to buy the the warranty). Then, our order was delivered in the time frame promised, however there was a problem with the leather sectional//the dye lots didn't match so we had two orange-ish colors & two dark brown. The Manager was responsive over the phone & let us keep the sofa while he promised to order 4 new pieces. That was in early March. We followed up in April--when pieces were supposed to be delivered. Our original salesperson couldn't see a new order, & promised to follow up. We heard nothing. For over 2 weeks. It took me going back to the store to resolve this. With a manager. And the new sofa is being delivered...in Mid-May to June. Yup. Oh; and I was offered an in-store credit, before I made a stink & then I got $250 back on my card. About 7% off. Horrible follow up. Update: After the problems we had getting our furniture delivered we talked to the manager and he admitted there was a mistake, apologized, got our delivery scheduled for the next day, and waived the delivery fee. Based on their response to fixing this issue I raised my review to 3 stars, I do respect when a company can admit mistakes and work to correct them. Also, it was not cheap but we do really like the furniture we picked out. I will likely keep them on our list of places to look for future purchases. ------------- Horrible costumer service! First of all our sales associate lied to us about the pieces of the sectional that were available. We were in rush to purchase furniture due to an upcoming surgery and she knew we would not buy the set without one of the key pieces of the sectional. At first she said it wasn't available but when we wavered on our decision she said that she found one. She assured us that we would get the section we wanted so we went ahead with the purchase. Delivery was on schedule but the key piece we wanted was not on the truck. So the sales associate obviously lied to us to close the sale. That just shows very low character; I'm not sure how people like that sleep at night. I don't know if the sales associates are paid commission but I assume so with that kind of behavior. So then they rescheduled the delivery of two missing pieces and they never showed up during our delivery window. When we called the store they told us that all deliveries were cancelled due to the weather. That is understandable except no one called us to let us know. So we wasted a large portion of our day waiting for nothing. We are just very frustrated with the shady associates and poor communication of their deliveries. Absolute nightmare. Terrible experience. The sales guy was a terrific guy but when it came to the delivery, they are absolutely awful and a mess. They called few days before the delivery to set a date and time. My husband took the day off so we won't be an inconvenience to the delivery guys of not being there or having them wait for us to get home. When they got there, they left one piece of our sectional back at the warehouse because it didn't fit inside the truck. Which i find ridiculous because they load trucks the night before and I don't understand how they couldn't get a 2nd truck for our furniture. Part of paying for the delivery is to have all of our stuff delivered at the same time. He didn't bother to tell us this over the phone either. After he shares this news in person, he tells us that the piece they didn't bring wouldn't actually fit through our staircase. It's weird that the only piece that won't fit is the piece they didn't bring. He recommended us to order the piece again but have it be in 2 pieces. I called the customer service and asked them to deliver the piece that they didn't bring and we will work it out on our own, I didn't want to pay for the 25% penalty of returning a special order. They said they will deliver the last piece the next day and we will get a call in the evening of the time of delivery. We waited and waited and never got a call. I called and the assistant manager shares the news that they forgot to load our furniture, which means we won't be getting it the next day. They were going to charge us $100 for each day they were delivering, even on the 2nd day that wasn't our fault to start with. They offered to not charge us for those 2 days ($200 refund) and will deliver our piece the following day. I called again the next day to make sure our piece and the pillows will be arriving the next day. Their delivery process is unprofessional and extremely inconvenient. I would never shop from this store again. I rather take my business to somewhere that will make the process easy from beginning to end.
