If you're looking for an affordable bowling alley to go to with your family or a group of friends on the weekends after 7 PM, then Funtime Bowl delivers. We went recently as a group of six and played two games and it was fun without breaking the bank. They charged per person per lane and it was a fair price. Shoes were $3.80 and the game fee for each person was $4 before 8 PM and $5.80 after 8 PM. My mother in law arrived before us, so she decided to pre pay for the lane and our shoes and it was a simple pick up at the shoe counter once we arrived about 10-15 minutes later. The customer service was good and the music selection had a nice mix of old and new with some line dance songs as well (Flex, Walk it Out). I found myself singing along a few times to the R&B hits (Mario, Whitney Houston, Glorilla). I thought the playlist was good because there was a mix of young and older people in the room. My son got hungry and ordered some wings and fries for $10 for 10 pcs, fries and a drink and he said it was good. We wanted to order some after him as well because the menu was pretty affordable ($18 for a 20 pcs with fries and a drink, $8 cheeseburger with fries and a drink), but it took too long for the cook to return and our second game ended up ending. First time here yesterday. It was really fun! But I will admit I was a bit disappointed there was no food for purchase, and the only thing you can buy was with cash at vending machines like snacks and drinks. If they had an actual bar to buy pizza and wings, I'd give it another star. read more

Definitely basic, 90s bowling place. Their wings are AMAZING NOW! They're cooking them from scratch these days. They also had catfish and fries and things of that nature. Friendly staff (mostly) Don't expect much if you're looking for a high end place. But great family fun at an affordable price read more

What's good about it? Very reasonable bowling prices. I love the guys who run the concession stand, the service and food are great. Pro shop is awesome as well, Mr. Charles knows his stuff. What's not so good? The lanes are raggedy as hell! Every other frame you have to go to the desk to get help for one problem or another. Yes, you read that right...there is no way to call for service from your lane. My new ball got some nasty gashes while stuck in the return as well. I guess you get what you pay for. read more

If you're looking for somewhere sexy to take a first date... this place is not for you. The building housing the facility is older and the signs for this establishment are extremely faded(I almost passed it looking for it). The equipment is old but everything seemed to be in working order. If you're looking for somewhere cost effective to take you family for a couple hours of fun... sure! Prices are very reasonable. Customer Service was great. I took my 5 and 3 yr old. The gentleman at the counter was very helpful. By the time we had on our shoes on they already had the bumpers, ball ramp and 6 lb balls in our lane prepared without being prompted. There are days when this place is crowded, but there are arcade machines, seating and a Large TV to help you pass the time. The food is actually pretty good, maybe not the best as in terms of a restaurant, but damn tasty for a bowling alley. This alley charges good prices for shoes starting around $3 and up depending on the time you come and the same for games(per game charges). After Night there is something called comic bowl, where the lights are turned off and the neon lights come on and music play, this makes a pleasant place to come for a causal date. The hours of operations are pretty wide, so this place is available at so many different time slots. So If you stay in Clayton County or if you stay not to far, you must visit this place... if not for bowling visit to see me get a strike while drunk.. Funtime Bowl is simple and cool! The lanes are real unlike the laminate on the newer alleys. The cooks treat us like family and there are a few people at the desk who are very friendly and helpful. It's close to home, very reasonably priced and well kept for an older bowling alley. We enjoy going when there's not leagues. Which seems to be most days. Came here with my husband Wednesday night, they have a special of .99 cents a game $3.00 shoes after 5pm. It's was a lot of fun, it being my third time bowling. But the staff was friendly and the people bowling for the night where cool. Really great bowling alley - not crowded, cheap, has draft beer and is all around pretty much a dive. Only complaint is recently the front counter staff has gotten a little... attitude? Just ignore anyone who is rude and have fun bowling. Cosmic starts at 9 and is only $4 a game. read more

I am visiting from out of state and my sister thought it would be nice to go bowling... maybe so but we made an awful choice apparently. Customer service was very poor in particular the girl that's at the front desk greeting and taking care of customers. Initially she refused a request to have shoes sprayed that had been on the counter. We had asked her to put the bumpers up and we had to ask her multiple times and her answer repeatedly was, "once they are down they are down". We had to ask her what exactly that meant, she said the bumpers are put up and down manually, still didn't understand what that meant or I guess why it was an issue for her to put the bumpers up on our lane. It is part of your job while on shift why make an issue of it. The over all attitude was poor and very dismissive. I feel that even one star is generous. read more

This is the worst bowling alley I've ever been to! The place is so broke down and ghetto!!! I called and ask for rates and the ignorant b**** couldn't even understand what rates meant! I guess I should have broke it down for her uneducated a**! The staff are rude except the lady who cooks and serves beer...however the lanes don't work right there isno laser bowl they just turn the lights off where you cant even see to bowl!! I have an issue that someone needs to handle. A few us my husband and I invited some friends down to enjoy at night of bowling at your place. As we came in the sandy blonde girl wearing a white tee shirt was sitting behind the counter talking to a female. As we approched the counter she said with an attitude "i aint got no lane, i have a turnament going on". I asked how long do you think it will be before you have a lane? She rolled her eyes (still sitting on the stool) never got up to be professional and greet us as customers. She then replied not until 8 or 9 o clock. Then she went on to talking to her friend as if we was bothering her!! As i turn around to see what they wanted to do (my friends) i hear the girl "white girl" behind the counter tell her friend "black girl" that she cant stand White People. Yes we all are white. Then her friend "black girl" asked her why. She replied because they act stupid. I then told my friends "Lets go" I was not going to spend my hard earn money in this place no matter if they had lanes or not. I told my friends what i had heard and they was just as pissed off as I was and they realized i said lets go for a reason. I dont appreciate coming to your business to be disrespected by your employee. I have posted this on my facebook to see what the feed back would be and they all agree to email management. Some say to call the news crew because that was rascial profiling and very disrespectful. My family had been coming there for years and now I would never step foot in this place. I think something needs to be done about this and if not I will make sure any and everyone i know that goes here will take their money else where.
